Old age commercial Vs new age technical excellence
The new trailers of Sankranthi releases 1 Nenokkadine and Yevadu are out and both the films focused on setting right expectations on the films. 1 Nenokkadine is primarily an action thriller with intense action and high quality production values. This film doesn't bear commercial values and Sukumar made sure that the trailer puts the film in the right light.
On the other hand Yevadu film is also an action drama with right mix of commercial elements. There will be powerful dialogues, heroism and also Brahmanandam in it. Yevadu has three leading ladies and there wouldn't be any shortage of glamour and masala in the film. Even the audios of the film are entirely different albeit being composed by the same music director. We are all aware that One songs are already gone viral.
We have to wait and see if the age old commercial formula or the new age technical excellence gets the attention of audiences this festive season. As of now we can clearly see that 1 Nenokkadine is a film that will appeal to urban audiences and Yevadu is targeted at masses. How much do they appeal to other sections of the audience will play the role in the success of these respective movies.
Nag to produce Reality show
Though King Nagarjuna hasn't acted in Superstar Mahesh's 'Dookudu', he is literally a character in the movie kicking the comedy sequences of Mahesh and Brahmi to a high. Brahmandam always talks with Nagarjuna via secret cameras such that the owner of MAA TV will give him the whole of prize money.
In Dookudu, Brahmi plays as a contestant of a reality show that is being run by King Nagarjuna. Coming to real life, one might have wondered if Nag really does such reality stuff. Surprising one and all, Nagarjuna stated the other day that he is really looking forward to produce a TV reality show. Also he accused that he has given the offer to MAA TV long back, but they are not using him. That means, one day we will definitely see Nagarjuna running a 'reality show' in the likes of Big Boss as said in 'Dookudu'.
On the other hand, Nagarjuna's cancelling of film projects and starting TV serial ventures is worrying his fans. If Nag could believe in TV serial scripts a lot, why does he not believe in movie scripts and start his next. Nag will be soon seen in Manam and afterwards there is nothing he has finalized.
