By now, we all know that Balayya’s Legend is a political
entertainer and when the filmentered the Censor Board for clearance, the filmmakers were
in for a shock as the board said that they will have
to cut a few scenes and beep some “objectionable” dialogues.
However, the board gave another option to the
filmmakers to avoid any cuts and rather asked them to take a ‘No Objection Certificate’
from the Election Commission of India, as they were of the opinion that the
strong political punches used in the film might disrupt law and order in the
State considering the election season.
And much to the joy and
relief of the makers, the EC has given the film a clean chit and in fact has
appreciated the director Boyapati Srinu’s take on current-day politics. Now,
Legend will have to wait to get a U/A certificate from the Censor
Board.
Legend is set to release worldwide on the 28th of March.
