Mega producer Ram Achanta needs no introduction to those who are familiar with Telugu film industry. Not only a successful NRI businessman but with in due course of time he proved that any one with great passion, dedication and discipline can make a strong and remarkable mark in the film industry.

Ram Achanta perused Engineering graduation and then flew to Chicago, USA with an ambition of becoming  Software Engineer, but eventually started his own IT consulting and development company called Comdata Inc in Chicago. With his hard work and business acumen he soon become one of the successful entrepreneur in Chicago area by giving jobs to more than 1000′s of IT consultants across USA.

As per his close friends in the Engineering days, Ram Achanta is know for his simplicity and dignified nature. Though he talks less, his well behavior and soft nature that hurts no body made him surrounded by many friends in college days. His friends share that he has not changed a bit even today.

Ram has a brother Gopi Achanta who is a business man in India. Both Ram Achanta & Gopi Achanta has great passion and interest towards world cinema and always had a dream of making an entry into Telugu film industry to make a mark for themselves. But as said, for everything time has to come, and for them the time was 2010 when their debut film ‘Namo Venkatesha’ has released under their banner 14 Reels along with Anil Sunkara who was also a business man in Chicago, USA.

Namo Venkatesha was a hit Telugu film in the year 2010 under the direction of successful director Srinu Vaitla. Since then there was no look back for them. Theirnext movie Dookudu with super star Mahesh babu under the same director ‘Srinu Vaitla’ was a industry hit in the year 2011. The movie stood as one of the best in Mahesh babu and Mr.Vaitla’s career. Whole industry started talking about 14 reels banner and the folks behind it. Of course, every success brings more responsibility along with fame.

Ram Achanta’s next venture was ‘One, Nenokkadine’ with Mahesh babu and director Sukumar who is know for his classic movies like Arya. This movie received highly critical acclaims. Though it did not make it big at the box office, the movie was well received by movie lovers who always thrive for different movies. The movie took Tollywood to next level per many folks in the industry. Hero of the film Mahesh babu said that ‘One’ was his most memorable film in his entire career which gave ultimate job satisfaction. It showed different side of hero Mahesh babu from the performancefront.

Ram Achanta’s upcoming venture is with hero Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu. Legend is going to be an action entertainer under political backdrop. Legend is one of the most awaited movie in 2014 and also in Balakrishna’s career. Popular hero Jagapathi babu quoted in a public function that Ram Achanta and his team are not only film makers but also good human beings. This single statement tells how humble and noble they are.
