Chiranjeevi was emotional after watching GURU?

It is a known fact that both Venkatesh and Chiranjeevi share a superb friendship from a very long time. Going into details, Venkatesh had arranged a special screening of the film for Chiranjeevi a few days back and reports suggest that Chiru loved the film and Venky’s performance completely.
The talk is that Chiru was quite emotional after watching the film and praised Venkatesh to no extent. Venky’s mature role as a boxing coach has become the talk of the town ever since the trailer was launched.
All those who saw the film have only very good things to say about this film which is a complete sports drama. Guru is set for a massive release tomorrow.

First Look: Nithin's LIE-Love Intelligence Enmity

After a lot of back and forth, finally the makers of Nithiin 24 have zeroed in on to its initial title - Lie. The first look of the film has been unveiled online today on the eve of actor Nithiin's birthday.
>Interestingly, Hanu has roped in actor Arjun as the film's antagonist opposite Nithiin. It's learnt that Arjun's role would be on par with Nithiin's role and said to be one of the powerful roles he had portaryed in the recent times. It's said that Arjun's role would reminisce us of his performances in Gentleman and Oke Okkadu.

Considering that Hanu Raghavapudi's last film Krishnagaadi Veera Prema Gadha (KVPG) with the same production house 14 Reels Entertainment was both critical acclaim as well as commercial success, expectations on his ongoing film too are good.

The unit has left to the US for a 70-day-long schedule. The film is going to be shot in Vegas, las Angels, Sanfrancisco and chicago of the United States. Meanwhile, the makers have also decided the film's release date. The film is planned for release on Aug 11, 2017.

Akhil trying hard for Alia Bhatt

Plagued by constant delays, Akhil Akkineni's second film is long over due. While director Vikram Kumar is busy scouting locations, the makers are now said to have stuck over the film's female lead. Although reports had it that new entrant Megha Akash would be cast opposite Akhil, delay in the film's shoot said to have resulted in the actress' moving on with her other commitments.

Megha, who has already started working in Nithiin-Hanu Raghavapudi's film, has signed Ram Pothineni and director Kishore Tirumala film. While she has headed to a month-long US schedule of Nithiin film, she is expected to move onto Ram's film once she's back from the US.

Apparently, Akhil is now using all his Bollywood contacts. Buzz is that Akhil is now taking Karan Johar's help in roping in Alia Bhatt for the film. While it's still unclear whether Alia would take up the role, but it's said that Akhil is making a serious effort. Also, Nagarjuna said to have very good rapport with Mahesh Bhatt as the duo worked for a film (Criminal) earlier. Since Nag himself is producing the film on his home production, apparently, Nag is also in talks with Mahesh.

Given that Alia is quite busy with her lineup of films in Hindi, it has to be seen whether Akhil would able to rope in Alia or not.

Mahesh Requests his FANs

Fans of Superstar Mahesh Babu have been eagerly waiting for the first look of his new film in the direction of AR Murugadoss, #Mahesh23. The first look and title announcement were expected to come out very long back but the postponements disappointed fans time and again.

Alia Bhatt: Even If I get married, I won't quit acting

Despite emerging as one of the star heroines and most sought after actress of Bollywood, Alia Bhatt is reportedly looking forward to get married. Yes, the 24-year old bubbly beauty seems to have set herself some rules when it comes to career.
Enjoying the star status in Bollywood and top rank among actresses, it's definitely a risky move by Alia. Unlike other actresses, Alia isn't planning to have a prolonged acting career till 30+. Her intention is pretty clear- she doesn't want to face problems like many other senior actresses who got hitched at their 35-40s'.

'Even If I get married, I won't quit acting for any reason and since I got the opportunity to start working at an early age, I was flooded with plenty of suitable chances,' is what Alia had to be say about per post-marriage plans. Exemplifying Kareena Kapoor, Alia claimed, 'I would like to shape my career similarly by grabbing more projects post marriage and even after pregnancy.'

While Alia will be part of Ayan Mukerji's 'Dragon' in her next, she's currently dating Bollywood actor and her fist co-star Siddharth Malhotra.

Puri to concentrate on Gods With "Hey Bagwan"

Crazy director Puri Jagannath is the only top director who lines up at least 2-3 new projects while filming his current one. After a brief hiatus, Puri looks to be back to his express pace

The dashing director has already started his new project, #NBK101 and a fight schedule was recently canned. Although 'Tapori' title was initially heard, Puri has reportedly almost finalized 'Ustad' as it suits Balayya's image and age.

While promoting his March 31 release 'Rogue', Puri has spilled beans on his project after #NBK101. He revealed that he will make a film on Gods, titled 'Hey Bhagavan'. What sort of troubles people of this generation face because of Gods is the theme of the film.

Puri has the habit of throwing satires on Gods in most of his directorials. A few dialogues mouthed by Mahesh Babu in 'Businessman' are fine examples for this. One wonders will there be any limit to the satires this prolific writer-cum-director pens as he will be completely concentrating on Gods in 'Hey Bhagavan'.

Religious people generally don't spare films having even a few objectionable gestures, dialogues or scenes against Gods. How Puri mark punches will be received by them will be interesting to watch.

Let us think good and only good things will happen. When time is right we will meet. I pray almighty for your well-being.”
The houses were built by Gnanam Foundation of Lyca Group, the leading film production house that’s bankrolling the Super Star’s forthcoming sci-fi wonder, 2.0.

Crazy Combination: Pawan Kalyan - V V Vinayak movie to start from ?

Comedian turned producer of high budget movies, Bandla Ganesh is one of the luckiest filmmakers to have got the opportunity of making two back to back films with Pawan Kalyan. The self-proclaimed devotee of Pawan is now reportedly planning another film with Pawan and the director is VV Vinayak.

In his 15 year long career, VV Vinayak has time and again tried to get the nod of Pawan Kalyan but the project never materialized. Now, Bandla has reportedly initiated discussions with Vinayak and Pawan for a powerful mass entertainer with an underlying message for society.

Pawan has already committed for two movies. After Trivikram's project, he will act in Tamil director Neeson's direction for the rumored remake of 'Vedhalam'. We will be in 2018 by the time he completes both these films. Later, the Jana Sena founder will be fully immersed in political campaign in view of 2019 assembly elections.

Bandla and Vinayak's plan is to prepare a message-oriented mass subject, on the lines of Megastar's 'Tagore', by early 2018 keeping Pawan's filmy and political image in mind. The story will be laced with Pawan's ideologies it is heard.

The target is to release the film for Sankranthi 2019, just 2-3 months ahead of Assembly elections. Bandla is aiming to satisfy the mass fan base of Pawan and also take his political image to new heights. If the message is well received by people and the film becomes a hit, it will surely help Pawan and his party in elections.

It may be recalled that NTR Sr has also done message oriented commercial movies right before he plunged into politics. Can Pawan recreate the unbelievable feat pulled off by the late legend?

No films in hand and She entered into a ???

Young beauty Pranitha Subhash, who is best known to Telugu audiences as 'Bapu Bomma' from Pawan Kalyan's 'Attharintiki Daredi', has started a new business.
Pranitha has reportedly invested the money earned from films in pub business. She has recently started a new pub named 'Bootlegger' in Bengaluru. It has been designed with vintage interiors. She claims that her pub offers the cheapest yet best experience in the city. If her venture becomes successful, Pranitha has plans of setting up branches in Hyderabad and Chennai too.

Post Attharintik Daredi, Prantiha couldn't make it big even after acting in a few biggies. Despite doing a handful of films in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada, her career didn't shape up as she had expected. This might have inspired the actress to succeed in business.

On work front, she was last seen in Brahmotsavam and she is yet to sign a new Telugu film.

Theri Director to tie up With Prabhas?

Known is that hunk hero Prabhas will be featuring in youngster Sujith's upcoming movie whose shooting already got started. Their plan is to release a teaser of the movie along with Baahubali: The Conclusion such that audience will know what to expect from Prabhas' next.

And Prabhas is not taking it easy when it comes to standing by his words that he will at least do two films a year from now onwards. Reports are coming out that he has picked up a young Tamil director who made two dashing movies that have stunned Tamil box office and also impressed Telugu folks.

Other day at both Ramoji Film City and also at the pre-release party, director Atlee made his presence felt in Hyderabad. He's the one who made films like Raja Rani whose melodic love story created a storm, while his action film Theri with Vijay has simply shocked all the action lovers. With him not attending any other function in Tollywood post the success of those films and only attending Baahubali 2 event, there seem to be something to read between the lines.

Otherwise, what is the connection between Atlee and Rajamouli that the young director attended the event? We have to wait for a while to know what is really cooking.

Akshay as more space than Rajinikanth?

Superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's upcoming science fiction visual spectacle '2.0' may reportedly have more surprises than what one could expect from this Shankar directorial.

As per latest reports. Rajini will be seen in 5 different characters in the film. He will play scientist Vaseekaran, a Robot, a Villain and two more intriguing characters. Watching Rajini in one character itself gives goosebumps to his fans. Imagine the euphoria this film can create.

On the other hand, Bollywood hero Akshay Kumar, who is playing the villain role, will reportedly be seen in 12 distinct looks including that of a villainous crow, which was already unveiled by the makers. It is heard that Akshay will be having more importance than Rajini in this Rs 400 Cr visual epic.

Amy Jackson also is playing a robot in '2.0', which is slated for worldwide release fro Diwali, 2017.

HC notices to Balayya's Movie and Anuskha's Movie

The High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states have sent notices to the producers of Gautamiputra Satakarni and Rudhramadevi. Acting on a PIL (Public Interest Litigation), the High Court asked the producers to file a counter within two weeks.

The petitioner argued that the Entertainment Tax exemption given to the films by the state governments should belong to the public exchequer and asked the court to look into the matter. The petitioner has cited the Tamil Nadu High Court's verdict regarding the tax exemption to a film as the example.

Satakarni producers Rajeev Reddy, Saibabu and Rudhramadevi producers Gunasekhar and Raagini Guna have been named by the petitioner as the respondents. While Satakarni had received exemption from both the Telugu states, Rudhramadevi had been waived off the E.T only by the Telangana state government.

Both the films were historical films that have significance with rich culture, heritage of Telugus. And interestingly both the films were commercial success at the Box Office. It has to be seen how the respondents would justify the tax waive off and at the same time, how the state governments would justify the act.

Nag's counter Tweet for Chaitu's Tweet

That Nagarjuna is one cool father to his sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil is a well-known fact. The father and his sons bond more like close buddies. In yet another instance, a couple of tweets exchanged by Naga Chaitanya and Nagarjuna are amusing their fans.
This morning, Naga Chaitanya tweeted, “Producer&director of #NC13 aren’t able to decide on a 1st look for the film.they have their own preferences.so will release both tomorrow;-)”
Nag then gave a hilarious counter, saying, “I guess we will know who is right tomorrow.” Needless to say that the talk is all about the title and first look poster of Naga Chaitanya’s ongoing romantic family entertainer in Kalyan Krishna’s direction, which will be releasing on the occasion of Ugadi tomorrow.

Kill Piracy before it kills Katamarayudu and whole film industry

Pawan Kalyan's latest release Katamarayudu already has a tough road ahead at box office amidst unfavorable response from audiences. Now, it is heard that piracy has become another big threat for this routine entertainer.

Some excited fans shared a few clips of the movie on social media sites on the first day itself. If that was not enough, a good quality print of the full movie has now reportedly surfaced on piracy sites.

After a solid opening, Katamarayudu has posted decent numbers on Saturday and Sunday. History has proved that Pawan Kalyan's films can sustain at box office for at least two weeks irrespective of other factors like reviews, promotions etc. However, piracy is one typical menace which can kill almost any film.

As a good quality print has reportedly surfaced on piracy sites, the impact was clearly seen especially at overseas box office. People of this generation might prefer to watch a reasonably good pirated print on internet over going all the way to theatres, especially when the film received mixed response.

If not Pawan, at least makers of Katamarayudu should appeal to fans and movie lovers not to encourage piracy and watch the film only in theatres. This initiation will surely encourage fans of Pawan to actively report the piracy links so that they can be blocked. This can essentially alleviate the damage.

Its high time film fraternity acted severe against piracy mafia. If a Pawan starrer can't escape from piracy, imagine the damage being done to small films.

Karan Johar: Bahubali's magic beats Mughal-e-Azam's

Hotshot Bollywood filmmaker and Baahubali’s Hindi version’s distributor Karan Johar had some pleasantly surprising words of appreciation for the country’s biggest movie franchise during his participation at the grand pre-release event last night.
“Baahubali’, 67 years later, has beaten the magic created by ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ on screen. Rajamouli’s cinema has soul, his personality has gumption and I don’t think I even have ten percent of it,” an exhilarated Karan said.
The shrewd entertainer further said that Baahubali is a result of immense hard-work and dedication, something which he will go back to Mumbai and teach his Bollywood counterparts about.

M M Keeravani tweets tollywood directors as brainless

When musician MM Keeravani announced his retirement two years ago, he surprised one and all. He gave out a statement that he won't be composing music after Rajamouli's Baahubali. Since today marks the audio launch of second installment of Baahubali franchise, Keeravani took to Twitter to thank, share and strike at those who have been traveling with him all these years.
In a series of tweets, the eminent music composer also launched an astonishing attack on Telugu filmmakers by called them 'brainless'. 'I worked mostly with brainless directors. They won't listen to my words,' he posted while sharing his work experience over the years.

In next array of tweets, he added - 'The reason for my best music for SSR. He listens. Directors think that I am just a musician. They won't pay attention for good advise. I predicted many flops of mine while story narration itself. But the directors are deaf. Deafness for good tunes may not harm. But deafness for a good advise is harmful for the director, the film and for myself. If at all I continue working as per my well wishers wish, I don't want to work with deaf and dumb directors.'

Keeravani, who worked with Ram Gopal Varma during the start of career, claimed that he didn't listen to his advice that 'Don't get associated with cheap productions.' Baahubali: The Conclusion  brings an end to 27 years of his terrific journey.

Summing up his tweet-fire, the legendary music director said that he doesn't want to have a boss anymore and added, 'The chances of me continuing are less and less as there are more and more brainless directors in Tollywood. I will let my fans know with my tweet by 5:30PM today - about my continuing/discontinuing.'

Selfie Talk: Pawan Kalyan and KTR

Pawan Kalyan's Katamarayudu, which was released on 24th March, gets an unusual viewer in the form of KTR, Telangana Minister for IT. In what can be called as an rare meeting, the two young and popular leaders sat down on a Sunday afternoon to watch the film.

After watching the film, the minister took to Twitter, 'Watched Katamarayudu. You sure have a winner Kalyan & Sharrath Marar. Appreciate the subtle but strong promotion of Handlooms.'

It can be clearly recalled that Jana Sena chief, during the campaign for 2014 polls, attacked TRS party and their leader KCR many a times in Telangana.

Through the film, Pawan Kalyan promoted handloom clothes and he's also voluntarily come forward to be brand ambassador for Handloom in both the states.

Review : Katamarayudu

Cast : Pawan Kalyan, Shruti Haasan
Director : Kishore Kumar Pardasani(Dolly)
Producer : Sharrath Marar
Music Director : Anup Rubens
Release Date: 24/03/2017

Whenever there is a Pawan Kalyan film coming up, there is a massive buzz all over. After the debacle of Sardaar, Pawan Kalyan is now back with Katamarayudu which has hit the screens all over today. Let’s see how it is.

Story:-

Rayudu(Pawan Kalyan) and his four brothers live a happy life in their village. A strict and serious Rayudu does not marry as he feels that if a girl enters his family, there would be problems between him and his brothers.
On the other hand, all his four brothers are in love and want to get married soon. Knowing that in order for them to get married, they will have to convince Rayudu to marry first as he is the elder one. All of them get together, and make a plan and contact Avanti(Shruthi Haasan) to somehow woo their brother.
When things seem to be going fine, Shruthi Haasan’s family is suddenly targeted by Bhanu(Tarun Arora). Who is this Bhanu? What relation does he have to do with Avanti’s family? How does Rayudu save everyone? That forms the rest of the story.

Pros:-

Pawan Kalyan is undoubtedly the biggest attraction of Katamarayudu. He perfectly suits the elder brother’s character and carries the entire film on his shoulders. Right from Pawan’s traditional look to his classy dialogues, the star hero does full justice and impresses in an author backed role.
Shruthi Haasan is perfectly cast as Pawan’s love interest and all her romantic scenes with him are hugely entertaining. The first half has some decent comedy, romance and slick action sequences making the proceedings quite interesting.
Pawan’s chemistry with all his brothers is also very good. Shiva Balaji and others do their supporting roles quite well. Ali is good with his comedy during the first half.

Cons:-

The interval bang is just about okay and does not have much depth. The story of the film is quite routine and has some predictable scenes throughout the film. Things get disappointing during the second half as too many fights and dull emotions disappoint things a bit.
Anup Ruben’s music is the biggest disappointment for the film as none of his songs impress one bit and even come as speed breakers in the second half. There are not many twists during the second half as the film becomes quite slow during this time.
In spite of doing a superb job, Rao Ramesh’s role has been wasted in the film. The second half has no proper conflict of interest between the hero and villain as Tarun Arora looks pretty weak in front of Pawan’s star status.

Technical Aspects:-

Production values of the film are pretty good as Sharad Marar has spent decent money which shows on screen. The camerawork is top notch as the village visuals and Pawan Kalyan are showcased supremely well. Editing is below average as at least two fights in the second half could have been trimmed down. Dialogues are good and suit Pawan’s body language quite well.
Coming to the director Dolly, he has done a decent job with the film. After filling the first half with some very entertaining moments, he disappoints during the second half. His screenplay takes a beating during this time as the proceedings are filled with only stylish action sequences. Had he brought a bit more depth in the family emotions, things would have been even better.

Conclusion:-
On the whole, Katamarayudu is a treat for all Pawan Kalyan fans. The star hero’s emotional performance, traditional look and superb fun during the first half are huge assets for the film. Katamarayudu is bound to do well among the masses but we need to see how film does in the overseas. If you ignore the routine story line and a slightly dull second half, Katamarayudu is one film which ends up as a decent watch this summer.
