Family hero Srikanth is coming up with a movie titled 'Malligadu Marriage Bureau'. It is nice to see him doing movies though they are not clicking much at box office these days. Talking about this film's heroine Mano Chitra, a Telugu girl from a coastal town, she should be appreciated for her down to earth nature. The other day when the audio function of this latest flick is going on in a open arena, suddenly it rained heavily. Though some people rushed to a cover, the movie crew made sure that they stand even in rain and deliver their message. At the same time, heroine Mano Chitra too hasn't left the stage and drenched in wet, unlike running to a cover fearing a smudging of her makeup.

People who have seen Mano Chitra doing this are praising her heavily. Because, heroines these days feel bad if their makeup goes wrong, or if their dress gets dirty in public. But though her dress has got wet, and her makeup got little disturbed, the aspiring actress made sure she stands by the stage. 







Mahesh to stay by his word

Impressed with the trial shoots on the sets of 'Arjun', superstar Mahesh Babu reportedly promised to his friend and director Gunasekar, that would like to do the pivotal role of Kakatiya warrior Gonaganna Reddy, on the sets of their film 'Arjun' few years ago. We all know that the ace director has erected a opulent Madurai Meenakshi Temple set for the film but very few know, that during the breaks, the director used to do some trial shoots for his pet project 'Rudramma Devi' with 
Smitha Madhav who played sita role in Gunasekar Balaramayan was supposed to play Rudrama Devi, but later she dropped out for marriage, since by then, the director had full-bound script of the Kakatiya Queen on hand.

Instead of taking rest, the director used to work hard to capture some good moments in the artistic sets and Mahesh Babu who got to know of it, summoned Guna for a brief chat. When, he listened to the captivating historical story line and particularly about this special character Gonaganna Reddy, he instantly promised to director, that would like to 'play that role', whenever the director would make the dream movie.

At last, Gunesekar began his  dream project few months ago and midway approached Mahesh and reminded him about the role of fearless senathipathi and the discussions have been fruitful and even Mahesh re-collected his 'promise' he made to the director. However, the actor who is tied up with films like 'One' and 'Agadu', had to spare a good number days, for this role, so he is trying hard to accommodate, Rudramma Devi, into his scheme of things. In fact, the actor, is grateful to director Gunasekar who made him a star material with smashing hit 'Okkadu' and got him the 'larger-than-life' image, which has made him a superstar overnight. Now, its time for the actor to return the favour by keeping up his word and give the director who also turned a producer, a much-needed blockbuster

Since the release of Iddarammayilatho, there is no news of stylish star Allu Arjun except the actor giving relief to his fans through the commercials of a cell-phone selling outlet. One wonders what is actually happening with him and here goes an interesting update.

After dilly-dallying for a while, Allu Arjun has finally started working on director Surender Reddy's project that is tentatively titled 'Race Gurram'. Though there is no official news about this project, now and then we are hearing about it through some leaks. Latest update is that the shooting of Race Gurram will be wrapped up in a couple of weeks. The unit is right now filming key action sequences related to climax at Jedcherla. Including Bunny, main villain Ravi Kishan and comedy king Brahmanandam are taking part in this shoot. Sources say that the film will release either in February or after March.

Also, Bunny hasn't confirmed the news of his wife's pregnancy, but they say he is spending lot of time with her taking all the care.

Young actor Sandeep Kishan, who from a time is getting lauded for his talent but not scoring a hit anytime, has now got his fortunes changed. For the first time, he got everything right under the skin, from output to reviews. Check this out.

Sandeep is notable in Telugu circuits ever since his negative role in Prasthanam movie. Though he has done a bunch of Telugu movies later, success was never his cup of tea. Always his movies lacked something, though he has given his hundred percent. Finally, latest movie 'Venkatadri Express' saved him to the core, by gaining huge positive reviews from every film critic. Also Sandeep's performance scored decent marks, and many rated that he is mature and bankable now. Analysts feel that this flick will be successful commercially too as there is no opponent at box office for next few weeks. In that case, we should rate this as Sandeep's first hit.

Following Venkatadri Express, Sandeep Kishan is gearing up with releases like D For Dopidi and DK Bose. If both these unreleased flicks too get some overwhelming response, then our young hero will not have a looking back hopefully. Wait and see.

Of course, Jr NTR is expected to team up with Trivikram but news is arriving from Mega camp that the spinner of words will be starting his work with Allu Arjun from January. The combination of Julayi, including Bunny, director Trivikram and producer Radakrishna are teaming up again. It is quite surprising to see why Trivikram decided to work with his old partner, Allu Arjun, rather picking up Jr NTR. Insiders revealed that is it Junior who messed it up but not Trivikram.

Actually after the completion of 'Julayi', Trivikram is heard promising another flick for producer Radha Krishna. Though the director is willing to work with young tiger, our hero asked him to pick up another producer but not Radha Krishna. That led to Trivikram's middle drop, as the writer-director wants to stick to his prior commitment. That's the story doing rounds folks!

Yet again, gen x star Samantha has been struck with deadly illness 'rashes on her skin' and would she approach Tantrick of Kerala, Mr. Vineeth Bhat, to cure her illness and eject negative energy out of her body. Just, she lost a plum project opposite Tamil star Surya as she couldn't make to their schedule in Mumbai, citing illness and could lose few more. Buzz is that, the producers are planning to organise the audio release of the movie in three cities Hyderabad, Vizag and Tirupathi within half an hour period and for the purpose, a private chartered flight was booked on hire.  Freedom of expression still prevails in our country

At last, Manchu family sighed a relief with the verdict of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.  As we were aware, AP Brahmana Sangham filed several Writ Petitions seeking total ban of ‘Denikaina Ready’ movie alleging that some scenes in the film showed against them in poor light and were offensive in nature.

With the pressure mounting on them, the Court ordered for deletion of two scenes. But the producer and actor Mohan Babu appealed against the said order.  The case went on for a year and today the Court verdict has come out in support of Mohan Babu.

This is a great victory not only for Manchu family whose relentless pursuit brought them this success but also benefit other film makers who may have to encounter this sort of hurdles in future. This verdict is a proof that freedom of expression still prevails in our country. Well done Manchu family.

Well, twitter is already buzzing about Megastar Chiranjeevi's comeback movie, of course the much awaited 150th one. Here comes interesting news that is being added to it, multiplying the joy of mega fans.

There is nothing bigger than 150th movie for Megastar's fans that are waiting from a long time for their demi-god's comeback. It is heard that none other than India's most hyped director Shankar has convinced Chiranjeevi with his latest movie. Apparently, movies like Oke Okkadu and also Sivaji are offered to Chiru by our sensational director, but our numero uno has simply denied them all. Both Megastar and Shankar expressed their desire to work with each other publicly, but that never materialized. It is now heard that Shankar has come up with another 'remix' of his popular socio-fantasy subjects. Though this will not be an Aparchitudu kind, it will be another fighting against corruption and corrupted politicians. Impressed by Shankar's story, Chiru has given the nod, say sources.

In fact, once certain things go wrong, we'll never touch such subjects, people and places for a long time. But it looks like Mega powerstar Ram Charan does not fear any such things, and now that is bringing 'Orange' memories back to his fans.

Big news is that Ram Charan's upcoming movie under the direction of Krishna Vamsi is going to have a unique backdrop. If you could control your heartbeat, the film is going to be shot extensively in Australia as it happens to be a family story of NRIs based in Sydney. Names like Sydney and Australia immediately brings back the memories 'Orange' has given to mega fans. Because of shooting in Australia for more than the stipulated time period, producer Nagababu burned his pockets for Orange. One wonders what prompted Charan to pick Australia again though he burned his hands with it earlier.

Anyway, cine observers say that controlling budget and making a movie watchable, unlike Orange, all lies in the hands of director and producer. So it should be Krishnavamsi and Bandla Ganesh, who should be careful to not give another 'Orange'.

After  a series of duds, Kalyan Ram, is determined to regain his winning touch and has reportedly approached Puri to give him a blockbuster. After disasters like 'Kathi' and 'om', the actor has realised that he needs a star filmmaker, to get back to his winning ways of 'Athanokkade'. 

Since Puri has began to work Nitin and Vishnu Babu, so Kalyan would have felt that better timing, to approach the hit maker and close a deal. Will the deal comes through or not, the strategy, of cousin of jr NTR to get into the star league, is quite interesting. Will Puri say 'yes', that the million dollar question.







I have learned much from Mahesh

Young actor Sundeep Kishan doesn't have any big hits to his credit. Despite not having anything to boast of, Sundeep is one of the busiest actors in T town now. Three of his films are ready for release and another one is on sets. He is all set to try his luck with Venkatadri Express.

Sundeep Kishan says that he didn't plan to release all the films at a time. "It happened and we are taking care to have enough space between the releases. Venkatadri Express is releasing on November 29 and D for Dopidi will release on December 25th. There will be considerable gap between D for Dopidi and DK Bose," Sundeep told.

His previous film Mahesh was a dud. Sundeep is unhappy about the film's result. "That film was made in Tamil and crucial ten minutes in the film was edited in Telugu. Also it went wrong in translation. I learnt a lesson from it and make sure that such things never happen in the future. I make sure that only films that work in Telugu be dubbed from other languages when I sign a film," Sundeep said in an interview.

Sundeep Kishan's latest film Venkatadri Express, which created some buzz with pre release trailers, has arrived in theaters now. Is the film promising enough?

What is it about?

Sandeep (Sandeep) cannot sit and watch when others are in problems. But his father (Nagineedu) is a strict man, who doesn't want his son to get involved in everybody's headaches. At a point Sandeep's father gets vexed with his son and says that if he commits one more mistake he will be thrown out of the family. But Sandeep can't help himself from getting involved in others problems. Their family boards Venkatadri Express train to reach Tirupathi for Sandeep's brother's marriage. But Sandeep misses the train. Now he will have to catch it before his father realizes that he has done another mistake.

Performances:

Sundeep Kishan's casual acting is good. He suited the character to the T and the director made sure that heroism doesn’t go overboard. Rakul Preeth Singh is a pretty face. She is okay as an actress. Nagineedu is being typecast in these roles. Saptagiri once again excelled with his comic timing. Tagubothu Ramesh steals the show. Brahmaji is competent and all others chipped in when needed.

Technicalities: 

The film has some good technical support. The entire credit of using the technical team to the best advantage of the film should go to Director Merlapaka Gandhi. The story is simple. It’s about a person who commits ninety nine mistakes and is on the verge being thrown out of his home. In the process to impress his family he takes a major deal in brother’s marriage. A funny story that happens around a train journey from Hyderabad to Tirupathi.

Venkatadri Express, which is directed by young debutant director Merlapaka Gandhi (Karmara Devuda short film fame) whose treatment leaves a lot to be desired. Screenplay is shabby in the second half. Gandhi has good flair for conceiving comedy scenes. He succeeded in comedy department in the first half and failed in elevating the emotions part in the second half. The scenes of catching train speed with Auto, Car and Bus are very unconvincing. The scenes in the climax between Sundeep and Nagineedu are unconvincing reminds you the Bommarilu sequence. Chota K. Naidu has also excelled in outdoor photography.

Editing is not crisp. Editor could have easily cut short scenes pre interval like ATM machine scene – Car sequence and MS Narayana Scenes. All these dialogues are pretty natural and are in lighter vein. Songs by Ramana Gogula are good in the film. Picturization of Melamellaga is very pleasant. All other songs also serve entertainment purpose. Rerecording of the film is good. Visual effects by CGtrix is neat. Production Values are promising.

Analysis:

Most of the directors fumble in handling a road film. Director Gandhi clearly knew what he was dealing and made sure that the film doesn't go off track. Whenever the proceedings seemed monotonous he has cleverly banked upon comedy and this tactic has worked in favor of Venkatadri Express.

At a point even comedy didn't help much as the director tried to drag the movie unnecessarily. He should have kept it simple rather going for an elaborate two and a half hours film. Had this been a two hour film, Venkatadri Express might have been thoroughly entertaining without any hassles.

            

Climax is good but that is dragged too. Director's over dependence on comedy handicapped the movie to some extent. Barring these negatives, this movie is an entertaining ride. Train journeys are often boring and those unwanted stops due to 'crossings' wouldn't be exciting. Watching Venkatadri Express too has some of those boring moments, but on a whole it will entertain and keep you engaged most of the time.

After series of flops, Jr NTR has initiated damage control steps. He has become wiser and more choosy compared to before, according to his close aides. That's not all. NTR will be putting all his eggs in one basket that is his next venture Joru directed by Santosh Srinivas. Don't want to take anymore chances, NTR this time is going to focus solely on this project and kept the rest of them over the roof.

Going by sources, NTR is avoiding future projects for time being. Though NTR is in talks with directors like Puri Jagannadh, Harish Shankar again and many others, he has made it clear that he will work on one film at a time and this is his condition. 

Meanwhile, NTR has allotted bulk dates for Joru and adamant on wrapping up the film by April 2014. And the Simhadri star will announce his next project only when this film reaches its final stage.





Two different personalities to work together

While ace director Ram Gopal Varma is all set to direct Vishnu Manchu in his next, the tinsel town buzz is that there is a great possibility of Collection King Mohan Babu sharing screen space in the film. Recently, Varma has met Mohan Babu in Tirupathi and held discussions which possibly turn fruitful. It is buzzed that it's dream for Mohan Babu, who acted in 600-odd films, to team up with trend-setting director Varma.

Yet there is no clue on who is going to produce this film, we hear, Manchus only produce the film. This yet-to-be-titled film would take off in January.

Given that RGV and Mohan Babu are two extreme personalities altogether, Film Nagar folks are wondering how the environment on the sets of this film is going to be. Lets wait and see.

Gabbar Singh success brought instant fame to its director Harish Shankar and he too became over confident over night. But his latest debacle with Jr NTR showed the stamina of Harish Shankar and it changed his ‘most sought after director’ status to the ‘most dreaded director.’

Even those makers who have booked him well in advance after paying some token money are not showing up at the director, willing to even forego the money they have paid him in advance. One BO disaster has changed life for this director, sadly!

Earlier we have reported that Harish Shankar and Allu Arjun are coming together for a movie. But according to the latest buzz we got from the film nagar birdies, Bunny is hesitant (say, unwilling) to team up with the flop director. DVV Danayya were to produce the commercial entertainer if it took off.

Currently Bunny is doing Race Gurram under Surender Reddy and he will move to Trivikram’s camp next after Race Gurram and he will then act for film by Gopichand Malineni film.

Now Harish Shankar has launched a hero hunt in place of Allu Arjun. And know what DVV Danayya too dropped off from the project. So Harish might also need a producer for the film.

This the reason one should learn, when  you have a hit everyone run after you, once you deliver a flop thats it no one will see you again. every project is important and handle it with care.

Why Anasuya rejects

It has been a practice in Tollywood to pick up a few actors, actresses and other creative individuals who were financially broken and struggling for livelihood for a trip to USA.  Every year, MAA will organise a trip to USA and few other countries with a selected group of artists. Many of them vie with each other to confirm a berth for the trip, as it is an opportunity to earn some bucks besides enjoying the foreign locales. And to be part of this delegation, a heavy lobbying is there.

But, one girl who is not at all interested to be part of this group is TV anchor Anasuya.  She got to limelight with ETV comedy show ‘Jabardast’.  The show became a smashing hit and she got good following from all over.  Though MAA has offered a chance to her to visit USA, as she got fan following there, she has been rejecting.

Generally, no artist would like to miss the opportunity, as it is a to and fro paid trip with free accommodation besides they will return back by earning at least 2k to 5k USD.  In spite of all these, Anasuya was not a bit concerned for this trip.  Cine folks are wondering over her decision for not cashing on the fan following she has.  May be, she might have some other big plans, who knows???

Yes, the makers of Mahesh’s most awaited movie of the year, 1 Nenokkadine are not willing to sell the movie distribution rights. They are too sure about its performance at the box office that they wanted to retain that for them in many areas.

The Guntur area and also distribution for North Andhra were nevertheless sold but other areas makers wanted to distribute it. It is learnt that the makers are damn confident that Mahesh’s movie will break all box office records. Now we call it a gusty move considering the fact this is a big-budget movie crossing 60 crores. What if the result is opposite of what they are expecting?

That said, their confidence (or say over confidence) is sure to raise expectations among movie enthusiasts and fans too, no?

Lucky guy

Yes Sudigadu seems to have become lucky guy. Look who is he romancing in his latest? Believe or not he is paired up with Karthika in his upcoming movie.

The movie is directed by dialogue writer Chinni Krishna. And although the dusky actress seems to be riding on some flops the makers want to take this risk after some calculations and roped in Karthika to play second fiddle to Naresh in their untitled project.

The makers of the film did consider many girls and eventually zeroed in on Kathika for the slim girl they were looking for. We need to wait for official confirmation of the same though. Chandra Siddharth is scoring music for the movie.

Fame and problems come at same time

Money is not panacea to problems. If that were the case all celebrities earning huge money should be always hale and happy which is seldom a reality. In fact money brings in with it hell lot of problems too.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the young actress who shot to fame in a very quick time is an example we are talking here. In spite of her position in the industry, the remuneration she is getting, the line up of movies she has got she is not happy instead suffering from depression.

Samantha has all her call sheets full for the coming two years. But that is her problem too. Even after giving a blockbuster hit like Attarintiki Daredi, the actress could not take some time off work and enjoy a break and its making Samantha restless. In the recent times she has had several bouts of flu that disturbed her schedules. With time bound schedules, beautiful girl seems to be not getting good resting time.

The latest buzz doing rounds in Film Nagar is that director Srikanth Addala has said "no" to direct Power Star Pawan Kalyan. While the whole lot of top directors are in queue and dying to work with the star, Srikanth's decision has come as a shock to many. Buzz is that PVP Cinema is planning a film with Pawan Kalyan after his Gabbar Singh 2. For this venture, PVP has reportedly contacted Srikanth Addala but in vain. Srikanth couldn't take up as he wants to put all his energies for the launch of Varun Tej, son of Naga Babu. 

This is not first time, Srikanth missed a chance to direct Pawan as he was the first choice for Mahesh Babu's role in Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu alongside Venky which later went to Mahesh. So, let's wait and watch who is going to bag this golden chance to direct Pawan.
