Puri to  remake Assembly Rowdy with Vishnu

We all are aware that Cherry's remake ( Toofan ) as got a huge flop buster, Still we are unable to forget this, Now we have another remake news. 

 As per the industry sources, Manchu Vishnu is going to do his first film with Puri Jagannadh. With successive hits of ‘Denikaina Ready’ and ‘Doosukelta’ under his belt, Vishnu is busy with few more prestigious projects on hand.

As per the buzz, he is going to team up with director Puri Jagannadh for his latest up coming film, which is a remake of all time industry hit of Mohan Babu ‘Assembly Rowdy’. The movie, directed by B.Gopal, was the first block buster hit in the career of Mohan Babu who played the role of an MLA who comes to the rescue of poor and downtrodden in a rather unconventional way.

In the remake, Vishnu will be seen playing the role of Mohan Babu. With this, a couple of movies with political overtures are lined up for release before the next General Elections.

K Balachander congratulates Tanikella Bharani

Tanikella Bharani’s ‘Midunam’ got rare reviews from the critics as well as many rewards and awards. Lately, Bharani got the rare compliment from the legendary director Balachander.

Going into the details, Bharani received a phone call from Balachander who said ‘I watched your ‘Midhunam’ on YouTube and I want to watch a quality print of the same”.  Bharani immediately couriered a DVD of the movie to him and after watching the same, Balachander again called Bharani and complimented him saying “It is a mind-blowing movie”.  Also congratulating S.P.Balasubramaniam who played the lead role, he expressed his feeling through a letter saying “it is fantastic video poetry of 120 mins footage”.

The film was shown in Chennai Film Festival yesterday. Bharani who attended the function paid a visit to the legendary director and thanked him for his compliments and said that he is role model for many a film makers like him and feel proud to receive compliments from such a stalwart. Hats off to Thanikella Sir.
