After Keeravani, Who will be the Rajamouli's Music director?

After Keeravani, Who will be the Rajamouli's Music director?

Rajamouli treats his film crew like a family and most of the time it is his family members who create wonderful work through his support. Among them, music director Keeravani is the most talked about. Rajamouli stated many times that he could think of no one else other than his big brother for his films.

In the wake of MM Keeravani announcing his retirement post 2016, the first thing everyone will discuss is the combo of Keeravani and Rajamouli.  For all the eleven films directed by Rajamouli till date, Keeravani scored music and for upcoming Baahubali too, he is the solo composer. By the time Keeravani retires by the end of 2016 he will be wrapping up the two parts of Baahubali. And if Rajamouli has to start a new film then, he has to find a new music partner for sure. All this time, Keeravani and Rajamouli are not just family but they share nice timing and perfect sync when it comes to delivering mind blowing music for movies.

So, who could possible work with Rajamouli for extended periods like Keeravani and deliver those stunners? Many say that Devi Sri Prasad is immensely liked by Rajamouli next to Keeravani and he might continue as his first outside partner for music.

5000 shots for Baahubali

5000 shots for Baahubali

Truly standing up to the synonym 'magnum opus', ace director Rajamouli is making sure that the flick sounds huge and tall in all dimensions. Not just the budget that is talked about, but the kinds of efforts being poured into his 'Baahubali' are a discussion now.

Using Visual Effects to create special effects has become a regular task for movie makers now. But creating realistic environments and digital set extensions is always a daunting task irrespective of the technology and creative they put. Rajamouli is one director who makes use of such VFX quite well since his Magadheera. So far Indian movies have had about 3000 vfx shots in their flicks, while our director's Eega had around 2000 shots created by the visual effects departments. And this time Baahubali is going to create records with more 5000 shots created virtually in VFX studios.

Currently the team of Baahubali is busy filming a massive war sequence on Prabhas, Rana and others. Talk is that more than the real production of this film, VFX work is literally costing a bomb. So, is the output anyway!.

Why is VV Vinayak is poking his nose into Rabhasa ( Joru )?

Why is VV Vinayak is poking his nose into Rabhasa ( Joru )?

Why is VV Vinayak is poking his nose into Rabhasa?!

Things does not seem to be too good with Jr.NTR forthcoming film Rabhasa; almost on a daily basis there is some change or the other we get to hear from the camp. It was earlier heard that Koratala Siva was shooting two songs for the movie because director Santosh Srinivas is down with jaundice.

But the current turn of affairs with regard to the film is quite shocking; it seems the producer of the film Bellamkonda Suresh has handed over the script to his close associate VV Vinayak to make a few changes! For your information Vinayak is supposedly directing the debut film of Bellamkonda Suresh’ son and thus their friendship seems to be thick.

Obviously, Santosh Srinivas is not a happy man but was unable to show his despair because Jr.NTR was in support of Bellamkonda’s decision. At present the shooting of a song for Rabhasa is going on at Pollachi and the film is set to release on the 9th of May 2014.

For now it seems like “too many chefs are spoiling the broth”. We hope such interference will not affect the film’s outcome.

Who will be the heroine in Pokiri-2?

Who will be the heroine in Pokiri-2?

Who will be Mahesh’s heroine in Pokiri 2?

We all know Mahesh achieved super stardom almost overnight with the stupendous success of Pokiri directed by Puri Jagannath.

According to latest reports we hear that Puri Jagannath is keen to make a sequel of Pokiri titled Pokiri-2. Obviously this time too the director will cast Mahesh as the hero but we wonder who will be romancing the super star.

As we all know the hot and sexy Ileana D’Cruz who was just a film old when working in Pokiri shot to fame instantaneously with the film becoming a super-duper hit. She was applauded and accepted by the industry whole-heartedly with plum offers.

Who will be the ideal actress to be cast opposite the cool dude Mahesh in Pokiri-2? In our opinion a fresh face would be a good idea but our personal favourite will be Kriti Sanon, as the girl we think has class, style and gorgeous looks. And her chemistry opposite Mahesh in their recent flick One Nenokkadine simply lighted up the screen. But Puri seems to have voted for Praneetha, tell us what do you think about their combination.

Is it Because Clash between Rajamouli & Keeravani?

Is it Because Clash between Rajamouli & Keeravani?

Clash between Rajamouli & Keeravani?

While the actual reason is not known to all, the timing that Keeravani has chosen to announce his retirement lead to so many speculations. Some say, keera vani is not willing to take any more stress as age is catching up. Some say he is out of new tunes and really working hard to make few interesting tunes for the films. But may opine that there is clash between Keeravani and Rajamouli during the making of Bahubali. Otherwise this is not the perfect timing to announce. He could have announced after music launch or at some other grand event.. But expressing in twitter/facebook is kinda a hasty decision.

But above all one common opinion among film nagar folks is that Rajamouli is not so happy with the tunes given by his brother Keeravani and as a result the tough task master is putting lot of pressure on him to extract the right amount of juice. Though this is the same scenario for every film in their combination, it is said that this time Rajamouli is putting enormous pressure as Bahubali belong to  altogether a different genre.

Keeravani expressed his displeasure with his close friends and family and finally decided to take this shocking decision to give a jolt to Rajamouli. It is indeed a tough thing to Jakkanna to digest. No doubt Keeravani’s back ground is life of every Rajamouli’s film.

For now, every one is waiting for Rajamouli’s comments on his brothers decision.

PPT: Pitch-perfect comedy Timing!

Pandavalu Pandavalu Thummeda (PPT), touted as Manchu clan's multi-starrer, has garnered great buzz ever since it hit the floors. The movie marks the comeback of veteran actor Mohan Babu in a lead role, nearly after a decade. It also showcases Manchu Manoj in a never-before-seen role Mohini (draped in a sari). Director Dasari Narayana Rao donned grease paint after a while for a hilarious cameo. All these aspects created enough hype around the film. Let's sneak into the film to see how far they fetched!

Plot:
Crisply, the movie is all about Naidu's (Mohan Babu) family and his five "orphan" sons Pandavalu- Vijju (Vishnu), Ajay (Manoj), Varun Sandesh and (Lucky) Tanish.

Mohan Babu (Naidu) is a foster, doting father to Manoj, Varun Sandesh and Tanish whereas Raveena is foster, caring mother to Vishnu and Vennela Kishore. With a sudden turn of events, both the two single families club to form a large family. Like any other family, it too goes through its rough phase. Yet, they brushes off their differences soon and gets united. Thanks to Honey (Hansika) who played pivotal role in family's union. Hansika has a troublesome background that pushes her into neck-deep difficulties. How Naidu's family steps in to save the girl (Honey)? What are the hurdles that come in between form the film.

Performances:
The film's stellar cast-Mohan Babu, Vishnu, Manoj, Raveena Tandon, Hansika, Pranitha- is the big asset for the film. Of course, their pitch-perfect performances carry of the film totally. For Mohan Babu, Vishnu and Manoj essaying these characters is like a piece of cake. Everyone fit the bill and gave their best performances. After a longtime, one could watch Mohan Babu flexing his muscle and doing a jig. Yes, he enthralls us with his trademark acts and dialogue-delivery.

Vishnu
is natural at his acting and does his best. One could watch the most stylish Vishnu as a gambler in the film. Vishnu's chemistry with Hansika worked out well and does magic again. Perhaps, it's a record that Vishnu-Hansika scored three hits in a row.

Manchu Manoj, who showcases myriad variations in his character, deserve a pat on his back. Especially, his lady getup Mohini steals the show. Manoj, who did it with so ease, bags extra brownie points. Pranitha's glam show, Brahmanandam's humour touch are icing on the cake.

Direction:
Director Srivas has hit a jackpot with this out-and-out entertainer. With a good star cast , it's a cake walk for Srivas.

Music:
Music by Baba Sehgal, Achu and Keeravani is soothing and easy on ears. Lyrics are equally good.

Technical aspects:
Songs, scenes shot against picturesque foreign locales (Bangkok) are visual treat.

Thumbs up:

1. Ensemble cast
2. Title
3. Witty dialogues
4. Commercial elements

5. Cinematography
6. Picturesque locales

Thumbs down:

1. Cliches
2. Minor editing errors
3. Predictable twists

Analysis:  After Denikaina Ready and Doosukeltha, Manchu Vishnu has clocked a hat-trick hit. The film is totally engaging and funny. Director and writers tactically got the nerve of Telugu audiences- the film tickles your funny bone to the hilt. After all, that's what common audience expect.

If director could have avoided few cliches, minor editing errors and predictable twists, the movie could have become a classic comedy.

On whole, the movie is a breathe of fresh air with right doses of comedy, sentiment, romance, action. But the only disappointment for Manchu fans is they will sure miss Manchu Lakshmi. Wish, director Srivas should have penned a well-conceive role for Lakshmi.

Bottom line:

The film has all the elements to satiate your hunger. Watching PPT (Pandavalu Pandavalu Tummeda) is treating yourself as it gives you a new experience altogether.

Heart Attack Movie Review

Heart Attack Movie Review

Cast: Nithin , Adah Sharma , Ali , Brahmanandam and Others
Directed by : Puri Jagannath
Produced by : Puri Jagannath
Banner :Puri Jagannath Touring Talkies
Music by : Anoop Rubens
Release Date : 2014-01-31

Puri Jagannadh, who has been churning out below average entertainers has made a commercial love entertainer with Nitin, who is in best form with back to back hits to his credit. How did Heart Attack fare?

What is it about?

Varun (Nitin) is a traveler who likes Hayati (Adah Sharma) in first sight. She eventually falls in love with Varun, but he doesn't have any ideas about serious relationship. All he wants is a French kiss from her. Varun realizes his love on Hayati and by that time it is too late. He has to fight hard to get her back.

Performances:

Nitin is good in the role of a traveler. He made the character believable. He has developed natural ease and he can pull off any character now. Adah Sharma is average in looks and she did okay as an actor. Brahmanandam and Ali are usual. Nothing to write about. Brahmi tried hard to make the comedy work, but in vain. Ajay and other villains did routine stuff.

Technicalities:

Puri Jagannadh once again failed to come up with a decent story. His storyline and characters look plain ordinary and Puri couldn't do much with them. As a producer he has spent lavishly on the film. Puri should seriously think about spending much time on the script than on the project.

Puri Jagannadh's dialogues are okay and camera work by Amol Rathod is fine. Fast cut editing is turning out to be routine in Puri's films. All style no substance kind of film from Puri and team. Music by Anup Rubens is average. There is not even one song that will make a lasting impression on you.

Analysis:

One would expect some unique story point in the film looking at the title. However Heart Attack is just an interesting title for an ordinary film. Nitin's traveler character doesn't make any sense. Why is he wandering around all the countries and why does he run after Adah Sharma for no reason. First half of the film has four songs which comes and goes without proper situations.

There are some moments that are in lighter vein, which would keep the flow going. Interval scene is just ordinary and doesn't create any interest on the film. Second half is routine stuff with Nitin coming back for heroine and fighting with the villain. Except for few dialogues there isn't anything that impresses in this film.

Heart Attack is yet another half hearted attempt from Puri Jagannadh with a half baked script. Luck has to favor Nitin if this film has to pass off as an average grosser. It is high time Puri Jagannadh should stop making films with no proper content. A story should have at least a theme, middle and ending no? Why to make films that neither entertains nor bores the audience. Absolute time waste this!

No time for Mahesh?

No time for Mahesh?

Mahesh Babu's current film Aagadu shoot is going on at a brisk pace. This film is expected to release in August or September. The makers are aiming for the season that has helped Dookudu to be a blockbuster. Mahesh will be doing a quickie right after completing Aagadu.

Puri Jagannadh will direct Mahesh Babu's next and it will be completed in a flash. It will release for Pongal if everything falls in place. So Mahesh will be repeating Dookudu, Businessman feat again, which were released within a gap of four months. Puri has narrated a single line story to Mahesh to which the Superstar has waved green.

Meanwhile Maniratnam's multi-starrer movie is still on although Mahesh didn't announce about it officially. This film is expected to be launched in July. There is no clarity over Mahesh's film under Koratala Shiva's direction. It may go to sets after Puri's film, say sources.

Mega camp are waiting for the result of Heart Attack?

Mega camp are waiting for the result of Heart Attack?

No, it's not the story of a mega hero, but it is a story written for Mega hero which eventually rejected and fallen in another hero's kitty. Director Puri Jagan minces no words when it comes to talking candidly regarding his movies and here are his thoughts.

Talking about 'Heart Attack', his latest movie that has young dynamite Nitin and beautiful Adah Sharma in the leads, Puri Jagan revealed the original idea behind this story. 'After listening to the song Aur Ho from Rockstar movie scored by AR Rahman, I got the idea for this story. And this film was supposed to be Varun Tej's launch movie', shared Puri. In fact, there was huge buzz long back that mega brother Nagababu's son will be launched by Puri Jagan but that got cancelled due to unknown reasons. Finally this 'Heart Attack' is shaped with Nitin in the lead and is hitting screens on January 31st, 2014.

What is surprising is that all the stories written by Puri for some other hero like Idiot, Pokiri and Amma Nanna O Tamilammayi are super hits when made with another hero. So, the entire Mega camp will be waiting for the result of 'Heart Attack' to check out what is going to happen now. Fingers crossed.

Nag, Mahesh and Aishwarya Rai in Single Frame?

Nag, Mahesh and Aishwarya Rai in Single Frame?

Aishwarya Rai, who has been taking a break from acting post birth of Aaradhya Bachchan, is all set to make a comeback. But the news is that she is making a bigger, grand reentry. Buzz is that Aishwarya is going to join with a Mani Ratnam film. Rumour mill says that Aishwarya has been signed for Mani Ratnam's next.

Interestingly, the movie stars Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu in pivotal roles, say reports. Talk is that Aishwarya would pair up with Nagarjuna in the film. However, the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu is not yet finalized. Strangely, Mani hasn't cast Abhishek Bachchan who earlier teamed up with him in Guru and Raavan, as the proposed project is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. The yet-to-be-titled film is rumoured to be adaptation of classic Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan. However, Mani Ratnam hasn't revealed whether this is a new story or adaptation of the proposed novel. Considering that Nagarjuna's previous combination with Mani Ratnam, Geetanjali, is a classic and this is first time combo with Mahesh Babu, expectations on this film are way too high even before a formal announcement.

Currently in pre-production phase, the proposed movie is expected to roll on from September or October. If all goes well, Telugu audiences could watch Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna and Aishwarya Rai in single frame. Stay tuned to this space for more updates.

NTR in Bahubali Sequel?

NTR in Bahubali Sequel?

Young Tiger in Bahubali?

Don't know where it has surfaced the first, but it has turned out to be the hottest gossip among film circles yesterday. Someone spread false news telling that NTR is going to play a special role in Rajamouli's magnum opus 'Bahubali'. Prabhas fans were elated to know that Bahubali has turned just bigger.

Some of NTR fans are not very happy to know that NTR has accepted a special role in this film. However, Rajamouli quickly reacted and put an end to all the gossips. He cleared the air by saying that NTR is not part of Bahubali. He also ruled out Sunil making a special appearance in it.

Rajamouli, who made three films with NTR so far, is yet to make up his mind to direct the latter again. Fans of NTR are waiting eagerly for this combination as they can do wonders at the box office. Right now Rajamouli is too focused on Bahubali and he is not in a mood to think about any other subjects until he is done with this.

60 day promotional plan for Chandamama Kathalu

60 day promotional plan for Chandamama Kathalu

Finally, we will get to see the fairy tales told to us by our mothers and grandmothers coming alive on-screen; Chandamama Kathalu surely will be a nostalgic film for most of us.

The director of Chandamama Kathalu Praveen Sattaru stated, “Chandamama Kathalu is all about 8 threads/plots/stories, interwoven and intercut, taking you on a journey through Poverty, Deception, Glamour, Greed, Affluence, Conjugality, Hope and Bard………, travelling from the slums to the affluent hills, from adolescence to retirement and from ignorance to arrogance in contemporary Hyderabad”.

Praveen also adds that the film’s description might be long but the story is kept short and sweet. The other interesting fact we heard is the makers are coming with a unique promotional strategy for the film; they have a 60-day promotional plan with innovative ideas for the audio release.

This film certainly will be the one to watch-out for because it will be a larger viewership; young, old, children almost all age-group audience would love to watch this fairy tale.

Rajamouli to Direct Pawan Kalyan for his next project?

Rajamouli  to Direct Pawan Kalyan for his next project?

Jakkana to work with Pawan for his next
This news will certainly cheer Pawan’s fans and the deadly combination of S S Rajmouli and Power star is certainly the one to watch out for. It seems Rajmouli has already narrated the story to Pawan and the actor has confirmed to work on the same.

The shooting of Babhubali was stalled for two days due to the sudden demise of ANR during this time Rajmouli, his father Vijendra Prasad and Bahubali’s producer Shobu set up a meeting with Pawan to narrate the story line.

Although an insider said, “It is too early to comment on this news but a film in the combination of Pawan and Rajmouli is possible.”

Also, we do not have any official confirmation about this news either from thee director Rajmouli or producer Sobhu. But if at all this combination works out then we are in for a treat.

Luck is flooding towards Shruti

Luck is flooding towards Shruti

Shruti gets to work with Mani Ratnam
The blue-eyed hot actress Shruti Haasan has got the Midas touch of late and the fact that she has been flooded with plum offers is a proof to her tremendous success in the film industry. Shruti literally is all over the place; be it Bollywood, Tollywood or Kollywood she is getting huge film offers.

And the opportunity of a lifetime for Shurti is definitely this one; the actress has got the chance to work with ace-filmmaker Mani Ratnam. The director as we all know is making a bi-lingual with actor Mahesh Babu and Shurti is offered to play the lead opposite the super star in the film.

As for Shruti was her diplomatic self and did not confirm this news but said that it would be anybody’s dream to work with Mani sir.

But one of our close sources revealed, “Shruti has been approached for almost five films recently, and unless she signs the film and the project is officially announced, she does not talk of it. She is working on four films now, and details of her next project will be announced only at an appropriate time.”

We guess it is ideal to wait for the official confirmation and Shruti will be one lucky girl if this new is true because apart from Mahesh the film’s star cast includes Nagarjuna, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fahadh Faasil.

Mahesh May change his Habbit?

Mahesh May change his Habbit?

Not bogged down by fuss created by his detractors over his latest offing One-Nenokkadine, Mahesh Babu has moved onto is forthcoming film Aagadu directed by Srinu Vytla. Mahesh, who is presently shooting for the film in the locales of Nanakramguda in Hyderabad, is focusing all his energies on the film to make this film a blockbuster.

The movie will showcase Mahesh in Rayalaseema slang. Already, Srinu Vytla confirmed that Mahesh will be seen in never-before-seen Mass avatar. What's up? Tamannaha Bhatia too essays similar role- a mass girl. Buzz is that both Mahesh and Tamannah play Rayalaseema cops. Currently, the shooting is going on briskly.

Rumour: Rift between Balayya and Nagarjuna?

Rumour: Rift between Balayya and Nagarjuna?

Absence of Nandamuri Balakrishna at the homage paying day to legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao is still a hot subject in tinsel town. Except our mass hero, many of his family members are present to pay last respects to ANR. What might have made Balayya absent?

Both on first day and on funeral day, Balayya was not seen anywhere near Annapurna Studios where ANR was laid to rest finally. Though Balayya's wife Vasundara and son-in-law Lokesh attended the scene, it is really surprising that the Nandamuri hero failed to appear in person. Some say that he is quite sentimental as his daughter got married recently and only after one year he could visit a dead body. In that case, even his wife was also not supposed to attend. Few felt that Balayya was not in town on that day. But he could attend the funeral day at least, and no place in India is located in such remote now. All these loose ends are pointing fingers towards rumours like rift between Balayya and Nagarjuna.

During Balayya's second daughter's wedding recently, Nagarjuna has given a miss and so Balayya is reciprocating this way, say some. But death is the one where people should keep their egos in refrigerators and visit the body to pay homage. We wonder, what Balayya has to say about this!

Vishnu supports his Father

Vishnu supports his Father

Manchu Vishnu says that there is no wrong in using a 'Padma Sri' title as a prefix before his father's name in the movie titles. For tomorrow's release 'Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda' too, Mohan Babu's name will be written with a prefix 'Padma Sri' before it, confirmed Vishnu.

Undeterred by the court case lodged against Mohan Babu and him for using 'Padma Sri' title in Denaikaina Ready titles, Vishnu accused that political detractors are trying to make a scene out of this. 'There are many instances where others too used them as prefix in movie titles. As a producer, I got no official guidelines to not use them', said Vishnu. Fuming at BJP leader Indrasena Reddy for dragging his father into a controvery for the sake of political benefits, Vishnu asks, 'Will the use of Padma Sri title boosts ticket sales?'

An adamant Vishnu stressed that Mohan Babu is a Rajya Sabha member in the past and there is no wrong in giving respect to a person like his dad who truly deserves it. There is a point in his argument!

‘One’ Stands tall for dubbing rights, NTR to start his own banner

‘One’ Stands tall for dubbing rights

One overtake Yevadu for dubbing rights

Not concerned with hits and flops, Mahesh got a brand image of his own. He got this country wide popularity, especially in Bollywood, not only for his dubbed movies but for various commercial ads promoting international brands.

Now, the sensational news is the Hindi dubbed version of his latest film ‘One-Nenokkadine’ has been reportedly brought for a huge sum of Rs.4.0 crores, which was an highest ever paid for dubbing rights of a Telugu film, while the ‘Yevadu’ could only settle for Rs.3.6 crores.

So, this time Mahesh may not be the champ locally but proved to the world that he is still unbeatable and no other hero matches his stamina as an actor.

Certainly, the subject of ‘One-Nenokkadine’ surely goes well with Bollywood audience and one of the top heroes there would go for a remake of this suspense thriller.

NTR to start his own banner

Young Tiger to start his own banner

One more hero from the Nandamuri clan is going to start his own production house after Kalyan Ram. If reports are to be believed, Young Tiger NTR is planning to make the movies on his, yet to be started, home banner.

Earlier Nandamuri Kalyan Ram made a couple of films which were not so successful.  Now, as per the buzz, efforts are being made for a film under the combination of ‘Mirchi’ fame Koratala Shiva and NTR but no official confirmation to that effect has come yet.

Currently, NTR is busy with ‘Rabhasa’ with Santosh Srinivas and after that Sukumar’s film is in the pipeline. So, that means, it may take not less than a year for NTR to start his production house.
