ANR never wanted Nagarjuna to become a hero

Akkineni Nagarjuna is entertaining crowds as a leading hero and even now his 'romantic' craze is intact. Probably we need to compliement his lean looks like a youth star which still make girls go jaw dropping. He will be completing nearly 30 years in film industry as a hero very soon. But the bitter fact remains the same that his dad, the legendary ANR never liked to make him a hero and sizzle on silver screen with heroism.

Those were the days when Telugu Industry has newly shifted its base to Hyderabad from Chennai. It could be recalled that only Akkineni Nageswara Rao has come here, only to be followed by his contemporaries like NTR, Krishna and juniors like Chiranjeevi later. At that time, Nagarjuna is pursuing engineering in computer science in USA. Nageswara Rao never showed liking towards making his younger son a hero on screen, as he wanted family to keep away from film industry. But relatives and friends pressurized ANR to turn Nag into an actor.
And when ANR's younger son Nagarjuna became actor, whatever happened is a 'history' which we all know. Today Nagarjuna is not just a hero, but he is an iconic businessman with ventures sprawling from media to food and hospitality industries.
