Legend is
running to packed houses all over. It had a tremendous first weekend in AP as
well as US. Legend is all set to clock Rs. 25 crore share in the first week as
per trade estimates. Balakrishna is undoubtedly the main reason for stupendous
response that this film has been receiving.
However there is also one more person that gets fair amount of credit for the success of this film. That is Jagapathi Babu who played the antagonist in Legend. Jagapathi's performance and his menacing looks have made this a battle of equals and both of them have taken this mediocre script to another level.
Jagapathi Babu is reportedly being flooded with new offers after Legend. The actor is in no hurry to cash in on this new found image. Jagapathi was struggling prior to Legend with no offers on hand. His decision to take up the negative role has changed his fate. Bollywood heroes play baddies in other heroes films. But our heroes are mostly egoistic and couldn't imagine being kicked by other hero. Jagapathi Babu has put all those inhibitions aside and he is reaping the fruits of it. Take a bow Jaggu Bhai!
