Actor Sunil’s upcoming movie, Eedu Gold Ehe, has wrapped up its shooting formalities. The film’s post-production work is already underway and the audio album will be unveiled very soon in this month, while the movie is slated to release on October 7 to cash in on the Dasara season.

Eedu Gold Ehe is an out and out comedy entertainer. The makers claim that Sunil’s performance will be the major highlight of the movie. Richa Panai and Sushma Raj are the female leads in this movie, which has been directed by Veeru Potla and produced by Anil Sunkara.

Sunil's "Eedu Gold Ehe" release date confirmed

After churning out a couple of disappointing films, Sunil got a little breather in the form of Jakkanna, his recent release. And now, Sunil is hoping to capitalize on the positive vibe with his upcoming film, Eedu Gold Ehe.

According to the latest update, the film is slated to hit the screens on September 9th and the makers are planning aggressive promotions in the coming few days. Being directed by Veeru Potla, Eedu Gold Ehe stars Richa Panai and Sushma Raj as the female leads.

The film is being produced by Anil Sunkara and popular composer Mani Sharma’s son Sagar Mahathi has scored the tunes for this comedy entertainer.

N Shankar want to shoot in US, Sunil doesn't want to experiment?

Director N Shankar might have been away from the media glare from longtime now. The director of Jai Bolo Telangana was in news last time when he had claimed he would be teaming up with Kamal Haasan. However, it didn't materialise and Shankar had been away from limelight.

The latest is that Shankar is back in headlines after long hiatus. He has beaten the star producers of film fraternity and bagged the Telugu remake rights of Malayalam super hit Two Countries. The film was one of the most successful Malayalam films and hence there's a great buzz on its Telugu remake especially after films like Drushyam worked well.

Shankar is going to remake the film in Telugu with Sunil as the star. Apparently, Shankar himself going to direct and produce the film. Like its original, Shankar is planning to shoot the total film in US. The firm's muhurat is expected to take place soon. Looks like, Sunil doesn't want to experiment much and wanting to go with a safe bet. 

Jakkanna "highest earner" in Sunil's career!

Once a star comedian, Sunil turned hero and tasted initial success. However, he has been struggling of late to score a solid hit. Recently, Sunil's latest comedy entertainer Jakkanna was released to scathing reviews from most of the critics.

Apart from the critics, even moviegoers gave the film a thumbs down due to the age-old entertainment factor. On the other hand, trade analysts reported that after the opening day bravado, Jakkanna failed to sustain the momentum at the ticket window.

However, the film's producer R Sudharshan Reddy refuses to accept these negative reports on his film and claimed that Jakkanna has collected the highest opening day share of 3.78 crores, creating a new record for Sunil.

Furthermore, the producer stated that Jakkanna went on to collect a whopping 15.28 crore share in 12 days, making it the 'highest earner' in Sunil's career. Jakkanna was directed by Vamsi Krishna Akella and starred Mannara Chopra as the female lead.

Sunil! Stop comparing with Chiranjeevi

Comedian turned Hero Sunil is facing big rejections from audience lately. His monotonous acting and choosing mass scripts turned the major factors for his disasters. While many other heroes are trying to be different in choosing subjects, Sunil is giving same comedy and routine masala, not caring a bit for criticism. 

Sunil is finding it mandate to show off his dances, fights and six pack irrespective of story and scene. Another irking point to many audience is that Sunil is comparing himself a lot to Chiranjeevi these days. Not just imitating Chiru on screen many a time, Sunil compares his films with that of Chiru. When asked to act in somewhat serious films, Sunil pulled up the example of Chiru's Aapadbandhavudu and Chantabbayi, as latter was a huge hit and memorable. In the same context, Sunil revealed why he rejected Bichagadu as he believed it to turn a failure if he acted in it. 

Sunil expresses his confidence in bringing tears from audience with his emotional scenes, but strongly believes that audience won't like them from him, like audience refused Aapadbandhavudu from Megastar. 

In fact, audience expect Sunil to act in movies with comedy touch like Maryada Ramanna and Andala Ramudu, but not his Krishnashtami and Jakkanna. But the comparison of Sunil to Megastar himself is sounding ridiculous.

Sunil's Jakkanna is surprisingly good!

Success might have been eluding comedian-turned-hero Sunil for sometime, yet it didn't deter him pull masses to the theatres. Notwithstanding the negative reviews, Sunil's latest release Jakkanna managed to rake in moolah. The film saw good turnout in B & C Centres. Also, in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, the response for Sunil's film is surprisingly good.

According to trade analysts, Sunil's Jakkanna has done nearly 4 Crore in the first three days and which wasn't expected. In Nizam alone, the film has done 1.5 Crore in the first weekend proving that the actor still enjoys good fan base in masses. 

Though the numbers have dipped a bit from Monday, still we can't rule out the film as it's too early and the film has another 3 days. However, it needs to be seen what would be its fate after the release of Srirasthu Subhamasthu and Manamantha this Friday. 

No one dares to buy Sunil's "Jakanna"!

In what is considered as a major set back, comedian-turned-hero Sunil's forthcoming film Jakkanna may not see the light of the day in overseas market. Poor buzz and Sunil's flop saga is reason behind it and apparently no one in the overseas market is daring to buy the film.

There are no takers for the film in overseas. Though there's a stiff competition in abroad for the distribution of Telugu films of late and the competition is high even for small-hero films, shockingly Sunil's Jakkanna have no takers.

Especially Sunil's last film Krishnashtami was bought in overseas for around Rs 80 Lakh. And much to the dismay, the film even failed to recover its expenses, publicity cost. The distributors suffered heavy losses and no one come to their rescue.This is now said to have telling affect on Jakkanna. Looks like, Sunil's Jakkanna may not hit the screens on July 29 simultaneously with India. Unless the movie receives good talk and positive reviews here, the film may not be released in overseas.

Sunil, who is going through a lean phase, had his last solo success four years ago - Poola Rangadu (2012). He got three poor hits in form of Mr Pellikodudu, Bhimavaram Bullodu and Krishnashtami. He is now pinning all hopes on his next. It's now or never for situation for Sunil. He has to prove himself to continue as hero.

The PMs we are talking about are the 'Profit Makers' that make film industry shine with their stunning collections at box office that make producers, distributors and exhibitors happy. One wonders, how come Sunil joined Ram Charan and here goes the story.

So far in 2014, we have many big films and small films released, and some got super hype but tumbled at box office, while few are slashed by critics but went on showcasing their power in ringing registers. That two heroes that turned profit makers for all the people involved in showbiz business are Ram Charan and Sunil with their Yevadu and Bhimavaram Bullodu. In the case of Yevadu, critics slashed it for regular content, but movie went on collecting a near 50 Cr, leaving everyone jaw dropped.

Sunil's Bhimavaram Bullodu is also rated as an old wine in new bottle, but the film has touched nearly 13 Crores mark by now, and still got one more week to show its strength as there are no other big releases till next Friday. Undoubtedly for this year, Sunil is the only hero after Charan to leave producers happy with huge bucks in pockets. And in the coming months, we have to see who will join this Profit Makers list.

Comedian-turned hero Sunil’s recent release Bhimavaram Bullodu has got poor ratings by Tollywood movie reviewers, the movie has also got mixed talk at the theaters. But that doesn’t seem to show any affect on the box office stamina of the small hero.

Indeed Bhimavaram Bullodu is set to gross about 7 crores in its opening weekend which is a shocker of a figure considering Sunil’s stature! The movie was made at a fairly reasonable budget, and one did not see production values to the range reflective of Suresh Productions.

But it is the mass appeal that seems to working wonders for the movie at the box office and seems a proof of Sunil’s crowd pulling capacity at the B town and C town centers. The movie is doing superb at these respective centers and the movie is exceedingly doing well on second and third days when trade expected its collections to fall flat owing to bad reviews. Now estimates say that by second weekend it will end in huge profits!

Who is the best dancer after Chiranjeevi? While some say it is Allu Arjun some will say it is Ram Charan and few say NTR.

Director Puri Jagannath has voted Bunny as the best dancer in the current crop of actors But Sunil’s compliment can be taken really seriously. Because, he is a good dancer himself and if he rates another dancer then there is reality in that! So definitely his judgment can be regarded and valued!

Sunil said that NTR is the best dancer in Tollywood currently. He added that NTR never shows the difficulty of dancing a move in his face and goes out of his way in accepting the most difficult moves as well.  Despite having good relations with Mega family it is good to see Sunil sounding sincere rather than diplomatic. Way to go man!

Sunil’s upcoming movie Bhimavaram Bullodu is a copy story! Even as the movie got censor clearance and waiting for its release there seems many rumors rife about the movie content, one about over dose of double meaning dialogues and two that it is a copied movie!

Sunil seems to be praying hard for his luck with upcoming Bhimavaram Bullodu. His previous movie Mr Pellikoduku was a dud even after he tried hard working for six pack body. The movie is gearing to release on February 14th and it is directed by Kollywood’s Uday Shankar (his first in Telugu being Kalisundam Raa). The director said its not a regular comedy entertainer from Sunil and also told storyline.

A timid young man from Bhimavaram town goes to Hyderabad after knowing he has only 10 days to live. He wants to do what gives him happiness and starts fighting with baddies in the city. But he remains alive after 10 days and will cook plans to save life after that. Did we not see this plot already on Telugu screens? One of the Rajendra prasad's Comedy movie Ali baba Aradajan Dongalu?

Sunil is not happy with certain scenes in Bheemavaram Bullodu?

It seems the release date of Sunil’s ‘Bheemavaram Bullodu’ will be pushed back further. Initially, it was planned for Sankranthi release and later for month end release, but so far no confirmed date has been announced.

As per the inside sources the delay is due to some of the scenes in the movie are being re-shoot. Sunil felt that certain important scenes have not come out well as expected and was not satisfied. Hence, the unit was busy re-shooting the scenes.

After their completion, a fresh release date of the movie will be announced. The film is being produced under prestigious Suresh Productions banner and is directed by Udaya Bhaskar.

Comedian-turned-hero Sunil is one lucky guy and especially after his mind-blowing transformation into a six-pack guy which has given him so much recognition and of course his new avatar has been giving him many roles.

Sunil must have worked really hard to get a chiselled body and this could be one of the main reasons why we heard talks that he is chosen by S S Rajmouli to do a cameo in his upcoming film Baahubali. We are told that Sunil has grabbed a guest appearance in the film although the makers of Baahubali have not yet given a confirmation on this.

Baahubali as we all know is much-talked and much-anticipated film featuring Prabhas, Anushka, Ramya Krishna, Rana Daggubatti, Sudeep, Tamanna, Adivi Sesh and many more prominent names.

One must appreciate Sunil for this transformation and also his choice of roles; the actor is sure going places.

Farhan and Deepika get the Filmfare awards

The 59th Filmfare awards ceremony was a grand affair as usual and Farhan Akthar has bagged the best actor award for his biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra was declared the best director and he also received the award for best film too (Bhaag Milkha Bhaag). In all, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag received the maximum number of awards on the festive Friday night.

Deepika Padukone won the best actress award for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raas Leela Ram Leela. Supriya Pathak won the best supporting actress award for the same film while the best supporting actor award was given to Nawazuddhin Siddiqui for The Lunchbox.

Jeet Ganguly, Ankit Tiwari and Mithoon won the award for rendering soulful music in Ashiqui 2. The best male playback singer award went Arjit Singh for Tum hi ho from Ashiqui 2 and Monali Thakur won the award for the best female playback singer for singing Sawaar loon from the film Lootera.

Actor Dhanush received the best male debut for the film Raanjhana while Vani Kapoor bagged the best female debut for her film Shuddh Desi Romance.

The Filmfare Lifetime Achievement award went to veteran actress Tanuja and the she received the award from Amitabh Bachchan.

The glitzy award ceremony was hosted by Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

Forensic team joining Tollywood film industry

Tollywood film industry is expanding day-by-day. With the increase in technology, the number of teams that are serving Tollywood are increasing. Few years back, Censor Board came into picture. In the past few years, Graphics team too joined the crew of technicians.

Now, Forensic team is joining the band wagon. It seems that few film makers in the recent past morphed the bodies of few heroines keeping their faces. Udaya Bhanu recently stated the same to the media. Responding to her statements, her new film videos were sent to Forensic team to identify whether it is morphed version or original.

In the past 1 year, this kind of incidents increased in Indian film industry. Hence, regional film industries may include a Forensic team along with Censor Board and other teams to check the quality. On one side, it is bad that the few film makers are using unethical methods and at the same time it is good that they are giving new jobs!

According to our reliable sources, Sunil is forcing Rajamouli for a prominent role in his film, but this time Sunil insisting Rajamouli not for hero character, he asking him for villain character. Well we all aware that negative characters in Rajamouli’s films have much important than heroes role and Villian roles gets more response in his films. That’s why Sunil persisting him for negative Shaded roles. Sources also added that Sunil requested Rajamouli to design one negative shade role for him in upcoming film “Baahubali”. 

But, Rajamouli who took this venture as prestigious one, don’t want to disturb the script for sake of Sunil. It is very rare in Tollywood that a heroine who is holding the top throne will do something that is not her cup of tea. But here comes Samantha, if we have to believe reports, has agreed for crooning to a peppy tune.

Actually, Samantha agreed to sing a Telugu song for hero Sunil's upcoming movie 'Bhimavaram Bullodu'. As this hottie is quite fluent in Telugu and good at the language's pronunciation, no doubt she will come up with a good voice. Also if a star heroine like Samantha itself is singing, then it will be huge publicity for Sunil's movie. Because the makers of Bullodu will not keep quiet, and they will use Samantha's singing act's making video for virally promoting the flick for sure.

All in all, this is not just a special vocal rendition by Samantha, but will also be a video song that will help out Sunil. As our comedy hero lost his touch at box office with a flop recently, it looks like he is eyeing perfect publicity for an intense comeback.








Oka Laila Kosam- chaitu

The title of Naga Chaitanya's forthcoming film has been tentatively fixed. Going by reports, the movie is christened as Oka Laila Kosam which was a chart buster song from Akkineni Nageswara Rao's 1980's hit Ramudu Kaadu krishnudu.

Vikram Kumar Konda, who made an impressive debut with Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde, is wielding the megaphone for this film. Tipped to be a youthful romance, Annapurna Studios is producing it. Miss India Universe 2010 second runner up, Pooja Hegde will pair up with Chaitu. Pooja was earlier seen in Jiiva's Mask.

If all goes according to plan, the movie will go onto floors in the second week of December. Will Chaitu live up to the expectations? Will Vikram overcome Dvitheeya Vignam (second hurdle)?






Hansika got full payment before release

After acting in production houses that range from Dil Raju's SVC to Mohan Babu's LP Films, apple pie siren Hansika Motwani has shocked media with her dashing comments. Though she is not to demean any other producer, her remuneration talk simply surprised one and all.

While talking about producer Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green, who produced Karthi-Hansika's latest movie 'Biryani', our seductress revealed some interesting things. 'For the first time in my career I've received full payment of my remuneration much before the film's release', said Hansika. Indirectly, the means that no other producer has given full cheque to her before the movie hits theatres. Generally our producers pay full money to heroes before the release, so it is startling to hear that they are not following the same with heroines

Rule of tinsel towns is that producer pay all the money to all actors and technicians before release itself. Anyway, Hansika is all excited about her producer, and hope her latest release 'Biryani' will also excite her fans in the same way

Sunil want to do as villian

Having started his career as a comedian with films such as “Nuvvu Naaku Nachaav” and “Nuvvu Nenu”, Sunil in the last couple of years had starred in a lead role in “Tadakha” and “Mr. Pellikoduku” which were average hits.

In a recent chit chat with a filmy scribe, he candidly expressed his views about his plans and hopes in the industry.  He said “I always aspired to play a villain in top directors’ films.  I’ve always been a fan of S.S. Rajamouli, and wished to play a villain role in his films instead I am privileged to act in the lead role in his film ‘Maryada Ramanna’.  Even now, I am ready to do a villain role if he offers me the role”.

He said that though he misses full tome comic roles, he is happy with his career doing two films a year as a hero and does not  mind doing few films as long as he is happy with his roles and audiences like his work.  The 39-year old is currently getting ready to star in a mythological drama titled “Bhakta Kannappa”.
