Mohenjo-Daro is making Giant Production House to leave India!

Indian cinema is undoubtedly one of the biggest markets in the world. With a view to cash-in some huge money on these lines, many big production houses look out for India as most-preferred destination to make movies, immediately after Hollywood. However, a well-known global company has disastrously failed to rake-in good numbers and as a result, they are planning to quit Indian movies.

The cinema, we are speaking about, is 'Mohenjo-daro' starring Hrithik Roshan, Pooja Hegde and the production giant is 'Walt Disney'. Known for its production values and offbeat attempts, Walt Disney has fans worldwide and off course India bigtime. But the company seems to facing tremendous troubles post the release of Mohenjo-daro.

It's needless to describe how utterly the filmed bombed at box-office, despite being directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar. Citing challenges with Bollywood economic model as a reason, Walt Disney India calls it a quit for India and however it would continue to release the films made by them in US.

This comes down as quite a setback for Indian cinema and sadly, for Hrithik Roshan and Ashutosh too. We assume this could impact on others US-based firms looking at Bollywood and it's unclear how large were the losses incurred by Walt Disney - India by undertaking Mohenjo-daro. 

Hrithik wins millions of hearts

Bollywood's leading stars Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar locked horns OK the Independence Day with their most keenly awaited films, Mohenjo Daro and Rustom. While Hrithik toiled hard for over 2 years on his period epic, Akshay was raring to score yet another 100 crore movie.

However, all of Hrithik's hardwork went down the drain as Mohenjo Daro received severe flak from critics and movie lovers alike. Starting from the setting up the backdrop and the story, nothing was quite exciting in this 120 crore lackluster film which bit the dust already.

On the other hand, Akshay scored his hat-trick 100 crore film this year with Rustom and rightly cashed in on the patriotic fervor. The film is still running in theaters and Akshay thanked his fans for giving him yet another blockbuster.

Surprisingly, it was Hrithik who replied to Akshay's tweet with heartfelt appreciation. Hrithik said "Good to see you so happy man! Enjoying your success is also a talent! Happy is a practice. Bravo". Well, no wonder Hrithik, even though scored a flop, has win millions of hearts with his grace.

Big Competitor for GAV?

Govindudu Andarivadele is all set to hit the screens on this Wednesday in a grand way. This film is going to be released in more than 1800 theaters across the globe. The producer of this film is betting big on it and says that it could become the new industry hit of Telugu Cinema industry.

No other Telugu film is releasing in this weekend and that is going to be a huge advantage for Govindudu Andarivadele to cash in on the festive season. However there is one film that will surely have some impact on it. Hrithik Roshan's action extravaganza Bang Bang is releasing on October 2nd, just a day after GAV strikes the screens.

Hrithik is a popular star in Telugu states as well. Perhaps he is the only Bollywood hero whose films get dubbed in Telugu regularly. Hrithik's film could put a dent on the collections of GAV especially in US and in Hyderabad. If Bang Bang manages get positive reports then GAV will face tough competition from it.

But the makers made sure that even desi-lovers get that toast of quality and punch. Chases on water, car crashes, bike stunts, high profile ammunition and scintillating lip-kisses make 'Bang Bang' sound like an international flick where Hrithik and Katrina acted. Mahesh Babu has arrived and the prince of Tollywood just seems to have usurped the “ONE” (Nenokkadine) position in style. The opening of One Nenokkadine obviously seems to have surpassed all expectations and we have to wait for Monday to know the actual box office collections from the film.

But the first public reaction is mind-blowing and the audience has given a huge thumbs-up for their stars’ film. One Nenokkadine has emerged as an excellent psychological thriller and Mahesh’s stylish attitude, uber cool looks, dance, action sequences and an overall awesome performance is the USP of the film. Of course, we have to make special mention of superb direction and technical excellence that takes the film to a whole new level. Also, we cannot forget to mention Gautam; should we say a star is born? May be too early to conclude but he has all the qualities of a prospective star, definitely promising.

This indeed will be a landmark film in Mahesh’s career and so for the director Sukumar. And if at all one has to pick a glitch in the film it would be the second half, which could have been tweaked a bit, else One Nenokkadine will stand out as the years’ “number one” blockbuster film.

Hrithik requested media and people to grant neede privacy

Bollywood super hero Hrithik Roshan announced that he and his wife Suzanne separated. He said that Suzanne has decided to annul the marriage. The two were in relationship for 12 years before they have decided to call it quits.

The two were married in 2000 after Hrithik’s debut movie was a success and they are parents to two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan. The actor said in a statement that it is a trying time for his entire family and requested media and people to grant the needed privacy.

This announcement has come just a week before their thirteenth anniversary. Meanwhile Hrithik has been undergoing treatment for his frequent headaches and he hoped to resume his normal life soon.

December month has been lucky for Nagarjuna as far as his film career is concerned.  His earlier films Manmadhudu, Mass, King, Ragada which were released in this month became super hits and ‘Rajanna’ got rewards and awards.  Successful movie ‘Satyam’ produced by him also released in this month only.

After the hit of ‘Businessman’ movie, many expected that Mahesh will do the sequel with the same director, Puri Jagannadh.  But as per the latest developments, this project may not come up in the near future.

Currently his ‘One’ is in the final stages of shooting.  After that Prince would do ‘Aagadu’ in Srinu Vytla’s direction.  Simultaneously, he would be teaming up with Trivikram for the third time.  Out of the two films ‘Athadu’ and ‘Khaleja’ they did earlier, ‘Khaleja’ could not register a commercial hit. For the third film, Bandla Ganesh is going to be the producer though a formal announcement from him is still awaited.

As per filmnagar sources, Trivikram scripted a fantastic story for Mahesh which is a blend of all commercial elements that guarantee another blockbuster hit for him. After ‘Aagadu’, Mahesh may take up Koratala Siva’s movie under UTV banner.  So, it looks very clear that ‘Businessman -2 may once for all shelved.

Krrish 3's record collections after day 15

Indian superhero franchise Krrish 3 has set a new record. It’s become the highest grosser ever (of all times) earning Rs. 228.23 crores from 15 days. This was confirmed by Rakesh Roshan, director and producer of the movie. He said, “This Friday’s collections were Rs.2.44 crore, which brings the total 15-day collection to Rs.228.23 crore. So yes, it looks like ‘Krrish 3′ has broken all records.”

He added, “Records are made to be broken. We are happy that the merit and power of ‘Krrish’ has been endorsed in just 15 days. And in such a short span of time our film has begun a journey of setting new records. God has been kind.”

Hritik played the super hero role and the third edition carries forward the story and Krrish takes on dark power brokers.

Bollywood trade expert Taran Adarsh said: “The large number of screens and the ticket rates have definitely helped ‘Krrish 3′ to undertake its record-breaking journey. But eventually everything boils down to the quality of the content. If the script is solid, there’s no stopping a film. Also, it must be kept in mind that if a film is to be a universal hit, it must cater to a universal audience.”

Satisfying different sections of audiences is really difficult

Simply saying, two films that are blamed by Tollywood for their pace and entertainment potential are now celebrating their rollicking start in their own dominions.

Two films from other tinsel towns have proved that both Tollywood's critics and audiences are wrong. One of them is India's most talked about science fiction thriller 'Krrish 3', and the other one is Tamil hero Vishal's latest release 'Pandiyanadu' alias 'Palnadu' in Telugu. Krrish 3 is rated as b-grade stuff in Telugu circuits with critics blasting director for his lacklustre effort in bringing up a spine chilling story line. However, people all over the world are going gaga over Hrithik Roshan's performance and the movie is inching fast into the 300 Crore club with full houses even after 15 days after its release.

Coming to Vishal's Palnadu, the film is attributed to its slow pace and lack of heroism, and Telugu audiences felt bored watching it. But Palnadu is going strong in Tamilnadu and in the overseas market as Tamil audiences are feeling like watching a realistic flick. Satisfying different sections of audiences is really difficult and this situation is a perfect example of it but nothing else.

Krrish 3 in the bigger club

Krrish 3 which was released about a week ago is now creator of many records. The movie opened to all-time high of 25.5 crores and then had had the highest single day collection of Rs 35.91 last Monday and reached its 100 crore milestone on its fourth day.

And there is more to that. The Indian superhero franchise in its third edition has already entered the 150 crore club which again makes it the quickest movie to reach the milestone. The much anticipated and hyped movie was given 4 star reviews on average by movie critics and the Diwali holiday release also helped the movie to get good crowds.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh has tweeted the record: #Krrish3 crosses ₹ 150 cr mark in India. Wed: ₹ 18.11 cr. Total: ₹ 152.98 cr. FABULOUS.

The superhero movie was released on November 1st and in 7 days time there is also Krrish merchandise wooing kids and youth. Toys are also being planned. Krrish 3 was directed and also produced by Rakesh Roshan and the movie features Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi and Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles apart from Hrithik who reprised the Indian superhero.

According to latest reports (not official though) it could be December 15th or 16th that could see audio launch of 1 Nneokkadine.

Kriti Sanon is playing Mahesh’s pair girl and she is heard doing a news reporter role in the movie. The Sukumar’s directorial is being presented by 14 Reels Entertainments and the big-budget is touted to be a suspense action thriller.

Krrish-3 crosses 100 crore mark in 4 days

Hrithik starrer sensational Sci-fi film’Krrish-3′ crossed Rs.100 crore mark after four days of its release. As per the trade analysts, Rakesh Roshan’s film has shattered the highest single day record. It has collected Rs.35.91 crore on Monday, the highest single day figure ever a film has collected in the Indian cinema history and termed it as truly a Diwali gift for the industry.

Made at a budget of Rs.100-150 crore, it has been released in 3,500 screens world wide and from day one, the film has been doing well at the box office. First day collection was Rs.25 crore, second day’s earning was Rs.23.20 crore and on Diwali, the earning was Rs.24.30.

Krrish series started with “Koi Milgaya” in the year 2003 “. In Krrish -2, it was Krishna defeating Siddhant Arya and save his father Rohit. In “Krrish-3″, he fights with a dark evil force called Kaal played by Vivek Oberoi and save the world. Kangana Ranaut too got to play at a fantastic role, while Priyanka Chopra plays the female lead to Hrithik.

100 crores is nothing!

Telugu cinema market just reached Rs. 100 crore mark. Attarintiki Daredi may turn out to be the first film to collect worldwide gross collection of over 100 crores. Hindi Cinema has been seeing many films do this feat in India alone. Now Bollywood's market has expanded much more and today crossing 100 crores is cakewalk for Bollywood superstars.

After Ek Tha Tiger, Ye Jawani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express now Krrish 3 has crossed 100 crore mark within the first week. 100 crore is no more an achievement for Bollywood biggies. Especially for the films like Krrish 3 where so much money is invested, joining 100 crore club wouldn't be enough.

Now the new benchmark for a Bollywood seems to be somewhere near Rs. 175 crore mark. Chennai Express, which is just an ordinary entertainer, did business close to Rs. 220 crore. Now Krrish has amassed Rs. 108 crore in four days only. It has high chances to cross 175 crore very soon and also looks like joining Rs. 200 crore club. The bar is set high for Bollywood superstars now. Reaching 100 crore mark is not an achievement anymore at least for the superstars.

Hritik starrer Krrish 3 is continuing its success at the box office despite mixed reviews from critics. The movie has recorded a remarkable feat at the box office by collecting a whopping Rs 35.91 crores yesterday which is the highest for any movie on a single day. That’s not all Krrish 3 has also entered the prestigious 100 crores club in only four days.

This was announced by noted Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his Twitter handle. He tweeted, “And *highest single day* record lies shattered. #Krrish3 collects History on Mon. Collects 35.91 cr. The highest *single day* figure EVER.” His next tweet says, “”Also, #Krrish3 hits a ton. Crosses 100 cr mark on Mon. Fri to Mon: 108.61 cr,”

Krrish 3 is the third edition in the science fiction super hero franchise directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, the first and second in this franchise being Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish. Krrish 3 features Vivek Oberoi, Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles.
