Mayabazar movie in curriculum books?
Mayabazar movie goes into academic curriculum. The evergreem
Telugu classic of the 1957 starring NTR, SVR, ANR, and Savitri in the lead
roles is noted as amasterpiece work and a gem on the
celluloid that government has decided to immortalize it by including it
children’s curriculum.
Come next year, 10th standard students will
read about the greatest master piece as part of their syllabus in
their textbooks. The state department of education will have it included in the
fourth unit of English as well as Telugu text books.
The chapter on Film and Theater will cover good length of
details on Maya Bazaar including performance of actors such as
Savitri and SVR. It is indeed a good move and a fantastic way to help the movie
reach out to next generations and become immortal!
