Whenever a Tamil hero gets a hit in Tollywood, some of our producers dub their previous films to cash on their craze and grab profits. Though some films get good response, they even dub films which were remade in Telugu or taken from Telugu films. Recent Tamil dubbed films prove this.
Dhanush became a crazy hero in Tollywood after couple of hits like 'Raghuvaran b.tech' 'Navamanmathudu' and 'Anekudu' last year. Now, many of his old films are getting dubbed here. His films like 'Mariyan', 'Maari' and many others were dubbed. Recently, his old film 'Naradudu' was released here which was a remake of 'Ready'.
Another star hero Vijay got craze with films like 'Thupaki' and 'Jilla'. Now, his film 'Sivakasi' is dubbed here as 'Mass Raja' starring Asin as the female lead. This 'Sivakasi' is already remade by Kalyan Ram as 'Vijayadasami'.
It seems that our producers need to take special care on dubbing interesting films rather than going for these commercial entertainers.
