The two mistakes mistake director Deva Katta did is, teaming up with RR movie makers who are known for their bad financial planning and second one is choosing a hero like Naga Chaitanya who does not have the financial blessings of his father Nagarjuna even in the feeble moments.

Deva might have thought choosing Naga Chaitanya might give some promotion to hisventure as he knew very well that his last film Prasthanam was a master piece and due to lack of promotion and star value it did not mint money. But all his hopes aregone with the wind as Nag proved himself as a pure financial brain than a caring dad.

No one knows when the movie will see light? Feb over, March no hopes, April Elections.. May be May???? Lets hope so.. We pity the most talented director Deva Katta and wish him all the best.

It must be very much frustrating for director Deva Katta to see his dream project stuck in the financial web and struggling hard to see the light of the day for the past year or so. Deva Katta caught the attention of everyone with his critically acclaimed Prasthanam and he chose to make Auto Nagar Surya as his next.

Everything seemed bright until the producers of ANS fell into financial problems and the film was stalled mid way. From then on Deva Katta has been patiently waiting for the release of this movie. He didn't even start his next movie till now. Naga Chaitanya and Samantha on the other hand moved on to other projects. We have been hearing about the reports of ANS release from last September. The last press note sent by the producers read that the movie will release on February 27. As per latest update, ANS is not releasing on Feb 27 and it is not clear when it will actually see the light.

Frustrated Deva Katta tweeted 'A director is merely a spectator whn it comes to d release of a film jst like d audience. He has no choice but to believe in wht he is told (sic)'. However he is confident about the way the film has shaped up. 'As of last week my wrk wth ANS is complete. Evry artist & technician who contributed to d film r extremely proud of wht they could achieve ! (sic),' he wrote on his twitter page.

Finally, Nagachaitanya’s upcoming flick Autonagar Surya has got the release date, sigh!

The film will hit screens on the 7th of February. Also, the music launch of the film is scheduled to be held on the 19th of this month.

The film was in news for all the wrong reasons; due to financial constraints the shooting was delayed and that can possibly aid to the negative publicity of the film. And we also heard that the film is still under the dark of clouds of financial hurdles and the makers are still struggling to come out of this crisis.

But one real good news is that the trailer of the film is receiving very good response and this could be a huge savior for now, as the expectations are soaring high. Autonagar Surya is directed by Deva Katta and Samantha will be the female lead of the film.

Release date of Balayya’s ‘Legend’

The much awaited film of Balayya ‘Legend’ will be released on 28th March instead of last week of February as announced earlier and the audio release is being planned for the February month end.

Balayya and Boyapati Srinu are once again teaming up after ‘Simha’ and as per the reports, the film is shaping well and is sure to cross Simha’s record. Career wise also, it is going to be a prestigious project for both of them who have tasted failure in their earlier films.

Presently, shooting is going on in brisk pace in Hyderabad. Sonal Chauhan and Radika Apte are playing female lead roles opposite Balayya while Jagapati Babu, after a long gap, is going to appear as villain.  Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for Balayya for the first time.

No doubt director Deva Katta is one of the finest directors, our Telugu industry is always proud of him. His command over Telugu language is commendable and often praised by even rock heart critics.

But.. what he lacks is knack of sustainability in this cut throat industry. Which is why he was not able to get good offers from commercial producers.  Though he scored a decent hit with his film Prasthanam (thanks to the poor publicity), he could only bag one offer from R.R movie makers to make ‘Auto Nagar Surya’ with 2nd grade hero Naga Chaitanya. But due to the financial crisis of RR movie makers the movie stalled in the climax and Papa Nagarjuna also could not help much to Chaitu for long term.

Now finally after so many hiccups, the movie is all set to release soon and Deva released the trailer which is simply mind blowing.  The dialogues, taking, power punch crisp dialogues everything looks so promising.

Every one who have watched the trailer telling the lion is back… First time ever, Naga Chaitanya did excellent job.

Mahesh Vs Pawan Kalyan: Attending other hero audio functions

To maintain stardom for a long time to come, every hero is having his own set of rules.  Take for example, Pawan and Mahesh, the superstars of Tollywood.  They have their own set of image, attitude, etc.  Normally, a superstar in top position does not mingle much with others except for a few.  This is true in both cases of Pawan and Mahesh.

But, as we see these, Pawan attending audio releaes functions of  Nitin, Srikanth etc. This encouraging aspect of Pawan showcases his liking and love for his well-wishers, which will also give the hype to the film. May be Pawan may not put an end with these two, he may choose few other heroes like them in the coming days.  That is one of the good sides of Pawan.

Coming to Mahesh, he is known to be reserved and even speaks rarely with the heroines during the shoot. So far, he could attend the functions related to his Brother-in-law Sudhir Babu only where he is comfortable with.  But, this stand of Mahesh may send negative signals in the industry. Sensing this, Mahesh seems planning to attend the events of smaller heroes and encourage them.

A flop film can become a hit if the producer is tactful in its promotion. We are talking about the recent release ‘Varna’, the title role played by Anuskha.  The film got terrible reviews from all over. Yet the producers did not lose hope.  They know that Anushka and Prince Mahesh are good friends for a long time.

To cash on it, they immediately approached Mahesh Babu and requested him to watch ‘Varna’ in his home theatre and for that purpose to get the best audio effect, they even provided the requisite technical accessories to his home theatre.

But to the outside world, the news is Mahesh Babu showed keen interest to watch ‘Varna’ along with his family in his house. This news is sufficient to make audience crazy and flock to the theaters much to their disappointment.  But, in the meantime, the producers would collect considerable money.

What a publicity, if this work most of producers can follow this. If possible with Mahesh, else with some other super star.

Nag as confidence on Deva Katta

Many rumors are making round in the film industry regarding the debut film of Akkineni Nagarjuna’s lad, Akhil.  Earlier big directors like Rajamouli, Puri Jagannadh and Trivikram came up, but nothing has been finalized.  The latest in the list is director Deva Katta who is currently doing ‘Autonagar Surya’ with Naga Chaitanya.

It seems Nagarjuna was very much impressed the way he presented Chaitu in ‘Autonagar Surya’ and immediately handed over the responsibility of Akhil too to Deva Katta and the script work preparation has already taken off. May be, in the next year, the film will go to the sets.

Choreographer Vishnu Deva is turning as Director

One more Choreographer is moving steps to become Director. After Prabhudeva, Lawrence, and Khatarnak director Amma Rajasekhar, it is the turn of Vishnu Deva who is  going to do his debut film as Director with Nagarjuna’s nephew Susanth.

Earlier, Vishnu worked as Assistant under the Bollywood Choreographer Ganesh Acharya.  Later working under Prabhu Deva as one of the Assistants in the direction department for some films, Vishnu gained good knowledge .  Speaking on the occasion, Susanth said that while Adda shooting was going on in Switzerland, Vishnu came with a story line, I liked it thoroughly and when it has been developed, I was really impressed.

This film, which is being produced by Sri Nag Corporation, has earlier produced ‘Adda’ movie and will commence its shooting from next month.  Music is being scored by Anup Rubnes. Let us wish good luck to Susanth to score a hit at least this time.in his home production.
