Nayan's BF to Direct Surya?

Suriya, one of the most popular heroes in south, has surprised one and all with the announcement of his new film.

For the last few months, there has been lot of speculation in kollywood about who would direct Suriya after 'Singam 3', which is scheduled to release for Diwali festival. Now, the suspense over Suriya's next film has finally come to an end with a formal announcement by the star.

Young director Vignesh Shivan has been announced as the director of the next film of Suriya to be produced by KE Gnanavelraja on Studio Green banner. It was reported earlier that Muthiah and Sundar C were in the race to bag Suriya's next film. 'Kabali' director Pa Ranjith was also in the race but Suriya's decision of picking Vignesh and a rom-com was really surprising.

With Vignesh Shivan coming on board, speculations are doing rounds that Nayanthara might be roped in to pair with Suriya. It may be noted that Nayan is the rumored girlfriend of Vignesh, who cast her in his last film "Naanum Rowdydhaan". More than for his cinematic achievements, Vignesh is famous as the boyfriend of Nayanthara. At this year's SIIMA Awards Ceremony held in Singapore, Nayanthara publicly displayed her affection for him.

If Vignesh Shivan casts Nayanthara opposite Suriya, it will be her third film with him. The shoot of this film is likely to start in October this year.
