According to
grapevine, 'king of comedy' Brahmanandam is being kept aside. Of late, the
offers for Brahmi have been reduced drastically. Unlike before, he is now
getting only limited offers. Even in the films he offered, his roles have been
confined to less screen time. Neither in Baahubali nor in Srimanthudu, he has a
role to play. Also reports have it that he has been replaced in Srinu Vytla-Ram
Charan's upcoming film which is slated for Dasara release. At the same time, he
has not been cast in Gunasekhar's Rudhramadevi. Except Trivikram's S/O
Satyamurthy (SOS), Brahmi hasn't had a decent release this year. Unfortunately
he couldn't get a place in Puri Jagannadh's Temper or Kalyan Ram's Pataas.
At the moment, the next big release of Brahmanandam is Kick 2. His last hit was Loukyam that too he confined to very short, unimpressive role. Films like Dohchay, Pandaga Chesko failed at box office whereas SOS was an average fare. Brahmi is now pinning all hopes on Surender Reddy's Kick 2. If it clicks, Brahmi is going to get a big boost.
