Young tiger NTR Jr is one of the top heroes in overseas market alongside Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan. But, like the other two, he has been unable to score premier records courtesy bad release dates.
Makers of 'Janatha Garage' have announced that the much awaited action entertainer will hit screens on September 1, Thursday. Owing to the imminent national bandh on September 2, makers took this decision. The September 1 release date looks very good in the two Telugu states as Janatha Garage can leverage a holiday-in-disguise-of-bandh on its second day. Alongside the four day weekend, the film will also enjoy a holiday on Monday, Sep 5.
But, the scenario in US is entirely different. Thursday release means the film will have its premieres on Wednesday itself. NTR's last release 'Nannaku Prematho' missed the premier record and collected only $355K from premiers as it was screened on Tuesday. NTR is likely to miss the premiere record again with a Wednesday release. Janatha Garage has a perfect combination to rewrite record books by the end of its full run. But, premiere record is an impossible feat.
Baahubali with $1,382K and Sardaar Gabbar Singh with $616K are sitting on top.
