RAvi Babu: Audio events doesn't bring audience to theaters

These days, it is hard to find a film which releases without a lavish audio release function. When it comes to films of big stars, audio functions are organized as prestigious as festivals. Audio functions are considered as important as any other major aspect of filmmaking.

Here is one Tollywood director who feels audio functions stupid and boring. We are talking about Ravi Babu, who makes unconventional films. He cited the example of pop stars saying that they don't conduct huge audio functions or launch events before releasing any of their singles. The release date is notified to people via internet and still they get millions of downloads says Ravi Babu.

'They don't conduct lavish audio launch events spending money of producers to promote their albums. Making people sitting for three hours and praising each and every one is very boring. Movie going people are not that stupid. They follow movie related information on a regular base and they know what they want to see. Too much publicity with audio events doesn't bring audiences to theatres,' feels Ravi Babu.

He feels not too much publicity but publicity with unconventional posters and promos attracts audience. True to his words, Ravi Babu's next film has a "piglet" in lead role.
