Pawan's quill belt and keychain are for sale

The concept of auctioning merchandise from films is quite prevalent in Hollywood. But slowly, we are getting there and it is good to see even Tollywood embracing that culture. Now, an interesting news is emerging from the camp of the forthcoming release 'Gopala Gopala'.

Talk is that the quill keychain along with the belt buckle with the same quill worn by power star Pawan Kalyan is expected to be auctioned after the film's release. The proceeds of that would be used for a noble cause but the makers feel it would also help in creating a lot of buzz and promotion for the film.

There is no doubt that if the power star's quill belt is auctioned, it would get a tremendous response. For that matter, even the bike he is seen using can be kept aside. If you can recall, the uniform worn by Pawan in his blockbuster movie 'Gabbar Singh' was auctioned by heroine Samantha for a cause. Let us see what happens to the quill belt and keychain now.

Gopala Gopala as got U certigicate

Due to the sensitive content that takes a shot on god and especially some spiritual leaders of Hinduism, everyone is eagerly waiting to see what will be Censor Report of most awaited multi-starrer 'Gopala Gopala'. Here come some exclusive details.

Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh's latest offing 'Gopala Gopala' finished its Censor formalities today and the flick is likely to get U certificate. Interestingly, Censor Board hasn't found fault with any of the content as they thought that certain scenes in the flick are really thought provoking. On a whole, we are hearing positive reports about Pawan Kalyan's cameo and Venkatesh's stunning comedy timing. As the flick is given 'U' Certificate, everyone could happily enjoy it for Sankranthi eve.

Coming to movie's release date, producer Dil Raju is taking care of the release and confirmed to almost all the distributors that the flick will hit screens on January 10th. Everyone in the business is making arrangements towards it.

Pawan to fly Australia for surgery

It is important for any actor or politician to be in public glare continuously. Also both politics and films are two different professions and striking a balance between both of the them is extremely difficult. Even Legend NTR struggled to strike balance both. Actor cum Politician Pawan Kalyan is not any different in this issue.

Also the actor is suffering from severe back pain from the last few years. The actor picked up the back pain several years ago after his Kushi movie. He is postponing the imminent surgery from years. Off late the back is troubling him very much and he is not even able to shoot continuously for his films. He is managing the shooting by taking numerous gaps.

It is said that the actor is expected to fly to Australia by the end of this month and will have to get surgery. The actor will be attended by a team of best specialists in Austrailia. He may have to be confined to bed for about 2 months after the surgery. Also the doctors say even after the surgery, Pawan Kalyan's back may not take the pressure of both politics and films. He may have to choose between the both very soon!

The actor's latest offering, Gopala Gopala, a multistarer film with Victory Venkatesh is all set to release this Sankranthi. The actor also now has the immense responsibility of building his Jana Sena party ready for the upcoming GHMC elections. Given the huge political aspirations he have, Pawan Kalyan may choose politics over films, sources say.

Samantha : Sid is a great guy, this is personnel, stop

So the longtime relationship of Samantha and Siddharth has come to an end. They broke up and Samantha just made it official. News about Sam-Sid breakup surfaced in a popular English daily in which the journalist claimed that Samantha is deeply hurt by the breakup.

Samantha didn't entirely agree with the article published in the news paper and said that it sounds like she is a victim in this relationship. She said that Siddharth is a great guy and asked media to stop taking sides. "The article in the DC makes me look like the victim.I am not.Siddharth is a great guy. Media stop taking sides. This is personal. STOP"Sam tweeted on her twitter page.

Samantha also said that there won't be any further clarifications or comments about her relationship. So she has officially confirmed that the relationship has come to an end. Let's not dig in to the details as she clearly stated that it is personal.

Teaser talk: Surya Vs Surya, stunning story line

Young hero Nikhil is delivering interesting films in a row as he scored back to hits with Swamya Ra Ra and Karthikeya though the difference between the two releases is huge. And now, he is coming up with "Surya Vs Surya", directed by a newcomer, director turned cinematographer Karthik Gattamaneni.

If we have to go by the teaser, the story is all about a guy named Surya who is suffering from a genetic disorder. He cannot roam in the sun as such will kill him due to sun rays affecting his skin. And this guy has a life only in the nights, as he roams through streets and enjoys every single moment. But what if he falls in love with a girl and couldn't go out with her in the day? That's what we have to watch on silver screen.

New comer Karthik has picked a stunning storyline and Nikhil delivered decent performance yet again. Undoubtedly this silences down the saviours of Telugu cinema who feel that our directors don't come up with rich content to make movies.

ANR never wanted Nagarjuna to become a hero

Akkineni Nagarjuna is entertaining crowds as a leading hero and even now his 'romantic' craze is intact. Probably we need to compliement his lean looks like a youth star which still make girls go jaw dropping. He will be completing nearly 30 years in film industry as a hero very soon. But the bitter fact remains the same that his dad, the legendary ANR never liked to make him a hero and sizzle on silver screen with heroism.

Those were the days when Telugu Industry has newly shifted its base to Hyderabad from Chennai. It could be recalled that only Akkineni Nageswara Rao has come here, only to be followed by his contemporaries like NTR, Krishna and juniors like Chiranjeevi later. At that time, Nagarjuna is pursuing engineering in computer science in USA. Nageswara Rao never showed liking towards making his younger son a hero on screen, as he wanted family to keep away from film industry. But relatives and friends pressurized ANR to turn Nag into an actor.
And when ANR's younger son Nagarjuna became actor, whatever happened is a 'history' which we all know. Today Nagarjuna is not just a hero, but he is an iconic businessman with ventures sprawling from media to food and hospitality industries.

Why did they invested huge amount on "I" for telugu rights

As Shankar is excited to bring his latest creation "I" to audiences on January 14th, even audiences are waiting eagerly to see marvels he has designed with versatile actor Vikram and beautiful Amy Jackson spreading their charms already through teasers. However the fact remains true that this film should amass nearly 40 crores in Telugu circuit alone to bail out the buyers safely from their investment.

Telugu version producer NV Prasad has acquired the theatrical rights of "I" for nearly 35 crores, say trade insiders. In that case, he would have sold out the flick to local buyers for a profit of nearly 5 crores, though in some areas he is releasing it on his own. On a whole, 40 crores business happened regarding Shankar's "I", which sounds quite huge and alarming. Earlier a super hit film like "Robo" which also had the Rajnikanth backdrop, managed to amass only 30 crores nearly. Now imagine the range of hit this "I" should score in order to bring profits to buyers. Leave profits alone, let investments recover first.

Kalyan Ram's Pataas postponed to Jan 23rd

Pawan-Venky's 'Gopala Gopala' is yet to declare its firm stand on the release, producer Suresh Babu made it clear to distributors that it will be either January 9th or 10th. They are going to finalize the date after discussing with all the leading distributors and buyers. On the flipside, makers of 'I' confirmed that January 14th is their arrival date. This has put Nandamuri Kalyanram's 'Pataas' in a jinx now, as he thought of arriving on January 12th.

Apparently the distance between Gopala Gopala and I is just five days, leaving very short gap for any other film in get in the middle. Though availability of theatres is not an issue, primary concern here is the hit-nature of these films. Generally in holiday season, family audiences consider to watch hit movies and enjoy rather patronizing a film with average content. As Pataas happens to be a regular mass masala movie, Kalyan Ram and his distributor Dil Raju are not sure if they could cash on the Sankranthi season. Presence of two other biggies is slimming their chances. For the now, January 23rd is also being considered.

Will it be a answer for critics, charan

Ram Charan tried for an image makeover with his previous film Govindudu Andarivadele. Although Charan's attempt was appreciated, the film didn't give the necessary boost to the actor who thought of penetrating into the overseas market. With GAV ending up as an average fare, critics of Ram Charan branded him as one dimensional actor.

Mega Powerstar is all set to hit back at his critics with his next film directed by Srinu Vaitla. This film is said to be a complete entertainer that has everything to please all sections of audience. Srinu Vailta, who received brickbats for his previous film Aagadu, is hell bent on proving his capabilities as director with this movie.

This is the first film of Ram Charan that has loads of comedy as well as action besides family drama. Srinu Vailta's script has everything for everyone and the sources close to Charan are betting big on this one. This will be Charan's film that will do wonders from A to C centers, they say. We are waiting Charan!

No match for Anushka

Anushka is arguably the best heroine of Telugu cinema industry for over a period of time. She faced stiff competition from actresses like Ileana, Samantha and Tamanna, but none of them could really match to the screen presence and aura of Anushka. There is no other actress that fits in the roles of Arundathi and Rudrama Devi like Anushka does.

Anushka was only seen in Lingaa in 2014, but this year is going to be hers both in Telugu and Tamil industries. She will be seen in Bahubali, Rudrama Devi which are going to release in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. She also has Yennai Arindhal in Tamil starring Ajith Kumar in the lead.

All these films are riding on high expectations and it will be hard for other heroines to stand up to Anushka this year. These films will surely take her to another level as an actress and on the flipside she may face problems in finding right characters after appearing in films like Bahubali and Rudrama Devi that has huge canvas and span.

Trivikram,Allu Arjun film's new schedule started in Hyderbad

We all know that the successful combination of director Trivikram and stylish star Allu Arjun have teamed up again. According to the latest update, a new schedule has kick started today in Hyderabad. Some key and important scenes will be shot during this schedule.

Already the dubbing formalities have also kick started for this romantic entertainer which will hit the screens in summer 2015. Bunny will be seen as a wedding planner in this film which has Samantha, Adah Sharma and Nitya Menon in lead roles.

Produced by K Radhakrishna, this film also features Rajendra Prasad, Upendra and Sneha in other prominent roles while DSP scores music.

From the past few days, there were some reports that the trailer of the film will be released on the auspicious occasion of Sankranti. Denying all these rumors, Gunasekhar himself revealed to us that the trailer will be out soon but not on Sankranti.

Rudhramadevi is the first ever Indian historic film to be made in 3D. Some big names like Allu Arjun and Rana Daggubati are also involved in this project which has music by Ilayaraja. Gunasekhar himself produces this film on his own banner Guna Team Works.

Can Kalyan Ram escape Aagadu's influence

Kalyan Ram is still contemplating to join the race or not, but ace producer Dil Raju is quite excited to fit their 'Pataas' between Gopala Gopala and I release dates. As the teaser of the flick created a storm, cine lovers are eagerly waiting to see if the film could escape Aagadu effect.

It could be remarked that 'Aagadu' is having pretty shades of Gabbar Singh, though Sreenu Vytla tried his best to keep the content fresh. And now that the same writer Anil Ravipudi who wrote for Aagadu along with Vytla is turning director with Pataas, Nandamuri fans are little worried. They say, he might have those Gabbar Singh influenced Aagadu thoughts all over his mind while penning this script. Scripts like GS and Aagadu, irrespective of their victory at box office, suit only certain heroes who got that larger than life image.

Even a demi-god like Mahesh bored audiences as dialogues went over the board, with story taking a huge beating in the second half. We have to see how Anil worked hard to escape from the influences of his past flick to carve out Kalyan Ram as a powerful cop.

Linga distributors to start hunger strike on 10th jan

As the losses incurred to them are not getting repaid by either producer Rockline Venkatesh or Superstar Rajnikanth, few Tamil distributors are getting ready to go on a hunger strike on January 10 at Valluvar Kottam, Chennai.

We all know that Rajnikanth's latest movie 'Lingaa' failed to evince interest among cine lovers as it has fallen flat on day one itself. The film failed to rake in moolah at the box office, and incurred almost 60% losses for distributors at all places. When these distributors met Rajni, they are assured that Christmas and New Year holidays will help pick up the collections. But no miracle has happened and movie theatres are buzzing with empty seats.

We hear that distributors from Trichy-Tanjore region have released a note indicating that they will go on hunger strike from 10th if their losses are not repaid. For the first time in history, Rajnikanth is facing such an embarrassment from the distributors and buyers.

shankar's "I" confirmed for 14th jan

Shankar’s ‘I’ is easily one of the most eagerly anticipated movies in the recent years. Promotions of the movie are going on a huge scale and according to the latest update, the makers have confirmed the release date to 14th of January.

Made with a huge budget and world class technicians, this film has Vikram in three different roles and Amy Jackson plays the female lead. A.R.Rahman has provided chart busting music for this flick which is directed by Shankar.

Kona started preproduction work for Balayya's 99th movie

Even before Nandamuri Balakrishna is yet to complete his 98th film Lion, the pre-production works for his 99th film are going on at brisk pace. As we reported earlier, director Sriwaas will be wielding Balayya's next movie as he is riding high with the super success of Loukyam. What's more?

Noted writer duo Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan were roped in to pen script for this much-awaited film. Already Kona and Gopi have finished the script work. It is heard that the script is shaped up well. For the first-time, Kona and Gopi have worked for Balayya's film. Keeping in Balayya's craze among masses, Kona and Gopi have written witty
punch liners.

Soon after the release of Lion, Balayya would be joining the shooting of his 99th film. Besides this, Balakrishna is also keeping a tab on politics and government activities in his Hindupur constituency.

Pawan Kalyan's fans president's throat was slit by a unknown person

One more mishap had occurred at the so called Big Fat Audio Function in Tollywood.  As usually there was a heavy demand for audio passes. Fans thronged at the gates of Shilpa Kala Vedhika by afternoon and were seen trying for the passes or sneak in to the audio function some how.

It was then Kanna Srinivas, a fans President of Pawan Kalyan some how managed few passes and is distributing to his acquaintances. One fan 'Unknown' approached him for a pass but only to get refused. A heated argument took place between both of them and this 'Unknown' fan slit the throat of Srinivas and fled away from the place with the passes.

Srinivas was admitted in Image hospital which is near to Shilpakala Vedika. He was given first aid and shifted to Sunshine hospital as the doctors said that he would need a surgery due to serious neck injury. Srinivas friends claim that the attackers also pulled away gold chains from Srinivas during the attack.

Police registered FIR and investigating the case. Is this a random attack or a planned attack is what appears to be a mystery at this point.  The worse thing is the organizers seem to be least bothered about the incident and went on with the event as usually. Its high time fans of any actor need to realize that life is more important rather than attendance to audio functions!

Akhil's girl friend should look tender and innocent

The much awaited debut project of Akhil Akkineni finally was launched last month. But the regular shooting of the movie is yet to begin. Earlier the makers planned to begin the shoot from January 7th. But the shooting date is now deferred to the end of the month. All this delay is as a result of the team's failure to fix a heroine for the film who will play the girl friend of Akhil.

With boyish looks of Akhil, the makers want a girl who looks tender, innocent and at the same time pretty to attract the masses. Usually heroines become irrelevant in crazy star projects, but since ANR and Nagarjuna are famous for their romance with heroines, the makers stuffed good romance between the lead pair in the film and so want a girl apt beside Akhil.

Earlier Alia Bhatt, Sridevi's daughter Jahnavi, Raashi Khanna and Amyra Dastur were considered for the role. Recently a photoshoot is done on Akhil and Sunil Shetty's daughter Aadiya. But still the makers did not finalize the heroine and are looking for more options. Aadiya is very soon going to make her Bollywood debut beside Suraj Pancholi in a movie titled 'Hero' directed by Nikhil Advani.

VV Vinayak who recently successfully introduced Bellamkonda Srinivas with Alludu Seenu will be directing this film. Nithin and his father Sudhakar Reddy will be producing the film under their Sresht Movies Banner. Devi Sri Prasad will be composing for the film which will have story penned by 'Damarukham' fame Veligonda Srinivas.

Ilayaraj sent legal notice to Shankar

South India's leading filmmaker Shankar got into the bad books of none other than Maestro Ilayaraja. The issue is regarding the copy-rights of a popular song!

Apparently, Shankar is known to be active as producer since the past few years. His latest Tamil production 'Kappal' starring Vaibhav has hit the screens recently. In this flick, Ilayaraja's chartbuster song 'Ooru Veetu Ooru Vanthu' from 'Karakatakaran' has been used without seeking prior permission from the composer.

Now, Ilayaraja has sent a legal notice to Shankar demanding compensation for using his product. He also warned 'S Pictures', the production house owned by Shankar, to either remove the song from 'Kappal' or facing legal action.

In response to the legal notice, S Pictures clarified that it had acquired the rights of the song from the music label which released 'Karakatakaran' into market.

Telugu Film industry is in crisis

The Rs 1,000-cr Telugu film industry is in a crisis. It has fallen into an abyss and as things stand now, it will be near impossible for it to come out of it. Reason: the hero-director-writer have turned villains and stripped the producer of his money and legitimate position in the film industry. The affect of it was there to see in 2014. Out of the investment  of an average calculated figure of Rs 1,000 crore, the industry would have got back only 40 per cent returns.

Out of the nearly 200 films that have been produced, the highest number of straight films ever, the success rate has only been 8 to 10 per cent. "That is cause for concern. There are reasons why it is happening. The producer is just being treated like a cashier. All that he has to do is give money and stay away from every aspect of film-making," said Mohan Vadlapatla, producers' sector chairman, A P Film Chamber of Commerce.

Mohan Vadlapatla who is also the joint secretary of Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) said if the film industry has to flourish, the producer has to be brought back to the centre-stage. "The producer is the owner of the ship. He should necessarily have the liberty to even fire the captain of the ship, who is the director. If a film is not steered back to safety, it will hit the iceberg. The one who will sink is the producer himself," Vadlapatla said.

According to film industry sources, the performance of most films has been bad at the box-office and several films of top stars also disappointed. The affect is that producers are now not even able to raise money to producer films. "Earlier, if a producer got the dates of big heroes, financiers would come forward to provide the money. Today, the situation has drastically changed. Financiers are unwilling to make a gamble and take a chance. They are asking producers to deposit their property papers as guarantee," said producer K Ashok Kumar, who is the treasurer of A P Film Chamber of Commerce.

A clique has emerged in the Telugu film industry whose actions have become detrimental to the interests of producers and the film industry at large. The click of directors-stars-technicians is milking the producer dry. And the producer himself is being treated like dirt.

Top film heroes are literally running after successful directors. Time was when the producer used to work out the cast and crew of his film. Not anymore, at least for big-budget films. In fact, it is like that even for most small-budget films.

With heroes showing preference to work with certain directors, it is the directors who are now calling the shots. All that the directors are doing, in a new formula that has emerged is that, they hire the technicians and artistes and decide on their payments. All that the producer has to do is supply money and play spectator. It is learnt that some writers and technicians are charging up to Rs one crore per film.

"If we are in a mess today, it is because of the high production costs of films and low quality films," said V C Harinath Reddy, exhibitor from Pileru in Chittoor district. "There is only 20 per cent occupancy in theatres. And that is spelling the doom for many theatres. There were 2,700 theatres in AP and Telangana until a few years ago. Now there are only 1,600 as it is not profitable to be in cinema business anymore," Harinath Reddy said. Harinath Reddy who is executive member from the exhibitors sector in the A P Film Chamber of Commerce has several decades of experience in the film industry. In fact, his father V Shekhara Reddy used to run a touring talkies wherein films would be screened under tents. An analysis of the audience shows that out only males in the age group of 15-35 come to watch movies and hardly any women or families come to the theatres. "The film industry is just surviving just because some people are still suffering the brunt of it and keeping it alive. Otherwise, in general, the future looks dark bleak," he said.

Hamsa roped for Nag's Movie

According to reliable source, item beauty Hamsa Nandini has bagged yet another plum offer. She will be grooving alongside Nagarjuna Akkineni for his next Soggade Chinni Nayana. Being directed by newcomer Kalyan Krishna, the film will have Nag in dual roles - grandfather and grandson. Ramya Krishna and Lavanya Tripathi will be romancing Nag respectively.

As soon as Hamsa is approached for the song, it is learnt that she jumped and bagged the project. Besides the song, she will also be doing a role in the film.

Earlier, Hamsa Nandini was seen in films like Eega, Mirchi and proved her both acting and dancing mettle. Now Nag has roped in Hamsa for the meaty song. Item songs in Nag's films have been popular including Sakku Bhai...Gharam Chai in Bhai which has Charmi. It's indeed great offer for Hamsa.

Cherry to romance with Samantha

Tollywood is bracing up for interesting combinations in the year 2015. For the first of its kind, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is going to pair up with Mega Power Star Ram Charan in his upcoming film. According to sources, Samantha is being considered opposite Charan in his next film to be directed by Sreenu Vaitla. It is learnt that Samantha too is keen to come on board. Although earlier Samantha and Charan were supposed to team up for Yevadu, it didn't take place for various reasons. Now, Sam and Charan are going to join their  forces. An official confirmation regarding this is awaited.

Tipped to be an action entertainer, Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan will provide story, screenplay and the film will be produced by DVV Danayya. Although Charan so far romanced Tamanna, Kajal and Shruti Haasan, he couldn't team up with Samantha. Now Mega fans have a reason to smile as both Charan and Sam are going to shake their legs. The shooting of the film will begin in this month only (Jan 2015).
