Jakkanna "highest earner" in Sunil's career!

Once a star comedian, Sunil turned hero and tasted initial success. However, he has been struggling of late to score a solid hit. Recently, Sunil's latest comedy entertainer Jakkanna was released to scathing reviews from most of the critics.

Apart from the critics, even moviegoers gave the film a thumbs down due to the age-old entertainment factor. On the other hand, trade analysts reported that after the opening day bravado, Jakkanna failed to sustain the momentum at the ticket window.

However, the film's producer R Sudharshan Reddy refuses to accept these negative reports on his film and claimed that Jakkanna has collected the highest opening day share of 3.78 crores, creating a new record for Sunil.

Furthermore, the producer stated that Jakkanna went on to collect a whopping 15.28 crore share in 12 days, making it the 'highest earner' in Sunil's career. Jakkanna was directed by Vamsi Krishna Akella and starred Mannara Chopra as the female lead.
