In contrary to the reports in some media circles, Chiranjeevi's 150th film tentatively titled Kathilantodu shooting isn't stopped. Director of Photography Rathnavelu informed that shooting is in full swing. Second schedule was kick started couple of days back. Chiranjeevi is participating in the schedule.
Kathilantodu happens to be the remake of Tamil hit Kathi starring Vijay. Director VV Vinayak re-scripted it with more energy making it suitable for mega star image. Ramcharan is producing it on newly established Konidela banner.
There was a discontent expressed by fans and a section of audience on Chiru picking a remake subject for milestone film. But, Vinayak roped Paruchuri Brothers and Sai Madhav Burra to strengthen the dialogues and scenes. So, the subject is made more effective and Devi Sri Prasad is given the task of providing music. However, the heroine isn't confirmed till now.
Amidst some chaos prevailed on the shooting update Rathnavelu said, 'Chiru 150th shooting in full swing!! Second schedule starts...Megastar rocks!! What an energy.' The film is slated for next year Pongal release.
