Anushka was the biggest reason for buyers
Anushka was the biggest reason for buyers to show interest in Varna movie. All the posters of this film are covered with Anushka's stills. Hero Arya is rarely seen on Varna posters. The buyers and makers belief in Anushka hasn't been letdown. She has proved her crowd pulling capabilities with Varna.
This film opened to eighty percent collections on the first day. The collections were good through the weekend despite the disastrous talk. People are willing to sit through the torture to watch Anushka on big screen. Although Varna is going to end up as flop, Anushka's crowd pulling power has been proved yet again with it.
Even few noted heroes are not able to get good openings in the recent past. When compared to them, Anushka is definitely a safe bet for buyers. She will be big asset for Baahubali and if Gunasekhar doesn't mess it up, he has a potential winner on his hands in the form of Rudrama Devi.
Dil Raju want to make it big
Producer and distributor Dil Raju doesn't plan his releases well. Off late he has been struggling to release his movies in time for various reasons. Besides those reasons, his announcement of release dates is irking other filmmakers as their plans are going haywire. He has done that with SVSC and Ramayya Vastavayya in the past and now he is doing the same with Yevadu.
He has sent a press note recently that Yevadu will release on December 19. But the latest information says that few of the distributors of Yevadu were informed that it will release for Pongal only. Buyers are ready to shell extra bucks on Yevadu if it releases for Pongal and hence Dil Raju is going for Pongal release, says the buzz.
Ram Charan and co. are also keen on Pongal release as the pre festive period will be very dull and it is suicidal for such a big film to go for release in off season. Particularly for Yevadu, the movie got stale due to the delays and it needs a good season to grab the attention of audience.
