Puri Jagannadh going back to basics

It seems Puri Jagannadh is planning to start his second innings and is more interested to work with upcoming heroes as he used to do in his early career.  In spite of his best efforts after the hit of ‘Pokiri’, he could not register a hit.  In the beginning of his career, he did more films with Raviteja who was at that time a struggling actor.  Movies in their combination gave good break to both of them which brought stardom. Now, he is working with Nitin for ‘Heart attack’ which is under production.

Buzz is that, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram has approached Puri to direct a film under his home production. Without a second thought, Puri readily accepted the offer, as he was experienced and more comfortable working with struggling actors to find place in the industry. Though Kalyan Ram is having good backup as a hero, he has not proved himself. Let us see how this rare combination works for both of them.

Every big budget film cannot be a success and reap returns for the producers. One such film is, recently released box office dud ‘Varna’.  The producers of this movie ‘PVP’ productions invested huge money on this socio-fantasy film which garnered flop talk both in Tamil and Telugu.  They could not even get their investment on the film and suffered heavy loss.

But, the director of the film ‘Selva Raghavan’ is trying to do his bit of justice by foregoing his remuneration and is also willing to do his next movie for the same production house without taking any remuneration.  Even, he is trying to rope in his brother Dhanush for the lead role in the film.  Will ‘PVP’ accept his golden offer or else give him a silent slip as they have already received a blow from him? Let us wait and watch.
