Film industry is buzzing about two 'cute' heroine and their 'hot' desires. Of course, we have to dream and dare to achieve it, and young sirens like Swathi and Avika Gor are following it to the core. Despite the work they are finding here in Tollywood, their desires are sensible. Let us see.

New entrant Avika Gor aka Anandi swept a wave across hearts with her belittling performance in Uyyala Jampala. That made her a sought after youngster in Telugu industry. Sharing her thoughts about 'hot' desires, Avika is quick to say that she is eyeing an Oscar. Yes, you heard it right. This cute lady wants to bag Oscar award at sometime in life.

Coming to Telugu beauty Swathi, she became a director's heroine ever since she scored big with Ashta Chamma. However her charisma hasn't magnified due to some poor flicks she picked. Though she's on and off in Tollywood and Kollywood, Swathi's name still rings a bell. Her desire is to bag Filmfare award.

So, we have to wait and watch when these two 'cute' girls will walk away with their prized possessions

We have been witnessing many Tollywood stars joining band wagon of NaMo fans. Colors Swati is the latest celebrity who is following the suite of entering the Narendra Modi’s fan’s list.

According to a strong buzz going in the industry when a media scribe asked about Modi Swathi wall all praises about the charming personality of NaMo. Swati was heard of mocking at Congress’ Rahul Gandhi. It seems she burst into laughter when she was asked her opinion about Rahul Gandhi and said that he lags far behind Modi in the race for the post.  Swati was learnt to have said that Modi is an intellectual person and right candidate to become India’s Prime Minister.

Swathi;s movie in Malayalam received National Award at the 61st  National Film Awards and she is on a high for the same. Her upcoming movie Karthikeya is gearing to hit the box office, and the girl has pinned lot of expectations on it.

Although she is not part of any big blockbusters, Colours Swathi's name strikes a chord instantly. The spunky siren has got no regrets for slowing down of her career though she got big offer in commercial circuits. Brushing this aside, Swathi does have political plans.

In a candid chat, popular anchor, actress, singer and dubbing artist Swathi Reddy alias Colours Swathi revealed her thoughts about becoming Chief Minister of state. As her what she wants to do if she becomes a CM, Swathi says, "I want to build a corruption free society and construct fast track courts in all villages such that justice will not be delayed anymore." Maybe Swathi's dream in real life could get little tougher, but she could cherish it on silver screen if such a role comes to her.
 

On films side, Swathi's latest release 'Bangaru Kodi Petta' hasn't laid her with any golden eggs. She will be waiting eagerly for her next 'Karthikeya' where she paired up with Nikhil for the second time. Maybe the cute actress should pick up some happening scripts, and let's hope Karthikeya will be one that give her big  break!

Story

Bhanumathi (Swathi) is kicked out of her sales executive job, as she would have produced bogus certificates. Vamsi (Navadeep) is a small time thief and he falls for Bhanumathi, while she uses him to rob the gold in her office, which is actually meant to be given as Sankranti gift offers for customers. And whether the two succeed in stealing the gold or not forms the rest of the story.

Plot

Bhanumati is a sales executive of Energee Drinks and is thrown out of the job despite her good sales record because she would have produced false certificates at the time of joining, as she is desperate for a job. Vamsi falls in love with Bhanu but she shows no interest, as she feels he is not serious guy. However, she hatches a plan to rob the gold bars that her company aims at distributing to its customers on the occasion of Sankranti and thus Bhanu takes Vamsi’s help to succeed in her master plan. And like any other robbery stories Bangaru Kodi Petta too has its twists and turns in the story that lead to a confusing climax and you will have to watch the film to know if Bhanu and Swathi succeed in their robbery or not.

Performances

Navedeep has excelled in his performance; he has rather essayed his role with a lot of ease and has delivered a balanced performance, be it romantic, emotional or comic scenes, the actor is very impressive. Swathi has also delivered a lovely performance as well and especially in comedy scenes the actress has given her best shot.

Ram, Lakshman, Harshavardhan and Santosh have done a commendable job.

Technical Department

Sahir Raza’s cinematography is exceptional and music by Mahesh Shankar is melodious. Editing department could certainly have done a better job. Else, there is not much to talk of the technicalities of the film.

MnG Analysis

The film takes off well and you can sit through the first half easily with comic scenes strewn here and there but the second half you will tend to lose patience as the narration gets slow and thereon the film drags, which is the major let down. Navdeep is definitely the guy to watch out for and Swathi is very expressive and is refreshingly good in comic sequences. The supporting cast is also good but the story on the whole has nothing fresh to offer rather it is very similar to any of the robbery films that we have watched earlier. Superb cinematography and good music are the highlights of the film. Editing could have been a lot crispier especially after the interval.

Verdict

Bangaru Kodi Petta is not a must-watch mainly because if you are looking for a fresh story, then film is not the one for you. Yes, if you are the curious type then watch it for good performances and it is certainly not bad for a time pass!

Navdeep: doing Baadshah was a blunder?

Navdeep hardly has a single hit that he boast of; while his Chandamama is one Krishna Vamsi takes that credit and the actor has been failing to make his presence count in the industry and on silver screen. He pinned hopes on his upcoming movie Bangaru Kodi Petta with Colors Swathi and the movie is releasing tomorrow.

On the eve of his movie releasing tomorrow Navadeep spoke and admittedly said thatin spite of completing ten years in the industry, he couldn’t establish as a successful hero. He added that post Chandamama success he waited for better projects for more than a year.

He expressed that his doing cameos in films like Arya 2 and Baadshah weremistakes. He in fact felt that doing Baadshah was a blunder. In addition to these hesaid that his short temper has hampered his growth as an actor and as a person.
