Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly agreed to compensate to the distributors who had lost exorbitant sums on his latest release 'Tubelight'.

Rs 100 crore collections at box office may be a benchmark for ninety percent of films made in Bollywood but for a Salman Khan starrer, the benchmark goes up to Rs 270-300 crore. Buyers of Salman's 'Tubelight' were in utter shock after the film almost ended its theatrical run by raking in a mere Rs 115 crore approx. Applying the statistics, that's a huge loss. 

Empathized with the agony of his film's buyers, Salman has reportedly offered Rs 55 crore compensation to them. Distributors are extremely happy with the actor's kind gesture. This is the first flop for Salman in years.

The box office behemoth will be next seen in 'Tiger Zinda Hai', a sequel to his blockbuster film 'Ek Tha Tiger'. Fans love Salman in action mode and this film is expected to satiate their hunger. Also starring Katrina Kaif, Tiger Zinda Hai will hit screens for Christmas this year.

Apparently, a script that's relying on wafer thin storyline needs some stellar performance and directorial brilliance. But now it looks like the clashes between Salman and director Kabir Khan have taken a toll on the narrative. Also, Salman himself is said to have shot some scenes and edited the film too. 

At the same time, Salman didn't invite the film's leading lady or any other big actor to promote the movie. He himself appeared at major promotional events, while he neglected 50% of the promotional plan. Salman would have felt that an Eid-weekend would help him like earlier, but that didn't work out. Definitely, Salman Khan's ego is what hurt his own film.

Kabir Khan, director of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger and Bhajrangi Bhaijaan, continues to plan two more films with the actor. While Tubelight is currently in the making, the duo plans to team up for an other historic movie, on the sidelines of Tiger Zinda Hai which was announced on Eid.

The victory of 1983 cricket World Cup is unarguably considered one of the inspiring moments for entire India. With a view to bring those fascinating moments onto big screen, Salman planned a film with filmmaker Sooraj Bartajya who earlier worked with the superstar for Maine Pyaar Kiya. But, things didn't work out between them. So, Salman had to finally rely on his long time faithful friend Kabir Khan.

In India, biopics on cricketers, veteran actors & movies on real-time incidents have become highly intriguing and also conventional. Apparently, the film based on 1983 World Cup with Salman Khan in the lead, would delight his fans and draws many eyeballs.

Reportedly, the yet-to-titled historic film will hit floors later this year after Salman finishes off Tubelight. Also, the duo have to confirm which will hit screens first- either Tiger Zinda Hai or a film on World Cup victory.

Salman As a 70 Year Old in his Sequel

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and his former girlfriend Katrina Kaif are collaborating for a new film is a sequel to their 2012 super hit movie Ek Tha Tiger.

As per reports, Salman's character in the film ages from 17 to 70. He will play India's top spy and an officer of the Research & Analysis Wing (RAW), wherein Katrina Kaif will be seen as Pakistan spy in the film titled Tiger Zinda Hai (Tiger Is Still Alive). 

While the original was directed by Kabir Khan, Ali Abbas Zafar who delivered a super hit Sultan with Salman is helming the sequel.

The director also revealed plot of the film through first look poster. An Indian agent and a Pakistan spy together will fight against a common enemy. This movie which hasn't hit the floors will be released for Christmas, 2017.

The big announcement came from Yash Raj Production as a special treat for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif fans on Eid and gave them a reason to celebrate once again.

Currently, Salman Khan is shooting for his upcoming film Tubelight in Manali. The film that marks third collaboration between Salman Khan and director Kabir Khan will see theaters for Eid, 2017.

Salman's gesture of appreciation for our Olympic athletes

118 Indian athletes are taking part in the ongoing Olympics in Rio, Brazil. These athletes who have toiled for years to win an Olympic medal are carrying the pride and hopes of 130 crore plus Indians.

Amidst criticism that Indian government and Indian sports authorities have been grossly neglecting the poor state of affairs in Indian sports thereby not encouraging our athletes, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has come up with a noble offer.

Yesterday, Salman took to his Twitter page and tweeted "As a gesture of appreciation for our Olympic athletes, I will present each one with a cheque of Rs 1,01,000." Incidentally, Salman played the role of a wrestler who wins an Olympic medal in his biggest blockbuster, Sultan.

The 'Sultan' of Bollywood went on to say "The government is very supportive of sports . Each of us can also do our bit to encourage a sports nation". Salman's latest announcement is part of his association with the Olympic Gold Quest which is aiming to polish young athletes into future Olympic medalists. 

Super Star want to work with PC Director?

Director Tharun Bhasker has become the most wanted director in Tollywood with his debut directorial movie Pelli Choopulu turning out to be a super hit. Entire Telugu industry heaped praises on Bhasker for making a simple yet entertaining movie. Young hero Akhil publicly requested Tharun to make a film with him.

Latest admirer for Tharun Bhasker is Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' star had watched Pelli Choopulu recently and he expressed his wish to remake the film in Hindi under his production house. 

Salman Khan even requested Tharun Bhasker to helm the Hindi version too. Nonetheless, Tharun is yet to make his decision on this, since it needs around a year time to work on the same subject.

Usually, none refuses when a superstar like Salman Khan gives a chance. But, Tharun Bhasker who is currently enjoying the success has other commitments to fulfill. So, he may decide on remaking Pelli Choopulu in Hindi only after completing his prior obligations.

Currently, Tharun Bhasker is penning a script for a film to be produced by Suresh Babu. 

Salman's "Tiger Zinda Hai"

Box office behemoth Salman Khan, whose latest release 'Sultan' broke several records by crossing the Rs 300 crore mark at box office, has set up an interesting line up of films.

Salman's next movie titled 'Tubelight' has already rolled in Ladakh. Now, Yashraj Films, the prestigious banner that produced Salman's recent hit 'Sultan', has confirmed another film with him. Tentatively titled "Tiger Zinda Hai", the big budget project is a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster "Ek Tha Tiger" starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.

While the first one was directed by Kabir Khan, "Tiger Zinda Hai" will be directed by Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar. Kabir Khan has already given his nod for his replacement. It is not yet revealed if Katrina Kaif will be retained in the sequel or not. Yash Raj Films is currently eyeing Eid 2018 release for 'Tiger Zinda Hai'.

Salman's immediate next release, Tubelight, is scheduled to hit the screens for Eid 2017. The film marks the third collaboration between Kabir Khan and Salman who have delivered blockbusters like Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. 

Salman Khan to watch Pelli Choopulu

Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan is going to catch the special screening of superhit Telugu film Pelli Choopulu. Producer Suresh Babu, who released the film in Telugu, is apparently going to arrange the special screening of the film for Salman shortly. Hearing the reports, reviews, Salman too reportedly evinced interest in watching the film. However, the Telugu producers are waiting for Salman's free time to screen the movie.

Considering that Salman Khan has good bond with Daggubati family and is a very close friend of Venkatesh, and even visited Daggubati brothers' house in Hyderabad a couple of times, Suresh said to have smartly made this move to rope in Salman for the film's Hindi remake. While it's too early to say whether Salman would be part of Hindi remake or would he just produce the film, but Salman watching the film would definitely take the film to the next level and create buzz in Bollywood market for the film's Hindi remake rights.

Made in a shoe-string budget, the film turned out to be sleeper hit of this year and reaping profits to producers, buyers. In US alone the film has made 0.5 million dollars so far. 

Will Kriti balance both Khan's ?

After all she has done two Telugu films by the time her Bollywood entry has happened and our audiences feel her close to heart before calling her as a Telugu heroine. She is none other than Delhi beauty Kriti Sanon who is right now shaking her legs with a handsome hero in Bulgaria.

Kriti admits that she doesn't want to leave Telugu films even if she bags a chunk of Bollywood projects. True to that, she has done Dochay with Chaitu even after her Heropanti with Tiger Shroff turned successful and she signed 'Dilwale' opposite Varun Dhawan, the film that also consists of Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. Shooting of this film is going on in Bulgaria, where the songs are being canned. Apart from this film, this hot lady is in a tough situation now where she has to fight on behalf of two Khans on same day, in case if opportunity blesses her.

Our hot and tall 1-Nenokkadine girl is the primary choice of Salman Khan's 'Sultan' that is set for Eid 2016 release. After seeing the spark in her work on Dilwale, even Shahrukh is said to be showing massive interest to cast her in 'Raees'. Surprisingly this SRK starrer is also set for release on the same day 'Sultan' hits cinemas.

Salman Khan has once again showed his kind side

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's softer side towards humanitarian causes and charity work is nothing new. Now, the actor has once again showed his kind side which is an unprecedented action by a Bollywood star. Apparently, Salman Khan provided the people of the Kashmiri village Pahalgam with TV sets.

Couple of months ago, Salman was in several scenic villages of Kashmir, where he shot for his upcoming film Bajrangi Bhaijaan. During the shoot, Salman mingled with the locals quite enthusiastically and melted down when he came to know that several of the poor villagers didn't even have a TV set at home.

Moved by this, the Being Human star immediately ordered his team to purchase and install new TV sets in the homes of all villagers those without a TV at home. Salman's staff is currently busy providing the villagers with TVs and they have already equipped majority of the villagers' homes with brand new TV sets. Apart from this gesture, Salman was also in deep praises for the exotic scenic beauty of the Kashmir valley. 

Odds against "Baahubali"

Dramatising every single scene with his mind blowing imaginative power is what Rajamouli specialised at. For that reason, even a simple story would look hair rising when narrated by this creative director. An interesting talk is happening in film nagar around this director's latest project now.

On July 10th Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' will be releasing across globe, while a week later on July 17th Salman Khan's 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' is hitting cinemas. It's well known by now that Vijayendra Prasad has provided original story and screenplay for Salman's movie. Going by the trailer, we could read blockbuster on the way for Salman this Eid but here's where we have to talk about 'Baahubali'.

If Vijayendra Prasad's Bajrangi story creates hefty impact, then it will be his son's Baahubali that has to take pain at box office. With just a week of buffer for Baahubali to face Salman storm, it looks like Rajamouli has to fight with his own father's work to stay in race at pan-Indian ticket counters where Hindi version of this epic war film is being screened. With crores involved into the production of Baahubali, success at Tollywood box office isn't enough for makers to breathe a relief. Even Hindi and Tamil versions should score a brownie.

Coming to Kollywood, we're hearing that Danush's Maari and Simbu's Vaalu are coming on July 17th, packing Baahubali from both sides. In Telugu, Rajamouli could mint millions for many weeks but Tamil and Hindi circuits left him with short time.

After Mahesh it's Salman Khan

Few weeks back, B-twon star Salman Khan claimed that he has changed his work out regimen and also enjoying a new diet and revealed that, he is also consuming "Quina" to satiate his hunger. Actually, it was the only diet for superstar Mahesh Babu in 2013, when he totally relied on this magic powder for his lean and mean look in Nenokadine'. Under the guidance of trainer Kris Gethin, the Dhookudu star used to have 1/4 kg of Quina as breakfast and lunch and some times dinner too to keep himself fit and trim.

He even gave up usual diet like rotiis, rice and even biryani and just lived on this magic powder and showed his commitment for fitness. Even though its costly for a common man since 1 kg of quina works around Rs.3000 per day  but for big stars like Salman and Mahesh its just peanuts, but we should appreciate their efforts to encourage young generation about the importance of health and fitness, through their lifestyles

If Bollywood actors don’t get good stories they are not hunting for writers in their land but coming to Tollywood and looking.

There is little doubt about the story writer that Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad is. Because most of his stories were picturized by Jakkanna and they are super hits. Rajamouli’s Baahubali story was also penned by his father! But now his stories have more takers it looks like!

Bollywood super star Khan Salman was impressed at a story line narrated by Vijayendra Prasad that buzz says Salman gave his nod to the writer.

It is indeed a proud moment for the Telugu writers. A script written by Telugu story writer getting nod is a rare distinction. So will remakes become a passe and the Bollywood heroes start chasing our writers? Its possible, see!

With ‘1-Nenokkadine’ completed its shooting and ready for release during Sankranthi, Prince Mahesh Babu is busy with his next flick ‘Aagadu’ under the direction of Srinu Vytla.

Latest reports says that Mahesh has given his green signal for another movie to be directed by Bollywood director-duo Raj Nidamoru, Krishna DK (Raj-DK).

Star producer Ashwini Dutt is producing the film under his banner Vyjayanthi Movies who have earlier did two films with Prince ‘Rakumarudu’ and Sainikudu. The last one is flop, hope at least this time they will bag a hit. The script is ready and the shooting begins in April, 2014.

Trisha to decreased her remuneration!

Smiling sensation Trisha Krishnan recently reduced her remuneration for a Kannada flick and this aspect turned out to be a sensation in South India. Till now, almost all the top heroines didn’t attempt to reduce their remuneration below 50 lakhs.

“Why Trisha reduced her remuneration to 20 lakhs?” turned out to be the hot topic. The reason for this act is that the actress Trisha Krishnan is working on the remake verison of Tollywood’ s super hit venture “Dookudu”. It is a known fact that Samantha’s popularity got almost doubled due to this flick.

That this is a copy paste version of a Hollywood movie ‘Pay It Forward.’ In fact Murugadoss has shot to fame with Gajini and even that movie is known to be a copy-paste version of  Hollywood movie Memento. So this what is the secret behind southern creative director. Are our directors so intellectually bankrupt that they want to copy (and not give due credits to original) some one’s ideas?

It seems that B-town star Salman Khan has lost his judgement in selecting remake scripts. Just recently, the famed actor watched Telugu hit 'Atharintiki Dharedi' at a special screening after getting to know that it was record-breaking success and took time off from his busy schedule to watch the family entertainer and even thought of producing it, if everything fell in place. However, he liked certain portions of the film and wasn't impressed with some portions, so after giving a deep thought, he reportedly declined to do its remake, since he was not sure about its 'wafer-thin' plot doing well across pan-India. 

'We didn't have any screening for Salman Khan, these rumours are false' says source in production house. Nevertheless, producer Bogavali Prasad, who be a disappointed man since he lost Rs. 1.5 crores to Rs. 2 crores for Hindi remake rights and now looking to screen his money-spinner to few other B-town stars. What's surprising and even shocking is- Salman not finding the story line of AD exciting enough, particularly after choosing to do the remake of nondescript and whacky Telugu film like Kick, since AD stands far ahead in comparison, which very few would dispute. Even before, Salman Khan lost a good opportunity to do the remake of comic-caper 'Dhookudu' and even thought of jointly producing it with Mahesh Babu, but later, dropped out, claiming the he didn't want to play a 'cop again' closer to Dabbang series. 

The handsome actor definitely had good reason for not doing 'Dhookudu' but missing out on AD, would cost him dearly, since the fun-filled family entertainer, could be picked up by his rivals like Akshay or Ajay, since humour sells even in B-town and Chennai Express is best example in the recent past, that good entertainer, with a simple plot, does work wonders.  Hope Salman doesn't regret his decision, later on.

Usually, Tollywood follows Bollywood. Any new technology or even marketing strategies they are the first and we are their followers. Mahesh has changed it.

With his 1 Nenokkadine movie audio launch happening in a unique way (first time in the Indian cinema) wherein audio launch will be live streamed to theaters and fans can watch it live from their places, Salman Khan too wants to emulate the trend for his next movie Jai Ho (Hindi remake of Stalin).

Jai Ho director, Sohail Khan, Salman’s brother too has appreciated the idea and wanted to go ahead following the new trend. If Mahesh movie costed 250 rupees you can expect Salman to charge somewhere in the 500 range for his movie considering he is the baadshah of Bollywood Box Office. Jai Ho is progressing with its shooting and is scheduled to release on January 24th.

One is not enough for Legend

The Nandamuri’s second generation man, Balayya may not have entered into mainstream politics yet, but when it comes to his movies they are totally in zoom and continuing the trend, his upcoming next Legend has been creating waves from the day it started to roll in.

First it was about the heroine/s and then it was about the customized super bike and then a weapon that Balayya would be using and then currently its about the item songs and item bombshells the movie will be having.

That’s right, people Legend will have more than one item songs. Boyapati Srini has come up with two item songs idea to woo fans and the audience. And with Devi Sri Prasad who is undeniably item songs specialist composer we know how explosive the songs can be to our ears. And we need to wait and see how impressive the songs will be picturized. If reports are anything to go by, then Balayya will do in both the songs and we need to see how much energy he can pump into these!

Harish shankar met Shahrukh Khan

In the industry, Harish Shankar is known as a person who speaks out from his heart and never mind saying things on face even if that invites trouble.  After a blockbuster hit ‘Gabbar Singh’, Harish talk was different with the flop of recently released NTR’s ‘Ramayya Vastavayya’.  This fluctuating attitude depending upon the outcome of his films may cause some harm.

After a long gap, he is in the media reports for posting a photo of Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan alongside with him in the twitter.  Seeing this, people came to a conclusion that he is entering Bollywood. He did the same act with Pawan Kalyan during the shoot of Gabbar Singh and with NTR for Ramayya Vastavayya and praised them sky high.

The fact is that King Khan visited Ramoji Film City for some shooting. Hearing the news, both Dil Raju and Hairsh went there to meet him and posed for a picture with him. But, cine folks feel that if RV had been a hit, one would never expect this sort of act from Harish.  Perhaps, after Pawan and NTR, it is now the turn of King Khan to come under the radar of Harish. Now, the same combination is coming with a fantastic item song in their latest sensation ‘One’ with Mahesh Babu slated for Sankranti release.

Music magician, DSP composed a peppy number, which suits the body language of Mahesh, is being shoot in Mumbai on Prince along with Bollywood model Sophia Choudhury under Prem Rakshit choreography.  Buzz is that the item song is sure to rock the fans of Mahesh.

Ileana with Salman Khan!!!

At least one Southern heroine is being recognized by Bollywood.  She is none other than Ileana.  Offers are coming her way ever since she got recognition for her role in ‘Barfi’.  Illy baby hour glass figure and captivating looks are the plus point to capture the offers posing competition to star Bollywood.heroines.

Currently, Ileana is doing ‘Happy Ending’, ‘Mein tera hero’ and few other movies are in the pipeline.  Grapevine is that she got an opportunity as a heroine opposite Salman Khan in a film to be directed by king of family entertainers, Sooraj Bharjatya. Initially, Kareena Kapoor was contacted for the role but due to some problem in date adjustments, the same has not been materialized and the offer came searching for Ileana. But, to that affect, no official announcement has come from the producers or director. If at all, this is going to be true certainly, it will be a big turning point in Ileana’s career.
