In a surprise
of sorts, An online ticket seller got almost 5 shows, ie 2000 tickets at a
multiplex got sold out just in 15 minutes after they opened the sales. This is
regarding Mahesh Babu's latest movie "Srimanthudu". While fans are
claiming that it is the craze for their heartthrob hero, few online buffs
accused that only 100 tickets are sold online for those 5 shows and rest are
blocked even when the sales is opened. So, what's really happening?
A leading multiplex owner spilled the beans on the whole happening as he reveals that few influential people and corporates blocked all the tickets for the opening show. What wonders anyone is, if those people are booking tickets for their personal pleasure or selling them somewhere else. Normal ticket rates at multiplex is Rs 150 but the whole of theatres in Andhra and Telangana are seeing a splurge in black ticket sales since the release of Baahubali, where regular tickets are sold anywhere between 500-1000 rupees. For the first 3 days, this craze will not go down as many movie lovers want to watch these big star flicks by the first weekend itself. Hope these bulk and corporate bookings don't result in such sales.
But tickets should me made available online for common cinema lovers, otherwise where would they go and buy if corporates zero on everything?
