Two struggling Telugu heroes have decided to battle it out at the box office today. Aadi's Chuttalabbayi and Sushanth's Aatadukundam Raa are the two notable films that will be fighting it out to give a reprieve to the respective actors.
Aadi had impressed the audiences with his movies like Prema Kavali and Lovely before delivering a slew of flops. Now, he is back to test his luck with Chuttalabbayi. In this film, he will be seen sharing the screen space with his father Saikumar. Director Veerabhadram Chowdary, who received unprecedented criticism for directing Nag's biggest disaster 'Bhai', has directed this movie.
Going by the trailer, the film seemed to be another run of the mill action comedy. We have to wait for one more day to see how the audiences react to this Chuttalabbayi.
Post the release of 'Adda', Sushanth took a massive gap to sign his next film. Aiming to score a super hit to revive his career, he has teamed up with G Nageshwar Reddy, whose forte is comedy entertainers, to come up with 'Aatadukundam Raa'.
Going by the trailer, the film revolves around a time machine and there are umpteen spoofs in the film. The trailer promised that the movie is filled with loads of entertainment or we can say over the top comedy.
There is scope for both Chuttalabbayi and Aatadukundam Raa to score brownies if they offer good content. Let's wait and see who makes a comeback.
Young hero Sushanth, who is gearing up for the release of his new film 'Aatadukundam Raa', has spilled beans on the most confusing question that has been plaguing the Telugu movie lovers.
There have been umpteen stories in circulation about Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Samantha's love story. It is also reported that their wedding might take place by this year end. While Chaitu has been silent on this, Samantha has been indirectly hinting, giving clues without any official announcement. Well, here comes the almost conformation.
To promote 'Aatadukundam Raa', Chaitu participated in a small chat session with film's heroine Sonam Bajwa and Sushanth. During this session, Sushanth divulged that Chaitu has already selected a girl. Then, both Sushanth and Sonam cornered Chaitu saying everyone wants to know when he will be marrying?
But, Chaitu cleverly skipped the query saying, 'Aren't we supposed to talk about Aatadukundam Raa?' His face also turned red as Sushanth leaked the secret which he had been holding tight all along. No one took Samantha's name though.
After exactly 3 years of gap since the release of his last film, Adda, Sushanth is once again testing his luck with Aatadukundam Raa, which is releasing this Friday amidst aggressive promotions.
Despite not having a decent hit with his last three films, Sushanth's Aatadukundam Raa surprisingly completed its pre-release business and got table profits for the producers. However, more than the hero, the primary factor behind Aatadukundam Raa business is none other than the Comedy King Brahmanandam.
Brahmi is playing a full-length hilarious role just like his character in Vishnu's super hit Dhee. Trade circles are hoping that Brahmi will regain his form in Aatadukundam Raa and create magic with his comedy just like he did in Dhee.

Apparently, hero Nagarjuna has taken responsibility of his nephew Sushanth too. His elder son Naga Chaitanya appears in a cameo role and his younger son Akhil will be seen shaking his leg in a special song in Sushanth's upcoming film Aatadukundam Raa being made under Annapurna Studios Banner.
After scoring back to back hits with Soggade Chinni Nayana and Oopiri, Nagarjuna announced to take care of his sons future ventures. Naga Chaitanya and Akhil's next film scripts and directors are locked. In the meantime, Nag has also produced a film Aatadukundam Raa to provide break for his nephew Sushanth.
Touted to be a hilarious entertainer Aatadukundam Raa has Sonam Bajwa playing female lead role. G Nageshwar Reddy, who is known for making comedy entertainers, has helmed the project, while Anup Rubens has scored music.
Amidst speculations that Sai Dharam Tej-starrer Thikka would be deferred against to initial plan of having the release on Aug 13, Sushanth is now toying with the idea of releasing his film Aatadukundam Ra on Aug 13. Though nothing has been confirmed yet, but the makers of Aatadukundam Ra are contemplating to release the film if Thikka is postponed.
Chintalapudi Srinivas said to have spent a bomb on the film and even shot songs in overboard without compromising. All post-production works have been wrapped up and the film's first copy is ready and waiting for the censor to be done. The music, composed by Anup Rubens, would be unveiled on Aug 5 in Hyderabad in grand way with the attendance of Akkineni family.
Sushanth is pinning high hopes on Aatadukundam Ra and is pulling out all stops to make it a success. Tipped to be a romantic entertainer laced with action & drama, Sushanth would be seen romancing with Sonam and the film also features Brahmanandam, Prudhvi and Vennela Kishore in pivotal roles.
Will PVP cinemas grope Pawan Kalyan
With Anushka Shetty's latest offing Varna opened to poor reviews and turned out as damp squib, it's going to have an affect on Pawan Kalyan's up next venture as PVP Cinemas, which made the former, is going to produce Pawan's film. Varna made with a whopping Rs 55 crore (as claimed by PVP), it's going to suffer huge losses, according trade experts. This has set tongues wagging in tinsel town that it's going to have an adverse impact on Pawan-PVP venture. But considering that the budget of Varna is a tip of iceberg for PVP, he could sail through it easily.
Though there is no information on who is going to wield the megaphone, it is buzzed that PVP is going to rope in Trivikram Srinivas again. The proposed project would take place soon after Pawan Kalyan's much awaited Gabbar Singh 2.
Why don't you try for top directors
All his first three films are produced by his mom Naga Suseela, and as you have guessed it already, his fourth film is also being produced by her. One will wonder if any hero in film industry will get so many 'lives' in this 'game'. Welcome to Tollywood folks.
Sushanth, grandson of ANR and nephew of King Nagarjuna has made his foray into films way back in 2008 itself. From last five years he has done three movies, Kalidasu, Current and Adda, and all of them ended on a bitter note only. Moreover, Sushanth's mother Naga Suseela is the producer of these flicks and Annapurna Studios is the backbone for other support needed. All the time, his mother is picking assistants of big directors but is failing to get right script. But still her desire to make son a big hero is quite bigger than all of her dreams, and that is why she is planning to give 'fourth life' too.
Analysts feel that Sushanth should try for big directors itself rather working with some big guy's associates. His Adda is directed by Puri Jagan's assistant, while this latest fourth flick will be handled by Prabhudeva's assistant. Have a reality check Sushanth!
