As 'Kabali' mania calmed down during the weekend itself, two small films released last Friday. Out of them, '#Pellichoopulu' stood out as a winner whereas 'Jakkanna' failed to engage the viewers. This Friday, two interesting films are lined up for release.
After a long gap Allu Sirish is coming back onscreen with 'Sreerasthu Subhamasthu'. This film is very important for Sirish as his first two films were turned down by the audience. The film has Lavanya Tripathi playing the female lead and has the presence of many seasoned actors like Prakash Raj and Rao Ramesh. Thaman's music is getting good response everywhere. The promotions are on full swing for this film. The unit arranged a special function inviting Chiranjeevi as guest and another function will be held with Allu Arjun coming to support his brother. Also, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote this film.
On the flipside, 'Manamantha' starring experienced actors like Mohanlal and Gautami is getting released as an under-dog with no promotions. The film is directed by versatile film maker Chandra Sekhar Yeleti. The teaser and trailer of the film gained positive buzz. But the team has not given interviews and didn't even have a pre-release function.
Hope both these films get positive talk and become profit ventures for the makers.
