The poster of Mahesh Babu's forthcoming film One has created flutters in T-town. While a few strongly backed the poster, others took opposite side and termed the poster as 'regressive'. Actress Samantha was the first to raise her pitch and faced the wrath of Mahesh Babu's die-hard fans. Directors Nandini Reddy and Shekar Kammula who supported Samantha too tasted the flak. But the pin-up girl Kriti Sanon had remain tight lipped. Finally, she broken her silence. In a sense, she gave fitting reply to people who dubbed the poster as 'regressive'.

Kriti Sanon replies, 'Why would I do anything that disrespect women in any manner? The picture portrayed in the poster is just part of a song and once you watch the song, you will understand that it does not disrespect women. It goes with the lyrics and that's the reason I did it.' Moving on to poster, she said, 'Making the poster was a creative decision.'

Best comedian of 2013

Who is the best comedian of 2013? Any guesses? No, it is not Brahmanandam. Although the seasoned actor has played vital role in the success of films like Nayak, Badshah, Balupu and Attarintiki Daredi, he is getting repetitive and there is no innovation from the directors side. Brahmi remains Brahmi this year. Nothing exceptional from him.
 
Even star comedians like MS Narayana had a very passable year. But one young comedian stood out and took the cake. He is none other than Sapthagiri that made a lasting impact in two of the biggest successes this year. Sapthagiri's comedy in Prema Katha Chitram and Venkatadri Express made those films to become bigger hits.
 
Saptagiri did some cameos earlier, but he got his due this year. His impeccable comedy timing and the way he delivers his dialogues will have you in splits. Director Bhaskar first spotted talent in this guy and gave a lengthy role in Parugu. But Saptagiri had to wait for so long to get noticed by the audience. Yevadu film started to make buzz as it is getting closer to the release date. The confidence being shown by the team itself is raising expectations among fans. The buzz from the industry circles is also very positive. This film is an action thriller with lots of twists and turns that will appeal to all sections of audience it seems.
 
Everyone is speaking great about the interval episode of Yevadu. There will be a mind boggling twist at the interval point that blows everyone away, sources say. Chatrapathi interval episode is considered as one of the best interval episodes in the recent times. Yevadu interval scene will be on par with that and will give goose bumps, they told.
 
Second half of Yevadu will have lots of twists and will be beyond audience expectations. Venky is cautious about his next step

Veteran star Venkatesh is cautious about his next assignments as his last two films didn't do well at the box office. After Shadow and Masala ending up in huge losses, Venkatesh is very careful about the films he takes up. He has walked out of prestigious multi-starrer movie directed by Krishna Vamsi as he is not happy with the role offered to him.
 
Venkatesh has waved green to Maruthi's Radha and before that he wants to finish off Oh My God remake. OMG was a runaway hit in Hindi and Venkatesh is in awe of it. Earlier he thought of playing the role of God in it. But now Venkatesh changed his mind and is planning to do Paresh Rawal's character in Telugu version.
 
Who will play the God then? Venkatesh asked his best friend Chiyaan Vikram to do the role of Lord Krishna in the Telugu remake. If Vikram Okays this role, then OMG will be made in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. Venkatesh won't have duets and romantic scenes in this film. It is a pure concept based entertainer and the subject won't be altered for the remake as well.

Noted critic Rajeev Masand, who lists his hits and pits of Indian Cinema every year, has declared Ram Charan-starrer Zanjeer as "Worst film of 2013". That's not all. Rajeev dubbed Ram Charan as wax model like actor and ripped apart the film directed by Apoorva Lakhia.

Masand gave zero rating to the film in his review. Listing worst films for the year, he wrote on his web page, "Racing up to the top of the shameful list - at the #1 position, my worst film of 2013 - is Zanjeer, a movie so appallingly atrocious that it immediately brought to mind Ramgopal Varma Ki Aag, which I consider the worst Hindi film ever made. Not satisfied with being a hollow imitation of the classic 70s hit Zanjeer, this Apoorva Lakhia-directed remake was embarrassingly ill-conceived and packed with howlers. How Prakash Mehra's own sons could produce this drivel was a mystery. Forget the wax model-like hero Ram Charan, a portly Sanjay Dutt sleep-walking through the film, or Priyanka Chopra chattering away like a six-year-old on a sugar high, I'm still scarred from villain Prakash Raj's grotty dialogues, like that unforgettable, eloquent line, 'Chicken and chicks are the two meows of life.' Showing scant regard for our intelligence or entertainment, Zanjeer stank like a pile of rotting fish."

Rumor? Nitya Menon in Love

It seems Malayali chubby beauty Nitya Menon was struck with cupid arrows.  The way she is moving with the hero Krish Sadar of her latest flick confirm this. The latest film ‘Malini 22′, the remake of Malayalam movie, ‘Malini 22 Palyam Kottai’ is under progress.

Nitya and Kirsh came closer during the shootings and now they are spending most of the time with each other. The unit members are saying that they are moving comfortably very close indicating that something is brewing in between them.

One more striking coincidence is that the director of this original movie in Malayalam Ashique Sabu also fell in love with the heroine of the movie Rima Kalingal and even got married.

Also there is a talk that the makers of 'Malini 22' are intentionally publiczing Nitya-Krish love story as their film is releasing soon. In the film, Nitya Menon is acting as a terrorized rape and assault victim, and Krish is acting as her boyfriend. Watch this space for updates.

Bangkok has become the most happening place for the Tollywood producers.  Of late, ‘Emo Gurram Egarunu Vacchu’ audio was released in Bangkok.  In an unique manner, each song of the audio has been released by the prominent personalities in Tollywood.

One more production unit are up in Bangkok today to release their latest film album. Puri Jagannadh’s ‘Heart Attack’ audio function is planned at Bangkok tonight.  Hero of the movie, Nitin has shared this information with the media. Comedian Ali who is anchoring the programme is going to entertain the audience.

Ramesh had to pay

Hero Ramesh Babu, elder brother of Superstar Mahesh Babu had to pay a fine of Rs25,000/- as per the order of Additional Judge of 9th Metropolitan Magistrate, Kukatpally, Hyderabad.

Ramesh Babu produced a film ‘Athidi’ with Mahesh some four years back.  The film was utterly disastrous at the box office. The issue here is the producers have forgot to display the Censor Certificate before releasing the final print of the film. As per the condition, no film should be released without a Censor Certificate issued by the Censor Board. Failing to comply with the said condition, a case was booked on Ramesh Babu and later was referred to the Court which took this much time.

Now, the final verdict has come out ordering Ramesh Babu to accept his fault for failing to check Censor Certificate before the movie released and ordered him to pay a fine of Rs.25,000/-, The movie was produced by Ramesh Babu on Krishna Productions Banner, while UTV Motion Pictures co-produced and distributed the flick.  Does this fine make any difference to them? But, still they have to obey the law.

The failure and after effects of Zanjeer 2.0 aka Thoofan is not going to take a toll on Mega Powerstar Ram Charan it appears. The young hero is gearing up for yet another mega project in B-town not just to check his luck but to prove his critics who stoned him as a wooden faced actor are quite wrong.
 
Film industry is abuzz that Ram Charan is all set to act in the direction of talented Ashutosh Gowariker in another period film set in the age of kings. This director is known for his stunning period dramas like Lagaan and Jodha Akbar, while his Swades and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey have won marvels. From quite a time, Ashutosh is discussing the possibility of working with Ram Charan as he was smitten by the Telugu hero's Magadheera work. After going through lot of discussions, Ashutosh has come up with fantastic script which got nod of Charan and his mega father Chiranjeevi. The dashing Telugu hero himself revealed that he is pretty excited about this project that will go on floors from October next year.

With Pawan Kalyan's marriage certificate coming out in public and been doing the rounds in social platforms, all the focus is shifted to Pawan Kalyan's wife- Anna Lezhneva. Naturally, the big question on every one's lips is who is Anna Lezhneva? 

Though speculations and media reports are rife that Pawan married to Teenmaar lead actress Danah Marks, we hear that it's faux pas by media including leading dailies. According to our sources, Anna Lezhneva is a side-kick in Teenmaar. Anna Lezhneva is reportedly a junior artiste where she is seen in a bar sequence in the film. Apparently, both Pawan Kalyan and Anna hit it off really well ever since they met on the sets of Teenmaar. They even dated for a while before taking it to the next step. Reports also suggest that Pawan and Anna have a baby girl even before marriage. The news earlier broke when Anna apparently posted her photo with Pawan on social networking sites along with a comment. 'My precious husband without mustache. I'm scared,' she quipped. 

However, Pawan's camp remains tight lipped on who is Anna Lezhneva and hasn't made any official statement yet leaving media to speculate. After calling off marriages with Nandini and Renu Desai, this is Pawan's third marriage.








Lady get up of Sumanth

Here is the sneak peek of Akkineni hero Sumanth in his forthcoming film Emo Gurram Eguravachu. Chandra Siddharth, who earlier directed acclaimed film Aa Naluguru, is wielding the megaphone.

Though, Sumanth was first reluctant to drape a saree, he was later convinced recalling that his grandfather Akkineni Nageswara Rao too donned such lady roles during his early days. Nagarjuna was also seen in similar get up in Ninne Pelladtha (Although he is not completely clad in saree but partially). Well, this is not a full-length role but Sumanth will be seen in such weird get up as part of a song which plays pivotal role in the story.

The shooting and post-production works have been completed. Music composed by Keeravani was recently unveiled in Bangkok and received good response. The makers are now planning to release the film in the second week of January.

Sumanth who proved his mettle with films like Satyam, Godavari and Golkonda High School, has been missing in action for a while. He is making comeback of sorts with this film after a gap of two years. Let's hope Sumanth will be back with a bang

With critics tearing the comic-caper D for Dopidi for his amateriush plot and lacklustre screenplay and even audience giving it a thumbs down, will Mahesh Babu risk his career by doing a film with directors and producers Raj Nidimoru and DK, it seems remote. 

Since in T-town, only 'success counts' and in that parlance, Raj Nidmouru made a mistake by producing and lending their names to a nonsensical movie which exposed their poor judgement and showed that the duo can't grasp the pulse of Telugu viewers. Even their much-hyped B-town film 'Go Goa Gone', didn't spin box office magic and couldn't dish out winner, even with a star like Saif Ali Khan. Since its a very challenging and difficult task, to make a star-centric movie and cater to the huge following of top-notch star, DK and Raj need to re-work their scripts and also instill confidence in the mind of Mahesh Babu, otherwise, it would be non-starter. 

We learnt that Mahesh declined to work with director Krish, after a disaster like 'Krishnam Vande...', so he may show the door, to RJ&Co too, provided producer Aswinin Dutt, takes the responsibility of bringing them together

If 'Paisa' has left strong blemishes on Nani without even releasing, here comes 'Jenda Pai Kapiraju' unleashing new hopes. Trailer of this latest movie feauturing Nani in a double role, and directed by talented Samuthirakani released the other day. In word, the trailer is simply amazing for its intensity. The whole story of the movie is about standing for truth and fighting for it despite the hurdles that arise in the process. Jenda Pai Kapiraju is quite intense though the flick got quite a few shades of 'tamil' exaggeration in terms of tone and scale.
 
We have seen plenty of movies in the past that waged war against corruption and misdeeds of bureaucrats and politicians. Surely 'Jenda Pa Kapiraju'  falls in the same genre, and we have to see how the film actually performs at box office.

Third generation of Akkineni Family came on to the screens in the form of Naga Chaitanya. The stamina of this family reduced further in third generation. Akhil’s debut may raise the standards of this family again in Tollywood. For now, Akkineni Family is trying to put speed breakers for Mahesh’s “One”.

As per the updates, Naga Chaitanya’s “Autonagar Surya” is all set to hit the screens in the month of January next year. “One” too is releasing in the first half of January. If “Autonagar Surya” shows its power at the box office, it may reduce “One” collections to some extent.

Yes, it is now official. Power star tied the nuptial knot for the third time. Md.Basith Siddiequi, Registration Officer of Marriage Registrations Office, Erragada came out with an official announcement putting an end to the rumours by confirming that Pawan married an Australian lady name Anna Lezenova on September 20, 2013

‘Willfully Pawan Kalyan and Anna Lezenova (an Australian) appeared before us, and I’ve legalized their marriage by issuing the certificate on September 20th, 2013′, said the officer. Talking to the media he said that on 30th August, both Pawan and Anna approached their office for filing an affidavit seeking marriage and they have displayed a notice on the office board for 30 days during which time no objections were raised and hence we got them married, confirmed the officer. Once again congratulations and best of luck Pawan.

Pawan Kalyan has earlier married Nandini, and divorced her after falling in love with heroine Renu Desai. Even before Pawan and Renu got married, they have son Akira Nandan, and after marrying in 2009 they have daughter Aadya. So if we have to believe all the reports doing rounds with evidences, Pawan married Anna Lezenova on September 20th, and this is his third marriage.

“One” film is under discussion from the past few months. The hype the film unit is creating on the flick is attracting audience. Heavy expectations are on this venture. Spectators are keen on watching 2 things in this flick. One is Gautham and the other one is Mahesh’s six pack body.

Unfortunately, spectators will enjoy only the first aspect. Even though Mahesh tuned his body for six pack, he won’t be showing his shirtless body in “One”. Mahesh recently cleared this issue saying that he didn’t go for shirtless act in this flick.

This is definitely a tough task for the fans to digest. Suspense on “One” reduced due to this aspect. Looks like, Mahesh revealed this aspect at this point of time just to save his fans from massive disappointment. Or else, they will get disappointed on the first day of “One” release! or it is a marketing strategy? We have to wait and see

The subject of the latest flick in the combination of Victory Venkatesh and youthful director Maruti is going to be a very interesting.  As per the inside news, Venkatesh is playing a role of politician and his female lead in the movie, Nayanathara is playing a role of a girl who is in love with the politician from head over heels. The scenes between them are entertaining and would be highlights of the movie.

Maruti prepared this script that contains heavy dosage of comedy and entertainment. A seasoned actor like Venky for  accepting the said role and a star producer like D.V.V.Danayya coming forward to produce the film shows how Maruti’s command and confidence on his subject .  The title of the movie is ‘Radha’.  Venky earlier movies with titles like Malleswari, Laxmi, Tualsi were block buster hits and this ‘Radha’ too would join the list for sure.

Bheemaneni Sreenivasa Rao, who did some memorable family entertainers, is once again tying up with Pawan Kalyan for his next flick.  His last two films with Pawan ‘Suswagatham’ and ‘Annavaram’ were runaway hits.

As per the industry reports, arrangements are underway for a new movie under their combination and a remake subject is under consideration.  Very recently, Bheemaneni’s movie ‘Sudigadu’ with Naresh was released and scored a hit.

Pawan Kalyan once again dominated everyone by taking away the number one hit of the year. Last year he entered the sixty crore club with that year's top hit Gabbar Singh and this year he broke the number one record of Magadheera with Attarintiki Daredi. Now this film has set Rs. 75 crore benchmark for the next films to come.

Mahesh Babu's superb form continued in this year too. He has scored a hat trick of hits with SVSC. This film is the top 2 film with a share of Rs. 52 crore. Mahesh Babu is eyeing yet another Sankranthi hit with 1 Nenokkadine. He will have two releases next year and therefore he has high chances to bag the top hit of 2014.

Jr. NTR had a mixed year with one hit and one disaster to his credit. With Badshah, NTR has entered the Rs. 40 crore club for the first time in his career. With a total tally of Rs. 45 crore share Badshah stood at fifth position in top hits of the year. However his most anticipated Ramayya Vastavayya ended up as one of the biggest flops of the year.

Ram Charan too performed identical to that of NTR this year. His Naayak was a hit and made Rs. 46 crore at the box office. But his Bollywood debut Zanjeer/Thoofan was a colossal flop. He will be coming for Pongal with Yevadu to test his luck.

Prabhas surprised everyone with one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. Mirchi collected a share of Rs. 48 crore by releasing in an off season. This film proved how big a star is Prabhas. His craze among family audience and youth has multiplied in the last few years and that was seen with Mirchi.

Allu Arjun had only one release this year. Iddarammayilatho opened well but couldn't hold up there for long. This film is a flop, but Allu Arjun has some interesting films to follow up next year.

Raviteja broke the jinx with Balupu and ended his six flop streak. This film collected a share of over Rs. 28 crore and producers trust him once again.

Nagarjuna had a dismal year with two major disasters to his credit. Greeku Veerudu and Bhai both were super flops. He did a cameo in Jagadguru Adi Shankara and that too was a flop.

Venkatesh too suffered two big flops with Shadow and Masala. He is a part of successful SVSC and that is the only respite for this senior star.

Balakrishna didn't have a release in 2013. In thirty years of his career, this is the first time ever that Balakrishna turned a calendar without single film to his credit.

Sukumar, director of ‘One’ is going to perform a rare feat in the movie by dubbing with 70 artists at a time.  Listening to 70 people talking all at a time will definitely give a new feeling to the audience. The first of its kind dubbing in a Telugu movie is underway.  As the existing dubbing theatres do not support this process, they have been modeled accordingly.  Sukumar wanted to have a natural feel in the scene and hence all this exercise.

Sukumar is known for his technical par excellence.  Each one of his earlier films compete with each other in terms of quality in technical output.  Very few directors are endowed with the rare quality of preparing a racy script and reflect the same on the screen too in totality. 2013 turned out to the best year for few heroes while it destroyed few others lives. For few heroes, 2013 turned out to be a balanced year. The heroes who encountered balanced year are, Jr.NTR, Venkatesh and Ram Charan.

Jr.NTR bagged a hit with “Badshah” in the first half of 2013 and later on tasted flop with “Ramayya Vastavayya” in the second half. Same is the case with Ram Charan. He shot to fame with “Nayak” in the first half and lost the fame with “Toofan” in the second half.

Venkatesh’s SVSC created huge market in Tollywood. It rocked the screens this year in Pongal season. Later on, “Shadow” destroyed the fame completely. With one hit and one flop, these actors balanced their career in 2013.

‘Race Gurram’ in Summer only

Buuny’s ‘Race Gurram’ is all set to release as Summer sensation. As planned earlier, the film could not be released for Sankranthi as  already sizeable number of films are already in the fray.  With the shortage of theatres and other adjustments among the producers and distributors, it has been postponed to February. But, now the horse took a bit long leap and is getting ready for April release, a time when most of the public examinations will be over.

From 5th January onwards, balance two songs of the movie will be shoot.  ‘Kick’ fame Surender Reddy is the director and  Shruthi Hassan is playing the female to Allu Arjun with DSP scoring the music.

Prince Mahesh Babu is now enjoying time in Police Station. As per the updates, Srinu Vaitla is aiming to show Mahesh as powerful Police officer in the upcoming flick “Aagadu”. It seems that the film unit erected wonderful Police Station set in Hyderabad.

Even though, Mahesh acted as Police in couple of flicks, he was not seen in Police Station as a cop. Now, film makers are erecting Police Station set, which means that Mahesh Babu will be seen in Police Station. Recently, spectators got thrilled seen Pawan in “Gabbar Singh” Police Station.

Now, Mahesh too may show his stamina in the Police Station. In “Gabbar Singh”, Harish Shankar planned couple of high quotient comedy scenes in Police Station. “How will Srinu Vaitla plan the Police Station episode in the upcoming film?” turned interesting. Stay tuned!

Surya in Telugu with VV Vinayak

If reports are to be believed, Tamil hero Surya has given green signal to V.V.Vinayak to do a straight Telugu film in his direction and efforts are underway to make this crazy combination a hit. His brother Karthik has already got good support in Telugu audience with a couple of his earlier films were super hits.

In the past, even Telugu producers tried to cast Surya in a straight Tollywood movie, but could not be materialised.  Now, the Studio Green productions, who regularly produce films with Surya and Karthik, are producing this film too which will be a bilingual.  Discussions are going on with Vinayak and if things fall in place, the shooting may begin in the next year middle.

Big challenge for Nadhiya

Prince Mahesh, Power Star Pawan Kalyan are 2 top competitors in Tollywood. Both these heroes have one thing in common. They give high priority to certain characters in their flicks. Prakash Raj, Nazzar’s roles in “Dookudu” can be considered as perfect examples. Similarly, Nadiya’s role in “Atharintiki Daredhi” too is one such type.

With these flicks, these supporting actors turned out to be big shots in the industry in the recent times. In case of Prakash Raj and Nazzar, the impact is a bit less as they are well established actors. But, in case of Nadiya, the impact can be clearly seen. Her remuneration got almost doubled after “Atharintiki Daredhi”.

Now, Nadiya will be seen as Mahesh’s sister in the upcoming venture. Analysts are expecting that Srinu Vaitla may include strong sister sentiment in the venture. If this happens, “Aagadu” will be a big challenge for Nadiya.
