Pelli Choopulu is a small film enjoying big success. The beautiful romantic love story with cute treatment is paced to collect nearly $300K in North America. In the total run, the movie is expected to make Rs. 10 Crores while the investment was known to be merely Rs. 80 Lakhs on production.
Vijay Devarakonda, hero of this film became a heart throb for young audience. His name is ringing louder in film circles. Producers and directors are approaching him with plum offers. However, Vijay is keeping all these calls on hold working in Italy for upcoming film Arjun Reddy.
Pelli Choopulu not only increased Vijay's market but also hiked the budget of his new arrivals. Arjun Reddy contemplated to finish the whole production and post production in 4 to 5 Crores is now increased to 6 Crores. One more film Dwaraka from Supergood Movies is planned on a budget of 4 Crores might also go high on promotion cost.
Vijay is also receiving calls from top production houses in Tollywood. His talent gained recognition with Pelli Choopulu, although Rishi in Yevade Subramanyam and a supporting character in Life is Beautiful were his first appearances.
