Ravi Teja Clarifies and Requests Media!

Mass Maharaja, Ravi Teja, met the press today and opened up about his brother’s death. The star hero said that the various reports that have been coming out in the media about why he did not attend the funeral are just baseless and media should think once before reporting such incidents.

He also added that no one knows what kind of relationship he shares with his brother and why he did not come to his funeral. Ravi Teja humbly requested a few YouTube channels not to spread fake news only for a few hits and money.

On the other hand, the media members also did not leave the star hero alone and fired questions saying that it is not fair to blame the entire media for someone else’s deeds.

Finally, Ravi Teja concluded by saying that he was beside his parents who were in an inconsolable position and that is the reason he did not come to the funeral. Ravi Teja’s brother, Bharath died in a tragic road accident recently on the outer ring road of Hyderabad.

Ravi Teja to team up with Race Gurram Writer!

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja wasted almost a year time to sign his next film even though his last movie Bengal Tiger was an above average grosser. All these days, he listened to various scripts. He gave nod for few directors, but shelved them since he wasn't convinced with scripts. Chakri's Robinhood is one amongst them.

Recently, there were reports that, Ravi Teja will next work with his close friend director Bobby with whom he previously associated for Power. Nonetheless, this movie wouldn't take off immediately, as Ravi Teja will soon team up with Race Gurram writer Vikram Siri.

Billed to be a mass action entertainer, Vallabhaneni Vamsi will present the film, while Nallamalupu Bujji will produce it. Vakkantham Vamsi has provided story, whereas Vikram Siri is penning screenplay and dialogues for the film along with Deepak Raj. 

This yet to be titled movie marks Vikram's directorial debut will be launched soon. Buzz is that, the film is centered around a larger than life policeman played by Ravi Teja. More details about the movie are awaited. 

Bobby Should Thank Ravi Teja?

After disastrous result of Sardaar Gabbar Singh in April, director Bobby aka KS Ravindra has totally disappeared and wasn't seen in any public events, outings. Bobby was out of limelight, media glare and maintained a low-profile. In fact, many reports, speculations had it that Bobby may be jobless as it'd be difficult for him to get a project.

Proving them wrong, at last, Bobby is back to call the shots as he is all set to start his next film soon. He will be directing none other than Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja with whom he made his directorial debut 'Power'.

However, writer-turned-director Bobby isn't providing the story for the film with Ravi Teja. The yet-to-be-titled film will have story by Kona Venkat. Touted to be a high-budget film, Chuttalabbayi producer Ram Talluri is going to bankroll the project under SRT Entertainments banner. If all goes well as per the plan, the movie will go onto floors in September.

Bobby and Ravi Teja are more than friends and share brotherly bonding which was openly admitted by Bobby himself. Looks like, Ravi has come to the rescue of Bobby in tough times and Bobby must thank Ravi.

Among the most waited films of the season, Mass Raja's comedy caper also tops the list. With long pending films like Rudramadevi, Baahubali and Srimanthudu fixing their dates, cinema lovers are eagerly looking for "Kick 2" to hit theatres.

Whatever the reasons are for the delay, music composer Thaman is still re-recording the film and this time he is giving awesome sound in 'Dolby Atmos' format. Earlier Kick 2 was supposed to hit screens on June 26th but with Rudramadevi occupying that slot, it looks tough for producer Kalyan Ram to arrive on that date. Before Baahubali arrives on July 10th, there is July 3rd available but no film wants to dare to fix on that Friday since Rudramadevi and Baahubali will be arriving in huge chunk of theatres giving no space for others. On July 17th there is Srimanthudu waiting to roar.

Latest update is that Kick 2 team has decided to come on either on 30th July or 31st July. They want to somersault all the biggies in the race. There is no question of ants in pants moments by locking horns with Rudramadevi, Baahublai and Srimanthudu. Why to give away revenues unnecessarily?

Slapping a punch on all young heroes, Raviteja dominated the mighty Nizam area collections on the First Monday with his 'Power'. Though overall collections of 'Power' might fell short of other biggies like 'Aagadu' and 'Rabhasa' in that case, it amassed 80 lakhs on First Monday in Nizam area.

Standing in second place, Jr NTR's Rabahsa made staggering 59 lakhs, while youngster 'Alludu Seenu' pocketed 43 lakhs. Most shocking result is that Mahesh Babu managed to collect only 42 lakhs with 'Aagadu' on First Monday Nizam. Well, Ravi's 'Power' dominated the show then. 

Srinu vitla's writer to direct Ravi Teja?

Ace writer Kona Venkat, has been planning to get into direction from quite some time now.

He has expressed this in several interviews, and if the current reports are to be believed, Kona is all set to direct Ravi Teja in his next.

Reports also reveal that Kona has narrated a script to Ravi Teja, and if everything goes on well this flick might go on floors in 2015. Kona has currently penned dialogues for Ravi Teja’s latest hit Power.

The makers of Power seem to be very anxious about the movie release and success. Their anxiety is so high that they have been making changes to their film till the last moment. Hero of the film, Ravi Teja watched the movie along with other unit members at Prasad Labs on Wednesday night. He felt that the movie length is still on a higher side and decide to cut few scenes. The makers after so many discussions and consultations finally decided to make the changes just before the film's release. These changes are reflected in all the prints of the Telugu States.

However the overseas audience will get to see the 'uncut' version as the prints to the overseas locations were already dispatched even before the decision of trimming is made. Ravi Teja's Power has released today with a grand release across the globe. There are no big movies in the theaters so most of the theaters are free and the makers managed to release the film in highest number of theaters in Ravi Teja's career. Hansika is the female lead in the movie. YVS Chowdary, the room mate of Ravi Teja before coming in to movies, was supposed to produce the film on his Bommarillu vari banner, but he backed out of the deal due to the finance problems. Famous Kannada producer, Rockline Venkatesh is producing it. Thaman has composed tunes for the movie, his seventh time for Ravi Teja.

This movie is going to be an out and out commercial entertainer with that regular formulaic masala stuff. What could be noted in Power teaser is that Raviteja will be speaking in Hyderabadi lingo when he deals with goons. This is the act first done by Superstar Mahesh Babu for his Dookudu. He uses Hyderabadi lingo while engaging with goons and regular Telugu during other scenes. That clicked well with the audiences and the result is awesome.

And with Raviteja replicating this Dookudu act means, one can expect how hard he is trying to crack a blockbuster success. As these days completely belong to formulaic films, maybe we can say that Raviteja's Mahesh acts will surely yield him positive things.

Super Star Mahesh Babu, who is currently working with Srinu Vaitla for Aagadu seems to have decided on his next project.

There were rumors earlier that he would be working with Koratala Shiva after Aagadu. But it is learnt that Mahesh is not very happy with Koratala Shiva’s script that he wanted to go ahead with another director.

Of course with 1 movie debacle he does not want to take risks at this point, so it is learnt that before Koratala tweaks his script to a mutually agreeable tone he would go ahead with another project and it would be under Puri Jagannath.

That’s right. Mahesh agreed to work under Puri Jaganath after Aagadu. Puri already narrated a story to Mahesh and it seems Mahesh liked it and said his willingness for the project!

Raviteja has no dearth of mass fan following, which is on par with any young heroes in the industry.  But, this time that has been virtually proved and that too in a record range as the teaser got 4,47,000 views in the YouTube in just two days, which is something sensational when compared to his earlier records.

Expressing his happiness, director Bobby said that the huge response showcase the power of Raviteja among the youth audience and as the title suggests, the movie is really going to be power packed entertainer.

Raviteja all in sudden became part of Rudramadevi

For long we were into the feeling that Gunasekhar roped Mahesh for a cameo in his Dream project and periodic drama Rudramadevi. But if reports from Tollywood sources are to be believed then Gunasekhar roped in Ravi Teja to play an important role in the period drama Rudramadevi.

Prince Mahesh was supposed to play the role, however, due to reasons best known to both Raviteja suddenly came into the picture and it seems he agreed to play the same. We are waiting for official confirmation from the makers.

Raviteja and Gunasekhar’s combination resulted in a box office disaster called Nippu but friendship between the two has bloomed ever since.

Mass Raja Raviteja's upcoming movie is titled 'Power' and the first look poster is released today to enthral fans. Actually this is the first title earlier thought for the movie 'Nippu' and then for 'Balupu', but later both the movies opted out. Anyhow, Ravi got back to his favourite title 'Power' and the way he poses on his Royal Enfield bike is simply a stunner. His shabby beard and terrific khaki uniform are upping excitement levels.
 
'Power' is directed by writer KS Ravindra alias Bobby and produced by Rockline Venkatesh. Our hero is expecting to repeat the success streak he scored with 'Balupu' with 'Power' such that his limping market will get revived. For now, this look is amazing, so let us wait for teaser folks! 












Yevadu spoiling youth

Tollywood is one place where everything goes viral, both in positive and negative aspects. If a heroine gets one hit, then everyone run after her and if a director scores flop, then everyone keeps him off. If a particular kind of story clicks, then everyone starts making similar stories.

Rated by critics as average stuff and audiences as superb movie, Ram Charan's 'Yevadu' is spinning a magic at box office with thunderous collections. In a couple days, the movie will enter into 40 Crore club without any hurdles. However, success of Yevadu is throwing wrong dice at young heroes as they are getting lured into the trap that only 'masala' movies are working at box office. Many of these heroes are now asking directors to bring something like Yevadu such that they could score a blockbuster.

That will be wrong notion if our heroes think that Yevadu kind of stories will also work for them. For Ram Charan, mass fan base is strong and such flicks also remind fans about Chiru a lot. So, they work for Cherry. But other heroes making the same wild goose chase will finally end them in a dump.

That sounds very much like a movie title. Anyway Vaani is Nani’s co-actor in his upcoming movie Aha Kalyanam, a remake of Bollywood’s blockbuster, Band Baja Baaraat. The talented actor is showering his co-actor with praises.

Nani says that Vaani is a dedicated artiste and that will take her a long way in her acting career. He shared that Vaani would do lot of homework. That she would write down her dialogues of next day’s shoot and get them byheart at home and come to shooting all geared up pronouncing like a native! He said that Vaani’s hardwork made his job lot easier in the movie!

Vaani’s posters in saree are already creating quite a buzz with netizens and people appreciating her  yet girl next door looks. It is heard that there is already a beeline of makers at Vani’s house including Gabbar Singh 2 makers. But we wonder if Vani would take up any other assignment because of the YRF’s mandatory rule of doing three movies for them.

After Balupu Ravi Teja surely took time to get on with his next project and we have heard that the Mass Maharaja  had become ever cautious in picking scripts and he’s done that finally.

That’s right he’s gearing up for his next with Bobby (Balupu writer KS Ravindra Reddy) and the movie gets a really interesting title, Power and the tagline says Unlimited.

Ravi Teja is playing a cop in the movie and a very naughty one at that. We hear that the makers are planning to release first look of Power -Unlimited on Ravi Teja’s birthday that falls on January 26th.

Shooting for Power Unlimited is going on fast with makers claiming 30% shooting done, and they say it will go on nonstop till its done fully. Their plan is to release the movie post summer 2014.

Balupu writer KS Ravindra is debuting into direction with this movie and it is learnt that Ravi Teja has so much confidence in the young man. Rockline Venkatesh is producing the movie on his home banner Rockline Entertainments Pvt. Ltd banner. Music for the movie is being rendered by SS Thaman.

Pawan Kalyan once again dominated everyone by taking away the number one hit of the year. Last year he entered the sixty crore club with that year's top hit Gabbar Singh and this year he broke the number one record of Magadheera with Attarintiki Daredi. Now this film has set Rs. 75 crore benchmark for the next films to come.

Mahesh Babu's superb form continued in this year too. He has scored a hat trick of hits with SVSC. This film is the top 2 film with a share of Rs. 52 crore. Mahesh Babu is eyeing yet another Sankranthi hit with 1 Nenokkadine. He will have two releases next year and therefore he has high chances to bag the top hit of 2014.

Jr. NTR had a mixed year with one hit and one disaster to his credit. With Badshah, NTR has entered the Rs. 40 crore club for the first time in his career. With a total tally of Rs. 45 crore share Badshah stood at fifth position in top hits of the year. However his most anticipated Ramayya Vastavayya ended up as one of the biggest flops of the year.

Ram Charan too performed identical to that of NTR this year. His Naayak was a hit and made Rs. 46 crore at the box office. But his Bollywood debut Zanjeer/Thoofan was a colossal flop. He will be coming for Pongal with Yevadu to test his luck.

Prabhas surprised everyone with one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. Mirchi collected a share of Rs. 48 crore by releasing in an off season. This film proved how big a star is Prabhas. His craze among family audience and youth has multiplied in the last few years and that was seen with Mirchi.

Allu Arjun had only one release this year. Iddarammayilatho opened well but couldn't hold up there for long. This film is a flop, but Allu Arjun has some interesting films to follow up next year.

Raviteja broke the jinx with Balupu and ended his six flop streak. This film collected a share of over Rs. 28 crore and producers trust him once again.

Nagarjuna had a dismal year with two major disasters to his credit. Greeku Veerudu and Bhai both were super flops. He did a cameo in Jagadguru Adi Shankara and that too was a flop.

Venkatesh too suffered two big flops with Shadow and Masala. He is a part of successful SVSC and that is the only respite for this senior star.

Balakrishna didn't have a release in 2013. In thirty years of his career, this is the first time ever that Balakrishna turned a calendar without single film to his credit.

If Ravi Teja can talk about one great break he got he would rave about Vikramarkudu for sure. The movie in the combination of creative director SS Rajamouli has created sensation at the box office and went on to impress even the Bollywood movie lovers after being remade into Hindi.

The movie will also be remembered for its signature tune and dance of ‘Jintata Jita Jita….’ One cannot deny the fact that this signature has helped to popularize the movie and the same signature sound went on to impress millions of audience and viewers across India. Now this very same signature sound is going to be a movie title. This is the title being considered for Ravi Teja’s next film.

Balupu writer Bobby will be at the helm and Rockline Entertainments will produce the movie. Hansika has been roped into the project as Ravi Teja’s romantic interest in the movie. And we came to know that the makers have already registered ‘Jintata Jita Jita’ title with the film chamber. What more can we expect from Ravi Teja for who the title looks so apt. We just wish it makes another big hit!

Surekha Vani, who shone to limelight with TV show ‘Moguds Pellams’, later got good opportunities as a character artist in movies significantly remembered for roles like sister, aunty, etc. Her career seems to be ended as any other character artist career which is of a very short period and Surekha Vani did maximum number of films in this very short period.

Recently, when she was asked the reason for not being seen on the big screen and in spite of her charm why has not she become that much famous.  Surekha replied that, to become famous one has to do item numbers and vamp characters; and they are not her cup of her tea as she comes from a decent family and not a ‘boring papa’ and added that this attitude of her was the reason why industry is neglecting her.

To attract youth and mass, certain compromises have to be made by the actors/actresses.  If they try to move on with certain uncompromised image, producers may not dare to offer the roles which in turn affect their career. Final verdict is be prepared for any kind of role but with limitations only as this a pure show business.

In the Forbes '2013 Celebrity 100 List', the 'Fame Rank' has quite a few surprises for Tollywood. Despite of their better Celebrity Rank, and Money Rank, bigger stars like Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu are far behind their young competitor Ram Charan.

In terms having 'fame' across the nation and worldwide, Ram Charan stood at 72nd position. However, Tollywood's highest earner and currenty industry record holder Pawan Kalyan stands behind him at 79th place, while Mahesh is further back at 84th place. Surprisingly, Charan is immedialyte followed by Raviteja (73) and Sania Mirza (74) in terms of 'Fame Rank'. Also, senior hero Nagarjuna is also behind Charan at 75th rank. One wonders what made Ram Charan fetch so much fame even though other contenders in the list are somewhat senior and bigger than him.

Many say that Ram Charan's Bollywood entry with flop flick 'Zanjeer' has brought him so much attention. Also Charan's road side brawl involving his security guards catapulted him to headlines. Earlier in 2013, his Naayak showcased his box office potential, and won him accolades. For also being Tourism Minister's son, he got instant recognition in all political circles too.







Why did he missed this logic

The reaction of one particular senior hero regarding the 'figures' published by a leading business and financial magazine, has given food for thought for many. In fact, his silence would have passed like a drizzle, but his reaction is now showering bunch of jokes on him.

In fact, this magazine has published an annual celebrity report where it ranks 100 people across India basing on their earning and fame. Our senior hero is ranked at a higher number and was stated earning around 20 crores this year. Calling it as an inflated fantasy, our hero has given left and right for the magazine, asking its business editors to get their findings validated. Our hero claimed that he earns much lesser than that in a year. This has sent a spark of laughs across Tollywood now.

Apart from the film businesses he is having, this hero owns restaurants, function halls, share in a TV channel, and other sports related teams. Income on all these entities will account to more than 100 crores in a year. When everyone knows about all this, how could he claim that his earning is much lesser than the magazine published? Industry folks are laughing at him for missing this logic.

According to Forbes India, Power Star Pawan Kalyan has pocketed Rs 57 crore income for the year 2013. Pawan is placed at 26th position in Forbes 100 Celebrities list and way ahead than his peers like Mahesh Babu (54), Nagarjuna (61), Ravi Teja (68) and Ram Charan (69). In money ranking, Pawan is at 13th place and in fame ranking the star is at 79th position.

Mahesh Babu's income for the year, according to magazine, is Rs 28.96 crore despite having major brand endorsements under his belt. With this, Pawan Kalyan has pipped Mahesh Babu to the post with just two blockbusters Gabbar Singh and Atharintiki Daredi to his credit.

Kamal Haasan, who is back in news for his controversial film Vishwaroopam, is at 47th position whereas Athiloka Sundari Sridevi bagged 73rd spot. Sania Mirza manages to find place in the 100 Clebrities and she secured 84th rank.







It is tough to find a second heroine


After going through lot of turmoil for not finding right producer who can pay him a fat pay cheque, it seems like our senior hero is now facing problems again. This time it is regarding roping in a second heroine for his upcoming movie whose shooting got began recently.

Mass Raja Raviteja took huge gap of six months for the first time in his career after becoming a sought after hero. In fact, the success of Balupu hasn't made producers pouncing for him as he is repeatedly demanding for more than 7 Cr as remuneration. Finally producer Rockline Venkatesh came all the way from Bangalore to producer Ravi's next directed by writer Bobby. Now, after Hansika is booked as lead girl of this flick, the lookout is for second heroine. Even though a big list is finalized, it seems like those girls are not ready to take up the role.

The likes of Anjali, Praneetha, Richa Gangopadhyay are not ready to work with Ravi as his second heroine, say reports. At the same time newcomers like Amala Paul and Catherine Tresa are also reluctant to pick this role. Let us see who ends up finally as second heroine of Raviteja.

Mass Raja Raviteja’s next project commenced its shooting in Hyderabad.  Being produced by Rock Line Venkatesh of Kannada film industry, the film will be directed by Babji, who was the writer for his last blockbuster hit movie ‘Balupu’.   Speaking on the occasion, Babji said Raviteja is one person in the industry who always encourages talent and dedication of the technicians and thanked him for giving this opportunity by promoting him from a writer to director and that he will prove himself with this film.

Raviteja said that he was lucky to have a fabulous script and an accommodating producer who already rocked the Kannada industry and now it is going to be Tollywood’s turn. Venkatesh, producer of the film said that he did 33 films in Kannada and 2 in Tamil and was trying to make a movie with Raviteja for the last four years which has materialised now  and added like his earlier super hit ‘Vikramarkudu’, this film too will be remake in all languages. Though reports came about Hansika as heroine, no specific mention has been made by the producer.

By delivering back to back flops, Tapsi Pannu got the tag of ‘Iron Leg” in Tollywood.  Producers are scared to cast her in their movies fearing that their movie will have to face a flop.  But Tamil hero Arya seems to have come to her rescue.  Recently, they did a film ‘Arambam’ in Tamil.  During the film shoot, they bonded with each other well and has become good friends also.

To fulfill his responsibility as a friend, Arya kept on recommending her to the producers who are approaching him.  Ultimately, his efforts have become fruitful as one producer came forward with an offer for her.
