You need one more hit: Sundeep Kishan

At last, Sundeep Kishan could score a hit with Venkadri Express.  The film was gaining good momentum in terms of collections all over the State and overseas also.  But the critics are not at all willing to credit this success into Sundeep’s account but to the heroine of the movie Rakul Preet Singh.

As per their analysis, it was her sex appeal and glamour that went in favour of the film.  Also, the fantastic photography by Chota K Nayudu was another reason for the film’s success.  But the main reason is Director Merlapaka Gandhi son of writer Merlapaka Murali’s grip over the story and it lucid narration that brought the laurels to the film.  Last but not the least, the critics vote goes to the Producer Gemini Kiran for producing such a film.

So far so good, but the hero Sundeep’s name is not covered at any stage and in fact they were feeling that he needs more grooming as an actor and a single hit is not the end of the road.  For a budding hero like him, a hit is badly needed to make a mark in the industry.  It is a basic courtesy for the critics to encourage such actors rather pulling them down with straight forward painful comments.

Venky you need a better director

We are aware about the huge success of Akshay Kumar’s Bollywood film ‘Oh My God’ .  Telugu remake rights of the movie have been  taken by Suresh Productions with Venkatesh playing the lead role. Even the cast and crew were finalised by the producers and the film is ready to go on to the sets.

But Vekatesh’s recently released Bollywood remake ‘Masala’ did not go well with the audience and one more flop has been registered in his account as well as for Ram. This made Venky to think twice about his doing another Bollywood remake. Due to his dilemma, the film has been kept on hold.

Frankly speaking, Venky really suits the role of Akshaya Kumar, but he needs a competent director who can handle this unique subject successfully. There is no dearth of such directors in Tamil, better try one among them Venky. Best of luck.
