Chiyaan Vikram was a big star in Telugu with reasonable market value here until his film I Manoharudu had tanked at box office. Manoharudu pre release business was closed at staggering Rs 30 Cr, since it was directed by the ace filmmaker Shakar who previously had made a blockbuster Aparichithudu with Vikram.
The disastrous result of Manoharudu collapsed Vikram's trade value in Telugu. His last movie 10 Endrathukulla hasn't released in Telugu designates drastic fall in his market range.
Vikram's latest film Iru Mugan is releasing simultaneously in Telugu as Inkokkadu on September 9th. Interest had been created on the project, after the release of its first look teaser.
Indeed, the teaser helped the movie getting offers from Telugu buyers. The rights were sold for Rs 5.4 Crores. Vikram is hoping this movie would provide much needed break for him.
Iru Mugan theatrical trailer was released recently to overwhelming response with 2.5 million views just in 2 days. Nayanathara played female lead in the science thriller film directed by Anand Shankar. Vikram's performance in dual roles as raw agent and a transgender villain will be USP of the film.
