Huge investment on Karthi?

Top producer PVP is known for making high budget films. The passion for cinema seem to be not letting PVP shy from spending lavishly on new films even though he had faced harsh results in the past.

The first look of Karthi's 'Kashmora' has been unveiled and no doubt it was attention seeking. It is heard that 'Kashmora' is being made on a mammoth budget of Rs 60 Cr in Telugu and Tamil, needless to say that the high budget film is being produced by PVP Cinema. Isn't PVP cinema taking a big risk by investing 60 Cr on an experimental supernatural thriller?

Here is brief history of PVP's ventures: High budget ventures like Rajpattai, Varna, Size Zero and Brahmotsavam were outright disasters. Balupu and Oopiri were successful but remained cost failures owing to the high budget involved.

Trade analysts opine that even if 'Kashmora' gets positive talk, Karthi can't command Rs 60 Cr business. So, if PVP gets lucky, it will bag yet another cost failure film or Kashmora will be another Brahmotsavan for the top production house.

First Look: Karthi in ?

Karthi too is a versatile actor like his brother Suriya. It really takes a minute for us to find if it is Karthi or someone else when we have to look at his latest poster of Kashmora.

Karthi's Kashmora first look poster is out and the actor appears as a gruesome warlord. Though there is not much similarity, he reminded of Kalakeya with a staff pole weapon in hand, for a glance.

Feel the contrast in his attire and body language, when we remind you about his wastrel role in his last film Oopiri. That's Karthi's Kashmora look for now and stick to this space for more details soon.

Surprise: Anushka In Oopiri!

Nagarjuna's forthcoming film Oopiri has a surprise element. Well, it's nothing but Anushka Shetty's cameo presence. Anushka will be seen in a guest role in the film. When asked about it, Nagarjuna corroborated, "Yes, Anushka is there in the film. It's a small appearance."

However, this is not first-time Anushka is doing cameo in Nag's film. She's recently seen in Soggade Chinni Nayana. She also did in the past in films like King. Compensating it, Nagarjuna too turned up in Anushka's Size Zero. The duo acted in films like Damarukam, Don, Super and share good bond.

As Soggade is biggest hit ever in Nag's career, makers of Oopiri are hoping that the duo would recreate similar magic this time around. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, Nagarjuna is seen in an experimental role of quadriplegic. Touted to be remake of French film The Intouchables, the film stars Karthi and Tamannah. The Telugu-Tamil bilingual is all set for release on March 25 in both Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. Let's wait and see.

Clean U certificate for "Oopiri"

PVP Cinema’s Oopiri has completed the censor formalities today. The censor board has issued a clean U certificate.

Directed by Vamshi Paidipalli, Oopiri is an emotional celebration of life focusing on the relationship between a physically challenged billionaire and socially challenged slumdog.

After enthralling audiences with his humour and emotion in Manam, romance and charm in Soggade Chinni Nayana, Nagarjuna portrays a totally different and challenging wheel chair bound character in Oopiri. The hit combination of Awaara Karthi and Tamannah pair up together again.

By completing the censor process early, PVP Cinema has ensured that there is sufficient time to plan a Global release on the 25th and the hard drives for overseas are getting ready to be dispatched.

Oopiri has generated massive craze within the industry as well as the general public due to its innovative theme and unique casting. Huge amount for Oopiri distribution rights,in 2 regions?

Now that the release date is nearing soon, the pre-release business for Nagarjuna’s Oopiri is doing wonders. Sources close to us reveal that the distribution rights of both the Krishna and Guntur regions have been sold for a whopping 5 crores.

The above said amount is quite huge considering the star cast and reach of the film. The film needs to get an instant hit talk for the buyers to be on a safe ground. Meanwhile, PVP Cinema, is quite confident that the film will hit the bulls eye and entertain the audience big time.

Nagaruna is on a all time high after the success of Soggade and this might help the film to see some good openings at the box office. Oopiri is up for release on the 25th of this month in both Telugu and Tamil simultaneously.

Vamsi Thanks Karthi!

It is a known fact that Oopiri is a bilingual which was shot both in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. The buzz for the Tamil version is also pretty good and director Vamsi Paidipalli thanks the film’s main lead Karthi, for helping him out.

Going into details, as Vamsi didn’t knew the language much, he had to take a lot of help from Karthi. Speaking about the same, Vamsi reveals that it was because of Karthi’s constant support throughout the film, he managed to direct the Tamil version well.

Oopiri is in its post production stages and has been creating a good buzz with its trailers and audio. The chemistry between Karthi and Tamannah is also said to be yet another highlight of the film which is up for an March 25th release.

Oopiri crosses a milestone

Released amid huge expectations and positive buzz, the theatrical trailer of Nagarjuna and Karthi’s bilingual multistarrer, Oopiri, has impressed everyone and has just surpassed a milestone. The film’s Telugu version’s trailer crossed the 1 million views mark on YouTube in less than 5 days.

Oopiri is a faithful remake of the superhit French film, The Intouchables. The film ended up as France’s second highest grossing film ever during its theatrical release in 2011. The Telugu version also stars Tamannaah and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.

Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, Oopiri is produced by PVP Cinema. The film is all set to hit the screens on March 25th.

Young heroes to take on Oopiri?

Nagarjuna has been in red hot form lately with 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' turning out to be one of the biggest hits ever. His upcoming film 'Oopiri' in which he plays a challenging character of a paraplegic is already making very good buzz with beautiful promos. 'Oopiri' is slated for release on March 25 as the makers are trying to cash in on the Good Friday.

Despite the release of 'Oopiri' a couple more small films are also going to release during the same weekend. Sandeep Kishan's 'Run' and Nara Rohith's 'Savitri' are going to clash with 'Oopiri'. This film has an ensemble star cast that includes Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamanna. It is made on a very high budget of Rs. 60 crores and will have a simultaneous release in Tamil.

'Run' and 'Savitri' makers are completely aware of these facts and also know that Nagarjuna is in the form of his life at the moment. However they are willing to take on 'Oopiri' as they have seen 'Express Raja' and 'Nannaku Prematho' doing well even after competing with blockbuster 'Soggade Chinni Nayana'. Good Friday ain't Pongal to have space for three films though. It is interesting to see which of these promising small films sustain in this big clash.

Nag is busy

Akkineni Nagarjuna has been busy shooting for his back to back projects under the debutant Kalyan Krishna and Vamshi Paidipally’s direction for the past few months. Already, his film with Kalyan, Soggade Chinni Nayana, finished a major portion of its talkie part and the next schedule will commence from 26th June in Hyderabad.

On the other hand, Nag’s multistarrer film with Karthi and Tamannaah in Vamshi’s direction will again go on floors after a brief gap from 10th July. In Soggade Chinni Nayana, Nag will be seen in dual roles and in Vamshi’s film, he is rumored to be playing a shockingly never seen before role. More details about this role will be revealed soon.

Top heroes to romance single heroine?

We are all aware that Nagarjuna and Karthi are teaming for an upcoming multi-starrer film. The latest buzz is that this film will have only one heroine and currently the unit is busy in search of a suitable lady for this film.

Vamsi Paidipally, who previously directed Munna, Brundavanam and Yevadu is set to helm this project which is currently in its pre-production stage. Renowned production house, PVP will be producing this multi-statter in both Telugu and Tamil simultaneously.

NTR replaced by Top Tamil Hero

Well, this sounds like a pure shock as the exit of Young Tiger led to a sensational combination to be weaved for Telugu cinema screen. From a long time, director Vamsi Paidipally is trying to make ends meet such that a never seen before combination like NTR and Nagarjuna will be joining hands for a flick. In no angle, that materialized.

As Nagarjuna suggested heavy changes in the script, Jr NTR has finally walked out of it hinting that such a story will dent his image a lot. A visibly shocked Vamsi Paidipally has no options left other than changing the script for NTR or replacing NTR with someone else. Sources revealed that young Tamil hero Karthi who is trying to debut in a straight Telugu movie from a long time has given nod for the project. Given that Karthi has a different kind of craze compared to NTR in Tollywood, even Nag doesn't mind some changes in his character. That's a stunning news for today, let us see how far it holds good.

Biriyani Movie Review

Biriyani Movie Review

Cast: Karthi , Hansika , Premji Ameran , Ramky , Nasser and others
Directed by : Venkat Prabhu
Produced by : K. E. Gnanavel Raja
Banner :Studio Green
Music by : Yuvan Shankar Raja
Release Date : 2013-12-20

Biryani-Story:

Movie about a Corinthian Sudheer (Karthi) and his best friend clean-handed Parushuram (Premgi Amaran) who work for Mahindra company. Sudheer always likes what Parushuram admires and loves. That’s how he falls in love with Priyanka (Hansika Motwani). But things around when one night stand goes pear shaped when young woman, Maaya, accepts a lift home from Sudheer and Parushuram. After one-night-stand they wake up with their lives in complete in highlights. They end up with a murdered body, they don’t understand what happened to Maaya (Mandy Takhar)? CBI investigator Riyaz Ali (Sampath) in the meanwhile understands the seriousness of the issue and gets along the kidnap case of Varadharajulu (Nassar) a powerful corrupt politician. Things slowly reveal and take a completely unexpected turn in the end.

Biriyani - Star Performance:

The performances in the film are a mixed bag. Karthi played a playboy character. He is tailor made for this role. Hansika Motwani brings fresh faced innocence in the first half later brings unbridled confidence in the second half of the film. She has limited to a under developed characterization. Premgi Amaren is good in some scenes, but appears fake in others. Mandi Takhar is magnificent and gets ample scope to shine in a film that doesn't entirely belong to her. Nassar is okay in his small role as Politician. Madhumathi has got a neat role. Sampath is stiff in his role as a CBI officer Riyaz.

Biriyani - Techinical Team:

The main storyline of the film is a sort of inspired from Hangover but the way Venkat Prabhu developed the movie must be appreciated. Biryani deals MURDER MYSTERY, Venkat Prabhu added his mark parallel dark comedy and action episode. Excessive effort to add comedy has diluted the seriousness of the film. There are quite a few loopholes in the narration of the film. Director tried making romantic thriller with feel good texture, but he could not inject the soul to the characters. The much needed climax twist could have been handled better. Dialogues in the film by Shashank Vennelakanti are routine.
The movie also marks an important milestone for Yuvan Shankar Raja as it is his 100th film. Music by Yuvan is effective, but none of the songs stay with you and seem to have been placed in the film merely as fillers. Background Score supports the scenes. Cinematography by Sakthi Saravanan is good. The frames are rich and colorful. Editing by Praveen K. L & N. B. Srikanth could have been crispier. The major suspense get mixed up with alternate episodes. Production values of Studio Green is praise worthy.

Biriyani - Analysis:
The essence of the movie which is reflected in the one night stand, Sister sentiment and investigation fails to penetrate deep in the minds of the viewer’s mainly because director Venkat Prabhu’s narration lacks seriousness. It is a perfect example to show how bad direction can change dynamics of a film and turn it upside down.
The visually rich Biryani fails to make an impact because it lacks the necessary punch in its screenplay. The problem with Biryani is that it doesn't capitalize on the premise it is built on. Instead, it steers away to produce yet another cheesy entertainer. I thought the first fifteen minutes of the film were entertaining, made audiences laugh and interested, but what followed after that was downright boring and proof of bad writing. Feel sorry for Karthi whose efforts seems to have gone the drain.

Who is behind ONE marketing strategies, Karthik revealed Biryani story

Who is behind ONE marketing strategies

For the first time in Tollywood everything is going as per a plan, rather fans themselves creating all the buzz. Here we have set of functions when it comes to big movies and their promotion, but nothing beyond that. However things are quite different for Superstar Mahesh. This is regarding the promotions his upcoming flick '1 Nenokkadine'. Check this out.

Already, initial teasers have brought lot of attention to '1 Nenokkadine' and the leaked stills of the flick created much more curiosity. Then the idea of airing audio function live in theatres created a rage for the kind of thought. It is then followed by the plan to distribute merchandise including t-shirts, caps, key chains, stickers and badges along with the audio-CD for those who buy tickets to watch audio function live. Now, just three days before music launch on December 19th, a micro-teaser is released and that brought much more attention. Many say that the presence of EROS entertainment as the wholesale buyer of '1 Nenokkadine' is responsible for this unique marketing plan.

Generally in Bollywood, makers allot big budgets for promotion irrespective of the star of that flick. Looks like, EROS is making their counterparts of '1 Nenokkadine' do the same thing here such that their investment of 72 crores will be in safer avenues and earn them huge profits. For now these marketing plans delivered by the B-town giant are making Mahesh hold crown, and little support from content created by Sukumar will make him win 2014 Sankranthi race.

Karthik revealed Biryani story

Already our apple pie siren Hansika is in a live-in relationship with our hero. One day when she opened her flat doors with a second key as they are locked from inside, she caught him red-handedly, romancing with a girl in the toilet. Yes, this is the story doing rounds in Chennai circles. Check this story.

Usually hero and heroine introduction scenes are quite interesting in any commercial movie and they are standalone from the actual story. But when it comes to upcoming release 'Biryani' featuring Karthi and Hansika, it will be typical. In the initial scene itself Hansika catches her boyfriend Karthi with another girl in the toilet, and that leads to breakup. That's where the movie actually starts. Sharing his thoughts about 'Biryani', actor Karthi revealed this interesting titbit to media. Quite interesting, isn't it?

From a time, Karthi is not able to deliver big hits in Tollywood, so is Hansika. December 20th release, 'Biryani' is a big test for them, and the success of this flick ensures a red carpet rolled out for them here. Let us see.

Oka Laila Kosam- chaitu, Top heroine sings for Sunil's movie, Hansika got full payment before release

Top heroine sings for Sunil's movie

It is very rare in Tollywood that a heroine who is holding the top throne will do something that is not her cup of tea. But here comes Samantha, if we have to believe reports, has agreed for crooning to a peppy tune.

Actually, Samantha agreed to sing a Telugu song for hero Sunil's upcoming movie 'Bhimavaram Bullodu'. As this hottie is quite fluent in Telugu and good at the language's pronunciation, no doubt she will come up with a good voice. Also if a star heroine like Samantha itself is singing, then it will be huge publicity for Sunil's movie. Because the makers of Bullodu will not keep quiet, and they will use Samantha's singing act's making video for virally promoting the flick for sure.

All in all, this is not just a special vocal rendition by Samantha, but will also be a video song that will help out Sunil. As our comedy hero lost his touch at box office with a flop recently, it looks like he is eyeing perfect publicity for an intense comeback.

Oka Laila Kosam- chaitu

The title of Naga Chaitanya's forthcoming film has been tentatively fixed. Going by reports, the movie is christened as Oka Laila Kosam which was a chart buster song from Akkineni Nageswara Rao's 1980's hit Ramudu Kaadu krishnudu.

Vikram Kumar Konda, who made an impressive debut with Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde, is wielding the megaphone for this film. Tipped to be a youthful romance, Annapurna Studios is producing it. Miss India Universe 2010 second runner up, Pooja Hegde will pair up with Chaitu. Pooja was earlier seen in Jiiva's Mask.

If all goes according to plan, the movie will go onto floors in the second week of December. Will Chaitu live up to the expectations? Will Vikram overcome Dvitheeya Vignam (second hurdle)?

Hansika got full payment before release

After acting in production houses that range from Dil Raju's SVC to Mohan Babu's LP Films, apple pie siren Hansika Motwani has shocked media with her dashing comments. Though she is not to demean any other producer, her remuneration talk simply surprised one and all.

While talking about producer Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green, who produced Karthi-Hansika's latest movie 'Biryani', our seductress revealed some interesting things. 'For the first time in my career I've received full payment of my remuneration much before the film's release', said Hansika. Indirectly, the means that no other producer has given full cheque to her before the movie hits theatres. Generally our producers pay full money to heroes before the release, so it is startling to hear that they are not following the same with heroines

Rule of tinsel towns is that producer pay all the money to all actors and technicians before release itself. Anyway, Hansika is all excited about her producer, and hope her latest release 'Biryani' will also excite her fans in the same way
