Tollywood observes bandh today ( Thursday ). The Telugu Film Industry has suffered an irreparable loss with the death of legendary actor Akkineni Nageshwara Rao. Following the demise of the great actor the film industry has decided to observe a bandh today as a mark of respect to the departed soul.

Almost all industry members, eminent personalities and thousands of fans poured in Annapurna Studios to pay their last respect to ANR.

Movie Artists Association head Murali Mohan called for the bandh to mourn the death of ANR and he has also made an appeal that all theatres in the State should be shut down.

Actor Murali Mohan has also requested ANR’s son Nagarjuna to build a memorial at the Annapurna Studios.
The actor also stated, “It is sad not just for the Telugu and Indian cinema but for the world cinema. I don’t think any actor in the world who was around 90 but was still acting”.

ANR was battling with intestinal cancer and he breathed his last during the wee hours on Wednesday.
