NTR With Raghavendra Rao: Mythological Or Socio?

The first taste of Jr NTR's short performance as 'Yama' in Yamadonga have kept us waiting to see him in a mythological role. But, there was no movie of that sorts so far. However, it's now time for Tarak to accept a mythical role with both hands and make the most of it because it's coming from none other than Darshakendra Raghavendra Rao, the filmmaker who stole many hearts with Annamayya, Sriramadasu and Shiridi Sai.

Sources from Film Nagar tell us that Raghavendra Rao is simultaneously working on a big-budgeted mythological script on the sidelines of 'Om Namo Venkateshaya' shoot. We were also informed that Nandamuri's pride Jr NTR is first choice for the film which may hit floors in two years from now, considering the actors prior commitments. Also, we think that Tarak is unarguably one of the best picks for a mythological or socio fantasy flick and nobody can dispute that as he can effortlessly pull off such roles.

The scale of this under-process project is reportedly very huge with high volume of visual effects. If this materializes, it would mark the first collaboration of Jr NTR with legendary Raghavendra Rao, who also worked with young actors like Nithin, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and Manchu Manoj. Also, let us look forward to how Raghavendra Rao is going to showcase the leading lady in the film and who it would be.

Currently, the director is filming 'Om Namo Venkateshaya', a devotional film based on the life of Hathiram Baba, with Akkineni Nagarjuna, Anushka Shetty and Pragya Jaiswal in lead roles. S Gopal Reddy is the cinematographer and MM Keeravani is scoring audio tunes for the film.

Manchu Manoj is trying hard to stay in the game. To bring back his lost luck, he has signed three films already and is finishing their shoots in no time. One of these films is directed by Satya and was supposed to have Pragya Jaiswal as the leading lady.

When everything was seem to be going fine, Pragya has suddenly backed out of this project and has given last minute tensions to the producers. The film is touted to be a love story and Manoj will play a lover boy.

After the success of Kanche, Pragya did not get the necessary push and has not many films in her kitty. With her now backing away from this project, industry insiders say that she will face a tough time if she keeps repeating such mistakes. 

Manoj: smart answer to his troll

Of late, film stars seem to be in no mood to give in to the bullying ways of their trolls on the internet. First it was Vishakha Singh and Abhishek Bachchan and even our very own Swathi. Latest to join the list is the Rocking Manchu hero, Manoj. Yesterday morning, Manoj retweeted a fan's tweet which congratulated Manoj's sister and actress, Manchu Lakshmi, for winning the Filmfare award for Best Supporting Actor Female.

Soon, one of the cyber bullies tried to be over smart and tagged Manoj and Lakshmi and tweeted, "LOL paid awards". Needless to say, this irked the doting Manchu brother and Manoj replied with composure saying, "Awesome then prove us by buying one :)". This naturally made the bully realize his mistake and quit the conversation.

The recently concluded Filmfare south awards have been under the scanner for some really outlandish choices as the winners and numerous discussions have been carried out by media houses and film lovers. But when the criticism gets personal, no one will be ready to accept it, since keeping calm will only increase the menace.

Since PK is the second venture from the combo Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani after their blockbuster 3 Idiots, naturally expectations are way too hight and the film is this year's most awaited film. PK is finally out in theatres with a thunderous response. 

Adding buzz, the movie received exceptional reviews from all quarters and many calling it as "must-watch". Rajkumar Hirani's directorial prowess and Aamir's stellar performance stand out in the film and this wide-mouth talk is going viral. Manoj should be lauded for taking this initiative

Manchu Manoj and his friends are going to Vishakapatnam to help the cyclone victims. Manoj also postponed the release of his film Current Teega due to Cyclone. He will announce the release date of this film later. Few other producers too are planning to postpone their films as the film business in Uttarandhra region is highly affected due to Hudhud cyclone.

Many film celebrities are trying to raise funds to help the cyclone victims of Vizag area. Manchu Manoj is the first from our heroes to make a move. He also welcomed his fans and others to join him and his friends in helping the cyclone affected people. He will announce about the details of his plan shortly.

Manoj should be lauded for taking this initiative. Let's hope other actors too would join him to get Vizag out of this misery as soon as possible.

He needs a blockbuster to justify his multi-faceted talent

Even though gen x actor Manchu Manoj draws good openings to 3 to 4 crores in first two days for his films like 'Potugadu' and 'Mr.Nookayya', unable to convert them into big hits. 

Apart from hit 'Bindass' and multi-starrers 'Oo Kodatharaa Ulikkipadatara' and 'Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda', the actor individually should breach the 15 crore plus mark with Current Teega, to consolidate his fluctuating market.

With many young actors joining the fray, its high time talented actor Manoj settles down as a bankable star. He composes stunts and dances for his films, so needs a blockbuster to justify his multi-faceted talent. Lets wait and see.

PPT: Pitch-perfect comedy Timing!

Pandavalu Pandavalu Thummeda (PPT), touted as Manchu clan's multi-starrer, has garnered great buzz ever since it hit the floors. The movie marks the comeback of veteran actor Mohan Babu in a lead role, nearly after a decade. It also showcases Manchu Manoj in a never-before-seen role Mohini (draped in a sari). Director Dasari Narayana Rao donned grease paint after a while for a hilarious cameo. All these aspects created enough hype around the film. Let's sneak into the film to see how far they fetched!

Plot: Crisply, the movie is all about Naidu's (Mohan Babu) family and his five "orphan" sons Pandavalu- Vijju (Vishnu), Ajay (Manoj), Varun Sandesh and (Lucky) Tanish. 

Mohan Babu (Naidu) is a foster, doting father to Manoj, Varun Sandesh and Tanish whereas Raveena is foster, caring mother to Vishnu and Vennela Kishore. With a sudden turn of events, both the two single families club to form a large family. Like any other family, it too goes through its rough phase. Yet, they brushes off their differences soon and gets united. Thanks to Honey (Hansika) who played pivotal role in family's union. Hansika has a troublesome background that pushes her into neck-deep difficulties. How Naidu's family steps in to save the girl (Honey)? What are the hurdles that come in between form the film.

Performances: The film's stellar cast-Mohan Babu, Vishnu, Manoj, Raveena Tandon, Hansika, Pranitha- is the big asset for the film. Of course, their pitch-perfect performances carry of the film totally. For Mohan Babu, Vishnu and Manoj essaying these characters is like a piece of cake. Everyone fit the bill and gave their best performances. After a longtime, one could watch Mohan Babu flexing his muscle and doing a jig. Yes, he enthralls us with his trademark acts and dialogue-delivery.

Vishnu is natural at his acting and does his best. One could watch the most stylish Vishnu as a gambler in the film. Vishnu's chemistry with Hansika worked out well and does magic again. Perhaps, it's a record that Vishnu-Hansika scored three hits in a row. 

Manchu Manoj, who showcases myriad variations in his character, deserve a pat on his back. Especially, his lady getup Mohini steals the show. Manoj, who did it with so ease, bags extra brownie points. Pranitha's glam show, Brahmanandam's humour touch are icing on the cake.

Direction: Director Srivas has hit a jackpot with this out-and-out entertainer. With a good star cast , it's a cake walk for Srivas.

Music: Music by Baba Sehgal, Achu and Keeravani is soothing and easy on ears. Lyrics are equally good.

Technical aspects: Songs, scenes shot against picturesque foreign locales (Bangkok) are visual treat.

Analysis:  After Denikaina Ready and Doosukeltha, Manchu Vishnu has clocked a hat-trick hit. The film is totally engaging and funny. Director and writers tactically got the nerve of Telugu audiences- the film tickles your funny bone to the hilt. After all, that's what common audience expect.

If director could have avoided few cliches, minor editing errors and predictable twists, the movie could have become a classic comedy.

On whole, the movie is a breathe of fresh air with right doses of comedy, sentiment, romance, action. But the only disappointment for Manchu fans is they will sure miss Manchu Lakshmi. Wish, director Srivas should have penned a well-conceive role for Lakshmi. 

Bottom line: The film has all the elements to satiate your hunger. Watching PPT (Pandavalu Pandavalu Tummeda) is treating yourself as it gives you a new experience altogether.

Catch the Manchu family's Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda online?!

The Manchu’s latest family extravaganza on-screen Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda is hitting the screens worldwide on the 31st of January. And the filmmakers have decided to release the film online too; the PPT movie will be released online in India, US, Australia and Middle East.

Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda features Mohan Babu, Vishnu and Manchu Manoj who will be seen playing the lead heroes of the film. Mohan Babu plays the role of tourist guide and will be seen romancing Raveena Tandon. The other two heroines of the film are Hansika Motwani and Praneeta.

PPT is heavily publicised as family comedy and it also stars Varun Sandesh and Tanish in pivotal roles. We are told that that PPT was partly shot in the beautiful locales of Thailand and some parts were shot in India.

Jr. NTR has been getting lukewarm results in the recent past. It has been a while since we had seen NTR in complete authority. Young tiger fans are waiting to see NTR taking box office by storm and rewriting history. The actor is also doing his best to fulfill the dreams of thousands of his fans.

NTR has confirmed his next three films after Rabhasa. His immediate film after Rabhasa will be directed by Sukumar. This is a mass movie unlike Sukumar's regular stuff. After that he will be teaming up with Mirchi director Koratala Shiva. Next year NTR will start shooting for VV Vinayak's film.

All these movies will be targeting NTR's strengths and also have loads of entertainment to make them appeal to all sections of audience. NTR almost signed two movie?

Junior NTR is coming up with his future projects meticulously.  His ongoing film ‘Rabasa’, which is onsets, will be completed in due course and is slated for release this summer.  Even before its completion, NTR is seriously planning to sign his next flick. He is showing keen interest in doing two projects.

The first one would be in the direction of Sukumar to be produced by B.V.S.N.Prasad.  The script work for this movie is going on  in brisk pace and after this another project with V.V.Vinayak will be taken up.  NTR strongly hoping that these two films will put him back on track.

Emo Gurram Egara Vachhu release date

After a long gap, Sumanth is coming with his new flick ‘Emo Gurram Egara Vachhu’.  As the title suggests, the movie is going to be an interesting one with comedy being the front runner, which would appeal to all genre of audience. The film has cleared censors with U/A certification and now makers have officially confirmed the release on January 24.

Directed by Chandra Siddhartha, producer Poodhota Sudheer, who is famed for producing clean family entertainers is sure to give the expected break to Sumanth. Thai actress Pinki Savika is playing love lead to Sumanth’s.  M.M.Keeravani has scored the music and script by S.S.Kanchi.

Manchu family’s multi-starrer movie ‘Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda’ is all set for release on 31st of this month. The film consists of heavy cast like Mohan Babu, Vishnu, Manoj, Varun Sandesh and Tanish who are acting as brothers and Ravina Yandon, Hansika, Praneetha are the leading ladies of the movie. Music scored by Keeravani.

The audio release function is being planned for release on 11th January.  If sources are to be believed, the audio function is going to be held at Guntur instead of Hyderabad, for which the reasons are not known yet. Let us wait for the confirmation from the producers.

As per the latest confirmed reports, Manchu Manoj is going to don a lady get up in his upcoming home production film ‘Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda’.  The lady comical character is the highlight of the film and as per the news, Manoj is going to entertain the audience.

This episode is expected to attract audience. Previously, comedy star Naresh attracted audience in lady role. In the recent times, majority of the stars in Tollywood concentrated on mass and class roles leaving this kind of comedy roles. Now, Manoj may bring back that memories to the Tollywood audience.

Manoj is actually playing a Police Officer’s role in the movie, but the reason behind this lady get up is still kept as secret by the production unit.  Shooting has been completed and post productions are going on.  The first look of Manoj was released on the Christmas eve.

Manchu Manoj Tweets about his road accident

Two days back, Manchu Manoj met with a serious accident on the outer ring road of Hyderabad and came out with minor injuries.  Manoj explained the circumstances that led to the incident through twitter “To attend a friend’s marriage, I was travelling in a SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle). Just before our start, my mother got down from my car to another. On outer ring road, I had to take a sudden cut towards my right to avoid a speeding bus and could not notice a dead buffalo lying on the road due to the poor light. After hitting the buffalo, our car made a few somersaults before landing. At once, I became alert , thank God, with his blessings nobody was hurt”. he said.

The surprising fact is before Manoj, two other accidents happened already on the same spot.

The post production works of Mahesh’s most hyped project 1 Nenokkadine have started long back even before the shooting part has not been wrapped up yet. Junior artists have already completed their dubbing and the latest one to start dubbing was Gautam Krishna.

With Mahesh’s son debuting in the movie, the curiosity about the movie has increased manifold and Mahesh fans and movie lovers in general are waiting to catch action of little Gautam Krishna on celluloid doing young Mahesh.

And there is a good news here. The makers have understood pulse of enthusiasts and have planned to release first look of 1 Nenokkadine with Gautam as special attraction on movie audio launch day i.e., December 19th. We hope he will floor us all with his cute acting skills!

They have already raised their pre-release business target to 90 crores and that’s not all, Pawan Kalyan who has always been modest when it came to admitting about his dancing skills has started focusing on his dancing to woo his fans.

That’s true. Pawan who took time to kick start his project after the AD has been taking lot of interest in every department and it is heard that the Power Star is going to come with some really really unique dance moves in the Gabbar Singh sequel.

In fact, Pawan’s fans were thrilled to see the star’s improvement in dancing skills in Gabbar Singh movie and they will be a lot more thrilled to see him in the sequel. With DSP composing music we can just imagine the kind of work that could go into the Power Star’s dancing.

Reason behind Manchu Manoj's accident

Manchu Manoj had a narrow escape yesterday night from a road accident.  He came out with minor injuries in the accident when he was going to Gachibowli from Himayatnagar. The accident occurred while his car trying to avoid dead buffalo lying on the road.

Manoj and his driver were saved as the safety balloons opened at the right time. Both of them were admitted in the Jubilees Hills Apollo Hospital where some minors bruises were observed on his hands and face.  After the first-aid treatment, they were discharged from the hospital. Hearing the news, his father Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnu and Manchu Lakshmi rushed to the hospital.

Next year we are going to see two promising and most awaited debuts from two reputed families of Telugu cinema. Nagarjuna's younger son Akkineni Akhil and Nagababu's son Varun Tej are going to make debut as hero in 2014 for sure. Varun Tej's debut has been finalized and it will be made under Srikanth Addala direction.

What about Akhil? Who is going to launch this young Akkineni hero? We have heard of many names until now and Akhil has quashed all those rumors and said that nothing has been finalized. The latest we heard is that Deva Katta has high chances to direct Akhil's first film. Nagarjuna has a very good impression on Deva and he is pretty pleased with the way he made Autonagar Surya.

If Autonagar Surya is well received by the audience, then Akhil's debut film will be directed by Deva Katta. As per the buzz, Deva has already narrated a single line story to Nagarjuna and he is impressed by it. If everything falls in place then this film will also be produced by Nagarjuna on Annapurna Studios banner.





Manoj impressed by Bruhannala

We have seen Ram doing a gay character in Masala. Despite his efforts Masala failed to impress the audience and his gay act has gone wasted. Now another young hero is going to show the feminine side of his in an upcoming film. Mohan Babu's younger son Manchu Manoj is donning a gay character in Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda.

This character is not exactly gay, but Manoj will appear in a lady getup in this film. He will be seen in various getups in PPT and lady getup is one of them. Manoj says that this character is inspired from Bruhannala's episode in Maha Bharatam. Looks like Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda title has something to do with Maha Bharat.

Manchu family is very excited about this film as they are expecting this film to put an end to their flop show. Most of Manchu movies are being flops or ending up average fare in the recent times. They are in desperate need of a big hit and if PPT turns out to be the film they have been waiting for, it would be even more special for Manchus as every one of them are a part of it.
