Ali is one of those rare comedians who tasted tremendous success as a hero in the 90s. Although he is a successful comedian, he has been testing his luck as lead hero as well.
As per latest reports, journalist turned film director Nagu Gavara has recently narrated a story to Ali and received his nod. The film is titled 'Sanjay Ramaswamy' with 'Gatham Gelukkunna Gajini' as caption. The interesting title and caption have generated good buzz for this project in trade.
Said to be an out and out comedy, the film is said to be a spoof of sorts on Suriya and AR Murugadoss's iconic blockbuster film 'Gajini'. Sanjay Ramaswamy is the name of the character played by Suriya in Gajini. More details about this project will be announced in due time. Ali hopes to score a hit as hero at least with this film.
He was last seen as a full-fledged hero in 'Ali Baba Okkade Donga', which was released in 2013. He continues to impress as a comedian though.
