Litmus test for Jakkanna?

Bahubali will be the real challenge ?

Ace director Rajamouli delivered biggest block busters in the past and we are all very confident on Rajaouli that his upcoming film Bahubali will also meet the huge expectations of audience!.. or not?

So far I think, Student No.1 is my biggest favorite because making a super hit with then Jr.NTR is not a joke. As he said in many interviews, I can truly understand how much tensed he was until that movie got released. By saying that, I do not mean all his other flicks are not that good. Simhadri undoubtedly was best entertainer with right mix of entertainment and action and same way Vikramarkudu.

Chatrapathi was good in parts, second half especially Shafi’s character was boring to watch second time. Magadheera was a regular re-birth kind of story with some nice graphics which are new to common Telugu audience. I can not deny the fact that Ram Charan’s expression less face helped the movie a big time as Kala Bhairava needs that hard rock face all the time..! No offense..

Sye on the other hand for me was a real good film, in terms of direction and screen play. I do not know why it did not score well on far with other Rajamouli’s super hits.Maryada Ramanna was a regular flick. Nothing to tell about it.

Eega is a brilliant film indeed . I loved it. He has shown some real directorial talent with this flick.

But Bahubali to me is the real genuine test to Rajamouli. Film might get excellent opening due to the combination of Rajamouli and Prabhas, But it is complete out and out folklore story based on some fictional characters. Making a film in this era is a real litmus test. One thing is true, whether it will impress critics or  not, but kids all over the world will embrace this film, especially in USA this film is going to be No.1 surpassing all previous records.

If Rajamouli makes some magic and impresses critics and both regular audience, then Bahubali will cross all boundaries of Telugu film for sure. Lets wait and see.

What an Idea Bunnyji!

Allu Arjun is one of the few stars in Tollywood who behaves very casual on and off the screen which is what brought him a guy next door image. Keeping this image aside, the strategy and planning he is applying to his career from the beginning is simply perfect and reminds me something like slow and steady wins the race.

Unlike other star heroes, he expanded his stamina in Kerala which is indeed one of its kind. Now he is a star hero in two languages and as per sources his next move is to do a straight movie in Tamil and is keen on grabbing the Tamil market to like other Tamil heroes Surya and Karthik who are good in both Tamil and Telugu.

Imagine the day if his movies doing well in both Telugu and Tamil languages, then he will sure stand as one of the highest paid actors in south India very soon. The day may not be too far by seeing his steady graph. Looks like Allu Arjun adoped the business acument from his father Allu Aravind. Way to go Bunny.

Siddharth: Tweets on rumors

Siddharth dismisses rumours Julayi.com

Siddharth quashes rumours of having a teenage son.

The media went berserk flashing news about Siddharth and Samantha secretly marrying but the actor has finally broken his silence over his relationship status.

There were reports earlier that Siddharth had married his childhood sweetheart and is a father of a teenage boy but later divorced his wife when he started dating Samantha during the making of Jabardasth. However, an obviously angry Siddharth has come out strongly over all these baseless rumours.

This is what Siddharth on has posted on his Twitter account, “So many random rumours about me and my family these past few days used to bother me a lot. I think I’ve become numb. Have some respect. Similar lies written about me a decade ago led to people still believing I have teenage children. One irresponsible article goes a long way. I’m 35 years old. I’m working harder than I’ve ever worked. When I settle down in life I’ll let you all know. Till then, just chill. Please.”

So rumour mongers RIP for now!

Raja mouli: Why they are manipulating the results?

Why is Jakkanna disappointed Julayi.com
Ace-filmmaker Rajamouli is a brilliant director of our times but that does not mean he is forever behind the lens; the director has also shown tremendous interest in politics as well. In fact, during the elections the filmmaker took to Twitter and had urged people to vote.

But the sudden turn of events in the state with regard to the ZPTC and MPTC results has utterly disappointed Rajamouli and he has stated that the results are tampered by TV channels. He has actually stated, “How come each TV channel is showing different number in MPTC, ZPTC results? Where can we get the actual number? Any Govt bulletin? how can any channel cheat on actual results??? Beats me…,”

This actually gives rise to many questions: first, why does not the government consider releasing bulletin units at least now? But, how authentic will these results be? Because almost every news channel is owned by a political party and there is a greater chance of manipulating the results. It is time for us to think of serious solution to this menace.

Manam satellite rights sold for hefty sum

Manam satellite rights sold for hefty sum

Akkineni’s much-awaited and anticipated family entertainer Manam is due for release on the 23rd of May. But the makers are rejoicing even before the film hit the screensand the reason is that the satellite rights of Manam has been sold for a whopping price.

It is natural for all of us to conclude that Manam will obviously be bought by Maa TV but to everyone’s surprise it was Gemini TV that struck the deal for a handsome price of Rs 8 crore.

Manam is directed by Vikram and produced by the Akkinenis. The star cast includes legendary actor Akkineni Nageshwara Rao (this is his last film), Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya, Shriya Saran and Samantha Ruth Prabhu are playing lead roles in the film. Cherry in Chiru's 150th movie?

Chiru and Cherry film?
This might be the most exciting news for Mega fans as Film Nagar is abuzz with the news that mega star Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan will soon be acting in a film. If rumors have to be believed Chiranjeevi is talking to a few writers to pen a good script that will feature himself and Ram Charan, which is also said to be his 150th film.

Ram Charan is currently working in Krishna Vamsi’s family entertainer Govindudu Andari Vaadele while his dad Chiranjeevi is busy with the ongoing election fever across the country.

Does this mean Chiranjeevi is sensing the end of his political career and thus planning to get back to where he aptly belongs -films? And that too a film with Ram Charan coinciding to be his 150th film seems to be a brilliant move at this juncture.

Chiranjeevi is expected to announce his 150th film on the occasion of his birthday, which is on the 22nd of August.

The rumor mills are also speculating that this mega project featuring the father-son duo will most probably be produced by Allu Arvind under the Geeta Arts banner and might be directed by Puri Jagannath or V.V Vinayak.

As of now there are no confirmed reports of this project, so let us patiently wait for the official announcement.

Yamaleela Indraja in Ajay's movie?

Indraja reentry

Remember spicy girl Indraja? The actress who sizzled in Sogasu Chooda Tarama is loads of talent but had had loads of bad luck too that she could not get offers she actually deserved in the early 90s.

The actress had got sidelined very soon, but is now coming back with Ajay’s movie. Koti is directing ‘Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya’ with Ajay as lead. Indraja is reentering with this movie as Ajay’s female lead.

But don’t frown, because Ajay is doing dual role in the movie and Indraja will befemale lead to the senior Ajay! Indraja’s role in the movie is rumored to be very impressive. But has bad luck left her or no yet?

Is Aagadu is a sequel?

Aagadu is a sequel

Mahesh starrer Dookudu was a blockbuster movie, once again the same combination is doing Aagadu movie. With Srinu Vaitla as director, Mahesh and Tamanna in the main lead roles, Aagadu is briskly proceeding with shooting.

Latest, a rumor is strongly buzzing in the film nagar circles – that Aagadu is Dookudu sequel and that its a continuation of Dookudu movie. While in Dookudu Mahesh wasseen as police (as undercover cop for some time and as a politician for sometime) Aagadu will show Mahesh as full fledged police officer.

Even though Aagadu team has dismissed the sequel rumor, as the film is progressing there are talks that this is turning out to be Dookudu sequel. The movie is gearing up for October release. 14 Reels has become a home banner for Mahesh and they are producing the movie.

OMG! now: Deva Devam Bhaje

OMG! Deva Devam Bhaje
The 2013 Hindi blockbuster movie, Oh My God, remake in Telugu was announcedlong back. The movie will have Venkatesh in the lead role and Pawan Kalyan in guest appearance.

The movie shooting has not started due to Pawan’s sudden political entry. But with the roadblocks now cleared the movie will start its regular shooting from May 19th.

Before that the makers are considering to name the Telugu version as Deva Devam Bhaje. In the recent days we have heard this song in Pawan’s movie and so Pawan’s fans are also very excited at the title. As compared to previously considered Ori Devuda, the new title Deva Devam Bhaje definitely sounds classy, no?

NTR to make us laugh?

NTR comedy in Rabhasa
NTR is in a desperate mode now. The actor needs a hit now to recover from the Ramayya Vastavayya debacle. With Rabhasa shooting getting disturbed and movie release getting delayed, there have been curiosity across the NTR fans about the movie ‘s future.

But they can all relax now with NTR trying his hands at comedy in Rabhasa. According to the director, Santosh Srinivas, NTR is doing two roles in the movie and is going to take the audience on a laughter riot in Rabhasa.

Earlier too the movies that NTR tried his hands at comedy have been quite successful at the box office and should NTR strike comic timing then we are sure Rabhasa will be the movie that can bring NTR back to stardom. All the best belioved NTR!

They burnt down an effigy of the Rajinikanth

Superstar insulted

Superstar insulted

Superstar Thalaiva Rajinikanth’s picture Linga has begun in Mysore couple of days ago. The shooting for the movie has commenced and the unit is in Karnataka. But superstar gets insulted there.

Although Rajni originally belongs to Karnataka, due to his stand on Cauvery waters for the Tamilnadu people, the superstar got criticized. And when all that now seem insignificant, suddenly some people came protesting against Rajinikanth’s movie shooting in the state. They are objecting the shooting and are saying they will not allow Rajini to do a movie in their state. They even burnt down an effigy of the star.

We need to wait and see how Rajini will react to people’s over reaction.

Is Pawan to be Deputy Chief Minister?

Pawan to be Deputy Chief Minister?

Yes, it looks. With the Lagadapati Rajagopal survey declaring TDP a winner in the seemandhra elections, Babu has started his exercise on who will be who in hiscabinet. Lagadapati survey has always been more or less the same every time so there is no reason why it will not be same now.

In this context TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu has announced that he will have two deputy chief ministers. With Naidu aspiring to become CM for the third time (or rather first time for the seemandhra state) he plans to induct two deputies; a BC deputy CM and another from Kapu community. So who else has the eligibility other than Pawan Kalyan from the Kapus? After all he has been touring the state with Naidu and his powerful speeches are making people to rethink about their valuable vote, so he deserves to get the post.

Do you think TDP cadres will support Naidu’s idea of giving top post to a non party  ember?

Anamika movie review

Movie: Anamika
Cast: Nayantara, Pasupathy, Vaibhav Reddy, Harshavardhan Rane
Music: MM Keeravani
Director: Sekhar Kammula
Produced by: Endemol India

Story :
Even before the release the Sekhar Kammula’s directorial has got huge buzz. Being a remake of superhit Hindi movie Kahaani, the movie was released with many expectations. The suspense thriller had had award winning actor Vidya Balan in the lead role. Did the Telugu remake live up to the buzz it has garnered? Did Nayantara do a job as Vidya Balan did? Read on…

Performances:
Anamika is a wonderful suspense thriller and Nayantara has delivered a remarkableperformance and she forms the main attraction of the movie.
Sekhar Kammula treats us to a fantastic screenplay and equally engrossing is MM Keeravani’s music; all the songs are treat to your cochlea and the background score will be remembered for a long time. Notwithstanding is Vijay C Kumar’s unbelievable camera angles.
This surely is not your regular commercial entertainer but if you are ok for a different movie then you will be lost in some of the emotional moments in the second half which form as highlight of Anaamika movie.
Sekhar Kammula convinces even with slow narration with a gripping screenplay but then some logic-missing gaps in the movie during first half are sure to disappoint audience.

Analysis:
Although Sekhar Kammula picked up a remake, he has done considerable changes in the story and tweaked suitably to convince the native sensibilities without actually deviating from the theme of the movie. The twists in the story gives edge og the seat thrill feeling to the audience . Sekhar Kammula gives one of a kind climax and it treats the movie lovers especially all those who have not seen the original.

Anamika (Nayanathara) is an NRI who lands in Hyderabad coming in search of her missing husband Ajay. She lodges a complaint with the local police. All but Inspector Sarathy refuse to help her. The mystery that unfolds as both go out in search of Ananka’s husband should be watched on the big screen.

Viabhav Reddy played a cop and he is sympathetic one at that. He does a good job. Harshvardhan Rane played Anamika’s husband and has a small role at that. His brief screen presence is also impressive. Pasupathy did a brillant job and he elevates the movie. Dialogues by Sekhar Kammula and Yendamuri Veerendra are second to none and too good. The two add emotional touch to story.

What to talk about production values? The movie comes with memorable production values. At the technical front, Vijay Kumar’s camera, Marthand’s editing skills and music deserve a mention. Though second half could have gotten more trimming.

Verdict:
Anaamika is a brilliant remake of Kahaani and no one else would present it as good as Sekhar Kammula did. The suspense thriller is a must watch. Lock your weekend to watch the best of Nayantara and Sekhar Kammula in Anamika movie. You will not be disappointed.
