Gautham Menon is one Tamil film director who has the adulation of Telugu movie lovers. Because of the acceptance of Telugu people only, he has been making most of his films as bilinguals. However, the director seems to have no respect or concern for the Telugu versions of his bilinguals.
This Friday, on November 11, Menon's directorial 'Saahasam Swasaga Saagipo (SSS)' starring Naga Chaitanya and its Tamil version 'Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada (AYM)' starring Simbu got a simultaneous release. As the director of both Telugu and Tamil versions, Menon was expected to treat the films equally but his actions hint that he has prejudice towards the Tamil film.
Menon has been actively promoting AYM and he has also asked people to report the piracy of that film. What about SSS, Mr. bilingual director? After announcing the release date of SSS, more than a week ago, he has not yet made a single tweet about the film but he continued to promote AYM on twitter.
"More than 600 plus screens all over India and still counting for #AYM. That's huge. Awesome support from theatres and distributors.
Thank you for all the love & making #AYM a BLOCKBUSTER.The effort, the wait, the issues-all feel justified. A big thank you.
Report piracy of #AYM to info@copyrightmedia.in," are some of the many other tweets for AYM.
It may be recalled that the release date of SSS has been postponed several times because of its Tamil version. After resolving the differences with Simbu, Menon completed AYM and finally gave a life to SSS. The Telugu version and its producers have suffered so much but the director shows no concern at all.
