PPT: Pitch-perfect comedy Timing!

Pandavalu Pandavalu Thummeda (PPT), touted as Manchu clan's multi-starrer, has garnered great buzz ever since it hit the floors. The movie marks the comeback of veteran actor Mohan Babu in a lead role, nearly after a decade. It also showcases Manchu Manoj in a never-before-seen role Mohini (draped in a sari). Director Dasari Narayana Rao donned grease paint after a while for a hilarious cameo. All these aspects created enough hype around the film. Let's sneak into the film to see how far they fetched!

Plot:
Crisply, the movie is all about Naidu's (Mohan Babu) family and his five "orphan" sons Pandavalu- Vijju (Vishnu), Ajay (Manoj), Varun Sandesh and (Lucky) Tanish.

Mohan Babu (Naidu) is a foster, doting father to Manoj, Varun Sandesh and Tanish whereas Raveena is foster, caring mother to Vishnu and Vennela Kishore. With a sudden turn of events, both the two single families club to form a large family. Like any other family, it too goes through its rough phase. Yet, they brushes off their differences soon and gets united. Thanks to Honey (Hansika) who played pivotal role in family's union. Hansika has a troublesome background that pushes her into neck-deep difficulties. How Naidu's family steps in to save the girl (Honey)? What are the hurdles that come in between form the film.

Performances:
The film's stellar cast-Mohan Babu, Vishnu, Manoj, Raveena Tandon, Hansika, Pranitha- is the big asset for the film. Of course, their pitch-perfect performances carry of the film totally. For Mohan Babu, Vishnu and Manoj essaying these characters is like a piece of cake. Everyone fit the bill and gave their best performances. After a longtime, one could watch Mohan Babu flexing his muscle and doing a jig. Yes, he enthralls us with his trademark acts and dialogue-delivery.

Vishnu
is natural at his acting and does his best. One could watch the most stylish Vishnu as a gambler in the film. Vishnu's chemistry with Hansika worked out well and does magic again. Perhaps, it's a record that Vishnu-Hansika scored three hits in a row.

Manchu Manoj, who showcases myriad variations in his character, deserve a pat on his back. Especially, his lady getup Mohini steals the show. Manoj, who did it with so ease, bags extra brownie points. Pranitha's glam show, Brahmanandam's humour touch are icing on the cake.

Direction:
Director Srivas has hit a jackpot with this out-and-out entertainer. With a good star cast , it's a cake walk for Srivas.

Music:
Music by Baba Sehgal, Achu and Keeravani is soothing and easy on ears. Lyrics are equally good.

Technical aspects:
Songs, scenes shot against picturesque foreign locales (Bangkok) are visual treat.

Thumbs up:

1. Ensemble cast
2. Title
3. Witty dialogues
4. Commercial elements

5. Cinematography
6. Picturesque locales

Thumbs down:

1. Cliches
2. Minor editing errors
3. Predictable twists

Analysis:  After Denikaina Ready and Doosukeltha, Manchu Vishnu has clocked a hat-trick hit. The film is totally engaging and funny. Director and writers tactically got the nerve of Telugu audiences- the film tickles your funny bone to the hilt. After all, that's what common audience expect.

If director could have avoided few cliches, minor editing errors and predictable twists, the movie could have become a classic comedy.

On whole, the movie is a breathe of fresh air with right doses of comedy, sentiment, romance, action. But the only disappointment for Manchu fans is they will sure miss Manchu Lakshmi. Wish, director Srivas should have penned a well-conceive role for Lakshmi.

Bottom line:

The film has all the elements to satiate your hunger. Watching PPT (Pandavalu Pandavalu Tummeda) is treating yourself as it gives you a new experience altogether.

Akhil is not taking any acting job for Manam, Yevadu is very unique and different, Can he success after 12 flops

Akhil is not taking any acting job for Manam

Once and for all, this young chap who wants to debut on silver screen very soon ends up giving clarification not just once but thrice. Though Film Nagar is excited all over with the news of him debuting in a geust role in 'Manam', here comes a party spoiler.

With heroine Samantha tweeting that a special thing happened on 'Manam' sets, most cine lovers confirmed that she might have shared screen with upcoming hero Akhil Akkineni. As 'Manam' happens to be a family entertainer that stars three generation heroes of Akkineni family, the idea of roping Akhil along ANR, Nag and Chaitu became a demand from fans. Surprisingly, a couple of sources from Annapurna Studios revealed to a leading newspaper that Akhil hasn't acted in Manam. Also they confirm that he is not taking any acting job for the flick.

Earlier on two occasions, Akhil himself has condemned rumours of working with a new director once, and with Trivikram later. Looks like, cine lovers are eagerly waiting for the charming boy's debut and hence all these rumours around him

Yevadu is very unique and different

With Yevadu set for release on December 19 as per the makers, we can shift our focus on to this film as it would be the next biggie to hit the marquee. There won't be any big releases in Telugu for at least four weeks from now. That should be a blessing in disguise for Yevadu as the drought would help the film to fetch huge openings.

Reports for this film have been encouraging. The buzz around Yevadu has always been good ever since the movie was ready for release. However, due to unavoidable circumstances, Yevadu release has been delayed and finally it is making to theaters on December 19th as of now. The story of this film is very unique and different from the regular stuff, sources say.

There will be many twists and turns in the film and the particular twist involving Allu Arjun's character that comes in the second half will blow you away! Inside reports on Yevadu are too good and the makers are pretty confident about the success of the film. They believe that this film will be huge blockbuster even if it is delayed for more than a year. Well, seems like festival is coming up for mega fans sooner than expected.

Can he success after 12 flops

Except for superstars no other heroes could sustain in the film industry with a series of flops. Especially heroes with no backing and filmy background cannot afford to have many flops. We have seen many talented heroes fading away with a streak of flops. But Varun Sandesh seems to be pretty lucky in this aspect.

Despite having twelve flops in a row, Varun Sandesh still have few films on his hand. However, he can't take it lightly anymore as he is not getting any lucrative offers now. He needs to bag a hit or two to be in business. Can he bounce back after delivering dozen flops? Recently Nitin did that impossible feat and he is busy bee again.

Varun Sandesh's next is D for Dopidi, which is making good buzz among the industry circles. Hero Nani bought good stake in this film and Dil Raju came forward to release it. Varun Sandesh is one among the other heroes in this film, but a hit will be a hit. So it is high time that he hits the bull's eye. Varun has to break this flop streak as early as possible.

Varun's New Company, Ram says he was reluctant to play this character

Varun's New Company

Here comes busiest young hero Varun Sandesh who delivers movie after movie irrespective of the fate those flicks meet at box office. The actor is pretty excited about his latest company and here goes the story.

His latest company and companion happens to be a BMW 5 series sedan he purchased the other day at a show room in Khairatabad. The actor is pretty excited after owning the car, which he personally collected from BWW showroom along with his mother Ramani. Also he got a special pooja done for the vehicle at a popular Lord Hanuman temple in Khairatabad junction before taking it for the first ride. 'More than the destination we reach, it is the company that is important', says Varun Sandesh, highlighting the arrival of this luxury car into his kitty.

But when many of his contemporaries are ending up with Range Rovers and Mercedes Benz two seater vehicles, one wonders what prompted Varun Sandesh to buy a regular model sedan vehicle. Maybe he might have felt that old is gold and also it is reliable.

Ram says he was reluctant to play this character

Hero Ram, who is known for high energy levels, has good following among the masses as well as families. He is one of the few young heroes who have a market of over Rs. 20 crore. After a successful Kandireega, Ram failed to be consistent as his next two films tanked at the box office. After the failures of Endukante Premanta and Ongole Gitta, Ram is trying his hand at mass comedy, Masala.

This film is a remake of Bol Bachchan and Venkatesh is teamed up with Ram for the first time. As per the story, Ram will be doing a gay character in Masala. Accepting such character needs so many guts especially for an actor like Ram who has many fans. Ram says he was reluctant to play this character at the beginning.

Ram gave it a thought for few days before giving the positive nod. He took it as a challenge and did the gay character and is hoping that it will be received well by all sections of audience. 'I just act as a gay due to some unavoidable circumstances and in that process so much comedy is generated. We are confident that this character will click with the audience,' Ram said. Masala will hit the marquee on 14th of November.
